DALLAS — Conor Commercial Real Estate has broken ground on Skyline Commerce Center, a 198,000-square-foot industrial project located about seven miles from downtown Dallas. The property will feature frontage along Interstate 30 and will consist of a 135,000-square-foot building and a 62,000-square-foot building. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter. Stream Realty Partners is handling leasing of the project. Conor Commercial is the development and investment arm of The McShane Cos., headquarters in suburban Chicago.

DENTON, TEXAS — McCarthy Building Cos. has completed the renovation and expansion of the Student Union at Hubbard Hall at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Denton. The project featured renovations of 100,754 square feet of meeting, event and dining space, as well as 23,920 square feet of structural additions to the building. Landscaping, irrigation and site utilities systems were also upgraded. McCarthy began the project in March 2018. The company previously completed construction of TWU’s Oakland Complex, a parking garage and an adjoining office building that houses campus police headquarters, human resources administrative spaces, a testing center, retail food service vendor and outdoor patio space. Texas Woman’s University is a public co-educational institution with about 13,000 students at its Denton campus.
PLANO, TEXAS — Locally based design-build firm ARCO/Murray has delivered a 31,000-square-foot project at West Plano Village for Spaces, a Dutch provider of coworking facilities. The space includes more than 80 individual offices, common rooms, executive suites, phone booths and a café with an attached patio. The facility had just opened prior to shelter-in-place orders taking effect as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Regus, a multinational provider of serviced offices, coworking spaces and virtual offices, acquired Spaces in 2015.
NEW YORK CITY — Andrew Franz Architect will design the renovation of the 11,000-square-foot Washington Houses Community Center in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. The community center offers a range of education, wellness, and community-building resources to local youths and seniors. The Andrew Franz team will transform key spaces of the facility including the entrance, reception and waiting areas and senior center. The team will also enhance the natural lighting and acoustics of the entire facility. The Criminal Justice Investment Initiative of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office will fund the renovations.
International Management Co. to Develop Publix-Anchored Center in Jacksonville’s Northside District

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — International Management Co. LLC will develop Northpoint Village Shopping Center, a planned 88,000-square-foot shopping center in Jacksonville’s Northside submarket. A 48,387-square-foot Publix will anchor the property, which will be built in phases. Phase I will comprise the Publix and 16,600 square feet of inline space adjacent to the grocer, as well as five outparcels. Completion of Phase I is slated for summer 2022. Depending on demand, Phase II may be developed in conjunction with Phase I or at a future date with entitlements to develop up to 64,000 square feet of retail, medical and/or office uses. At completion, Northpoint Village will consist of approximately 142,000 square feet spanning 27 acres. The property is situated at the intersection of New Berlin and Yellow Bluff roads, 15 miles north of downtown Jacksonville.
GBT Realty Receives $141.1M in Construction Financing for One22One Broadway Office Tower in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TENN. — GBT Realty Corp. has received $141.1 million in construction financing for its One22One Broadway project in Nashville. Mack Realty provided the loan for the planned 24-story, 356,000-square-foot office tower. Construction began in February, and GBT expects the development to open in 2022. Additionally, Dallas-based Koch Real Estate Investments has joined GBT as a limited partner. The property is situated on 0.77 acres at 1221 Broadway. Gresham Smith designed the building, and Taylor Hillenmeyer, Janelle Gallagher, Frank Thomasson and Byran Fort of CBRE are marketing the office space.
ST. FRANCIS, WIS. — M&R Development has broken ground on 4200 On The Lake, a 236-unit luxury apartment community in St. Francis, a southern suburb of Milwaukee. M&R is co-developing the project with Campbell Capital Group LLC. Completion is slated for spring 2021. Located at 4200 S. Lake Drive, the development will feature a two-story clubhouse, 24-hour coffee bar, fitness center, yoga room, business center and self-service package room. A large courtyard will include a swimming pool with views of Lake Michigan. CIBC is providing project financing. Madison-based Stevens Construction is the general contractor. RMK Management will handle leasing and property management.
Partnership Prepares to Open 96-Unit Senderos at South Mountain Apartment Community in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A partnership between Leon Endres and Nick Conzemius, along with Ron Cuttler as project manager, is developing Senderos at South Mountain, a multifamily property located at 9700 S. Central Ave. in Phoenix at the base of South Mountain. Slated to open in May, the 156,888-square-foot community will feature 10 buildings offering a total of 96 units in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts with decks/patios for each unit. Apartments will feature personal electric car-charging stations in each attached garage; smart technology including thermostats, keyless door locks and light switches; and gourmet kitchens. Community amenities will include a swimming pool, spa, fire pit, fitness center/yoga studio, package lockers, clubhouse with Wi-Fi access, barbecue grills, pet wash stations, backyard pet runs and ample green space. MEB Management Services will manage the property.
HUMBLE, TEXAS — C.I.A. Services Inc., which provides community management services to property owners and homeowner associations, has acquired land in the northern Houston suburb of Humble to build a 15,000-square-foot office property. CIA Services will occupy the property as its third location in the Houston area. Dan Boyles and Liz Westcott-Brown of NAI Partners represented CIA Services in the land acquisition. Tom Condon Jr. of Colliers International represented the seller.
GARFIELD, N.J. — StorageBlue has opened a 650-unit self-storage facility in Garfield, a northwestern suburb of New York City. Located at 170 River Drive, the gross 60,000-square-foot facility is a redevelopment of a former macaroni factory. Piermont Bank financed the $6 million repositioning project. The company now operates five self-storage facilities, all of which are located in New Jersey and New York.
