OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — Fiserv Inc. (NYSE: FI), a global technology company specializing in financial services and payments, has unveiled plans for the development of a $175 million fintech headquarters in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park.

The company will renovate two buildings on the Aspiria corporate campus — formerly the headquarters of telecom company Sprint that is now owned by Occidental Management — which houses 3.9 million square feet of office space across 20 buildings. The new office will join a growing list of innovation centers across the country for Fiserv, including locations in Alpharetta, Ga.; Milwaukee; Omaha, Neb.; Berkeley Heights, N.J.; and New York City.

“The greater Kansas City metro area offers a dynamic environment with a growing population of tech talent, making it the ideal location for Fiserv’s next strategic fintech hub,” says Frank Bisignano, chairman and CEO of Fiserv.

Situated at 6500 and 6550 Sprint Parkway, Fiserv’s new headquarters will span 427,000 square feet, marking the largest office recruitment in Kansas history, according to the office of Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly. Fiserv picked Overland Park for its central U.S. location, in addition to its proximity to the company’s Midwestern clients and the region’s affordability.

The new hub will also bring 2,000 technology and operations-related jobs to the local community, offering opportunities to graduates of regional higher education institutions and to veterans transitioning to civilian careers. Annual salaries at the facility will average about $102,000, with the anticipation of up to $4 billion in payroll investment and $6.5 billion in total economic impact over the next decade, according to Fiserv.

The Overland Park campus will feature amenities that will support the well-being of its employees, including fitness, dining and collaborative spaces. Fiserv is also expected to secure LEED certification for the office, “underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability.”

A detailed timeline for the project was not announced, but Fiserv expects to open its fintech headquarters in two phases beginning in 2026, according to the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Founded in 1984, Milwaukee-based Fiserv is a Fortune 500 company focused on enabling financial institutions, businesses, and consumers to move money and information. Fiserv has acquired more than 24 companies since its inception, with its largest acquisition of First Data Corp. in 2019 for $22 billion.

Fiserv’s stock price closed on Wednesday, April 23 at $217.10 per share, up from $152.25 a year ago, a 42.6 percent increase.
