YUMA, ARIZ. — Colliers International has arranged the sale of Best Western Inn & Suites, located at 1450 S. Castle Dome Ave. in Yuma. Palm Springs Inn LLC acquired the hotel from Yuma Hospitality Properties for $16 million. James Meng and Jon Grantham of Colliers in Greater Phoenix represented the seller, while Steve Usher of Titan Hospitality and Susan Lee of Ocean 5 Investments represented the buyer in the deal. Built in 1998, the hotel features 166 rooms and suites spread across six buildings.

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. — Ware Malcomb has announced the completion of Arizona Desert Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, a medical office located at 13555 W. McDowell Road in Goodyear, a suburb of Phoenix. Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and design services for the project. The redesigned 5,200-square-foot property features seven exam rooms, four offices, a sinus procedure room, allergy testing room, audio room, instrument cleaning room, conference room and break room. Design features include sliding barn doors for the conference room, a prominent work surface for the medical assistant station, a spacious waiting room and a check-in/out desk that doubles as a workroom behind a built-in bookshelf. Aksarben served as general contractor for the project.

TUCSON, ARIZ. — DSW Commercial Real Estate, along with Iridius Capital and JCR Capital, has purchased Campbell Plaza, a shopping center located along Campbell Avenue in Tucson. The Krausz Cos. sold the property for $33 million. Albertson’s and Ross Dress for Less are tenants at the 190,022-square-foot, core-plus asset. Mark Lucescu of Lucescu Realty represented the seller, while James Hardman of DSW Commercial Real Estate represented the buyer. Tim Storey of Newmark Realty Capital secured equity and debt financing for the acquisition.

PHOENIX — Brookdale Senior Living has completed an expansion at its Brookdale Desert Ridge community in Phoenix, adding 20 units for memory care residents. Brookdale invested approximately $2.5 million into the project. Memory care will be provided through the company’s Clare Bridge program. A grand opening for the expansion was held on Thursday, Oct. 11. Brookdale Senior Living is the largest owner and operator in the United States, with approximately 980 communities in 46 states.

CHANDLER, ARIZ. — Los Angeles-based Cohen Asset Management has completed the sale of Iridium @ Price Road Corridor, an industrial property in Chandler. Braintree, Mass.-based Bay Capital acquired the property for $16 million. Will Strong of Cushman & Wakefield Capital Markets led the company’s team that represented the seller in the deal. Constructed in 1986 and renovated in 2017, the 69,820-square-foot property is fully air conditioned, provides heavy power and has features a large fenced and secured yard. The asset also includes approximately three acres of vacant land for future expansion. Iridium Communications, a mobile voice and data satellite communications network, is the sole tenant of the property.

PHOENIX — SVN Desert Commercial Advisors has arranged the sale of a multifamily community, located at 717 E. Roeser Road in Phoenix. Luis Melendez sold the property to Shashikant Jogani with Pro Residential Services for $1.3 million, or $67,500 per unit. The 16,000-square-foot property features 20 two-bedroom apartments with individual meters for electricity. The buyer plans to implement a light renovation program to the property. Danny Lee of SVN Desert Commercial represented the seller and procured the buyer in the all-cash transaction.

TUCSON, ARIZ. — Heslin Holdings has acquired a former grocery-anchored retail building, located at 5548 E. Grant Road in Tucson. Albertson’s sold the property for $2.5 million. The 35,000-square-foot property is situated on the southeast corner of Grant and Craycroft roads. Safeway formerly occupied the space. The company plans to invest $1.5 million in development and improvement efforts at the property, which is part of its larger plan to invest $75 million in retail properties over the next year. The property will be remodeled, repositioned and leased to a single retailer, slated to open in 2019.

PHOENIX — Orion Investment Real Estate has arranged the sale of Campbell Shops at 24th, a retail center in Phoenix. Yuma-based Santa Fe Arms LLC sold the property to KCS Arizona for $4 million, or $466 per square foot. At the time of sale, the approximately 8,584-square-foot property was fully occupied. Tenants include 7-Eleven, Ye Old Pipe & Tobacco, Fit Optical and Noble Eatery. Ari Spiro and Sean Stutzman of Orion Investment represented the seller, while Larry Kush of Orion and Sunhee Lee of Cambridge Properties represented the buyer in the deal.

PHOENIX — The Koll Co. and Seera International Bank have completed the sale of Buckeye Logistics Center, a distribution center located at 6835 W. Buckeye Road in Phoenix. An undisclosed buyer acquired the property for $98.3 million. Amazon occupies the 1 million-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility. Originally built as a 604,678-square-foot facility in 2007, Amazon has expanded the property to accommodate its growing clothing and soft goods inventory. The Koll Co. acquired the property in 2016 for $74.7 million and worked with Amazon to convert the property to meet its needs, including the acquisition of an adjacent parcel for additional truck trailer storage. The Koll Co., along with Mark Detmer and Bo Mills of JLL, also renegotiated the tenant’s lease, extending Amazon’s term to more than 10 years.

PHOENIX — SVN Desert Commercial has arranged the sale of an office building, located at 810 W. Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. Arizona Medical Association (ARMA) sold the property to a Katie Hess, founder of Lotuswei, for $1.1 million. ARMA was the only occupant and owner of the 15,304-square-foot building, which was built in 1970, until the sale. The seller plans to relocate, while the new owner plans to occupy the majority of the building with small spaces available for lease. Justin Horwitz and Paul Borgesen II of SVN Desert Commercial represented the seller in the deal.
