OCEANSIDE, CALIF. — Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the $14.2 million sale of Best Plaza, a 65,211-square-foot shopping center in Oceanside, located 38 miles outside San Diego. The center was 35 percent occupied at the time of sale by tenants including CVS/pharmacy, Chase Bank and Papa John’s Pizza. Pacifica Cos. acquired the property from 1702 Oceanside Associates LTD through an online auction. Dixie Walker and Charley Simpson of Cushman & Wakefield and Ron Pepper of Retail Insite represented the seller in the transaction.

LOS ANGELES — New Era has opened the doors to its permanent retail space — The New Era D-Lab — inside STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Inside the new 3,160-square-foot store is a ‘New Era by You’ customization area. Customers can design their own New Era cap by choosing from hundreds of team logos, colors and fabrics. The single-level store also features: • The Blocking Machine: Used to stretch a cap to fit a person’s head more comfortably, to reshape a cap to its original form and to clean a cap. • The Heat Seal Machine: Used to adhere a patch to the side of a cap. The New Era D-Lab is part of a multi-year agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships in 2016, which named New Era as a founding partner and the exclusive headwear supplier of L.A. LIVE, the LA Kings, Microsoft Theater and The Novo by Microsoft. The store is located in the front of STAPLES Center on the corner of Chick Hearn Court and Figueroa, looking onto Microsoft Square.
DINUBA, CALIF. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a property net leased to DaVita Dialysis at 520 E. North Way in Dinuba. An individual/personal trust acquired the 9,000-square-foot property for $3.6 million. Mark Ruble, Jamie Medress and Chris Lind of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a limited liability company, while Jacob Becher and Christopher Secreto, also of Marcus & Millichap, represented the buyer in the deal.
HESPERIA, CALIF. — Faris Lee Investments has arranged the sale of a single-tenant, triple-net leased retail property located at 14075 Main St. in Hesperia. Hesperia-Main Street LLC sold the 3,600-square-foot property to a Los Angeles-based private investor for $3.3 million, or $911 per square foot. U.S. Bank occupies the property, which was built in 2007. Nicholas Coo and Joseph Chichester of Faris Lee Investments represented the seller in deal.
YUCCA VALLEY, CALIF. — Progressive Real Estate Partners has arranged the sale of Shoppes @ Balsa 62, a multi-tenant retail pad located at 58132 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. A Northern California-based investor acquired the 6,518-square-foot property for $2.5 million, or $391 per square foot. Greg Bedell and Victor Buendia of Progressive Real Estate represented the seller, a Nevada-based private investor, and the buyer in the deal.
FREMONT, CALIF. — Vestar has signed two new tenants at Pacific Commons, a 1.1 million-square-foot retail property located at 43484 Boscell Road in Fremont. i-Tea and uBreakiFix are slated to open stores in the first quarter. Located near Vitamin Shoppe, i-Tea will offer traditional teas, as well as fruit-based teas, creamas, slushies, smoothies and classic milk teas. uBreakiFix, which will be located near Applebee’s, offers repair services for a variety of technical devices.

FRESNO, CALIF. — Peak Campus has been awarded management of Campus Edge, a 416-bed, garden-style community located near Fresno State University in Fresno. The property offers one- and two-bedroom units with bed-to-bath parity. Community amenities include a newly renovated clubhouse with a fully equipped game room and fitness center; a business center; barbecue areas; and a resort-style swimming pool with a sun deck and hot tub.
COMPTON, CALIF. — Younger Optics has leased a 53,000-square-foot industrial facility in Compton. The five-year lease was valued at $2.3 million. The facility is located at 1900 Artesia Blvd. The company will occupy the space later this month. Frank Schulz, Todd Taugner and David Prior of the Klabin Co. represented Prologis. Jeff Smart of Colliers International represented Younger Optics in this transaction.
MARINA DEL REY, CALIF. — Upload Inc. has leased 20,000 square feet of creative office space in Marina Del Rey. The property, situated within the Marina Business Center, is located at 4505 Glencoe Ave. Upload’s expansion into the greater Los Angeles area marks the company’s first workspace in the Southern California market. The virtual reality company opened its first location, the Upload SF Collective, in the Mission area of San Francisco. CBRE’s Garrett Ellis, Carter Haslam, Jeff Pion and Shay Bolton represented Upload. NGKF’s Christopher Strickfaden represented the landlord, Marina Business Center LLC, in this transaction.
SAN DIEGO — Murphy Development Co. (MDC) has reacquired a 542,197-square-foot campus at the San Diego Business Park for $28 million. The property, which will be rebranded as The Campus at San Diego Business Park, is located at 2001 and 2055 Sanyo Ave. Panasonic will lease about 70 percent of the 329,000-square-foot building after MDC completes 42,000 square feet of new office improvements, at a value of about $15 million. The remaining 94,000 square feet of Class A industrial space and 209,700 square feet of office space will be marketed for lease. MDC originally built the campus in 1986 for Sanyo, which Panasonic acquired in 2010. Brent Bohlken and Bryan Teel of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Panasonic. MDC represented itself in the transaction.
