CHICAGO — The Howard Hughes Corp. and Riverside Investment & Development have opened 110 North Wacker Drive, a 55-story office tower situated along the Chicago River. The 1.5 million-square-foot project is the tallest office building completed in the city in the last three decades, according to the developers. Bank of America is the anchor tenant. Other opening-day tenants include real estate investment advisor Heitman, global investment bank Lincoln International and law firms Jones Day and Morgan Lewis. Construction began in summer of 2018. Although no development cost was disclosed, Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase provided a $495 million construction loan at that time. The Class A tower features a 45-foot-wide riverwalk on its ground level. The covered area, which connects two downtown pedestrian paths and a small park, offers 22,000 square feet of public space. The project features technology designed to maximize overall health and wellness. This includes best-in-class HVAC systems, advanced dispatch elevators and a customized app that provides touchless building access, transportation information, event listings and the ability to book fitness and spa activity. ODESSA, FLA. — The Altman Cos. has opened Altis Grand at the Preserve, a 350-unit multifamily community in Odessa. The property offers one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Communal amenities include a business center, clubhouse, fitness center, pool, spa, playground, laundry facilities and a sundeck. Rents range from $1,245 per month to $2,248 per month. The asset is situated at 2130 Leather Fern Drive, 24 miles north of downtown Tampa. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Altman Cos. manages the property.

BETHESDA, MD. — Brightview Senior Living, an owner and operator of senior living communities, has opened Brightview Grosvenor, an assisted living and memory care community in Bethesda, approximately 10 miles north of downtown Washington, D.C. The community is situated on shares the land of Wild Acres, the former home of National Geographic president, editor and photojournalist Gilbert Grosvenor. Brightview Grosvenor features 58 assisted living, 26 memory care and 12 “enhanced care” apartments on three acres. Enhanced care apartments are designed for residents with conditions that require special attention, such as Parkinson’s disease or ALS.

DENVER — Hines, along with investment partner Cresset-Diversified QOZ Fund, has started construction of Residences at RiNo, a for-rent residential community at the entryway to Denver’s River North Arts District. Situated within North Wynkoop’s 1.25 million-square-foot mixed-use development, the 11-story project will feature 397 residences in a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 542 square feet to 1,715 square feet. Additionally, the property will feature a limited number of affordable units and live/work units. Each residence will include modern kitchens with quartz countertops, designer-like backsplashes and stainless steel appliances; in-unit washers/dryers; electric door locks; matte black fixtures; and wood-style flooring. WEST ALLIS, WIS. — McShane Construction Co. has completed building The West Living, a 177-unit luxury apartment project in West Allis, a western suburb of Milwaukee. McShane constructed the community on behalf of developer, Mandel Group. The first level of the four-story complex is a parking structure. Units consist of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a club area, fitness center, dog park and rooftop patio. Zimmerman Architectural Studios served as architect. Units are currently available for move-ins. Monthly rents start at $909 for studios.

WAUWATOSA, WIS. — Software company Dematic has opened a 37,330-square-foot office at The Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa, a suburb of Milwaukee. PREMIER Design + Build Group built out the 27,200 square feet on the first floor and added another 10,130 square feet by constructing a mezzanine level. The space can accommodate up to 200 employees and features seven conference rooms. TOA Architecture/Urban Design provided architectural and interior design services. Dematic is a logistics technology services firm that specializes in supply chain optimization. HSA Commercial is the owner and developer for The Mayfair Collection, a mixed-use project comprising residential, retail and office space.

CUMMING, GA. — Retail Planning Corp. has opened a Publix grocery store within Matt Town Center in Cumming on Friday, Oct. 9. The 48,387-square-foot store is located at the intersection of Matt Highway and Bannister Road, 48 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Other tenants at the center include Reveille Café, Laredo’s Cantina & Taqueria, Peaches & Pine, Great Clips, Alpha Nail Salon and The UPS Store. Hill Foley Rossi & Associates LLC was the architect, and RW Smith Co. was the general contractor.

STAFFORD, TEXAS — Crow Holdings Industrial has acquired 34.3 acres in the southwestern Houston suburb of Stafford for the development of a 568,084-square-foot industrial project. The three-building development will be located at 13223 Murphy Road at the site of the former Weatherford family farm. Crow Holdings expects to deliver the property in fall 2021. Barkley Peschel and Jason Scholtz of Colliers International represented the undisclosed seller of the land and will handle leasing of the property along with Walter Menuet of Colliers. Cory Driskill and Travis Covington represented Crow Holdings on an internal basis.

HILLSBORO, ORE. — Denver-based Stack Infrastructure has broken ground on POR03, its newest data center campus in Hillsboro. Located at 4735 NE Starr Blvd., the 28-acre campus will feature a 180,000-square-foot facility offering 24 megawatts (MW), slated for delivery in third-quarter 2021. The new data center is located less than a quarter mile from a new 34.5 kilovolt (kV) substation, with power supplied by Portland General Electric. It is located on the Wave Business Hillsboro Data Center Ring, which offers high-count fiber connectivity and transpacific subsea cable access. The planned four-building campus will offer a total capacity of 84 MW at complete build out. Stack currently operates to other data center facilities in the Hillsboro region with a total of 28.8 MW that includes 3 MW of immediately available capacity, along with a neighboring build-to-suit campus with 12 MW of potential capacity. At full build out, Stack’s capacity in Hillsboro will total more than 125 MW.

CLEVELAND — The NRP Group has broken ground on 5115 at The Rising, a 78-unit apartment community in Cleveland’s Broadway-Slavic Village. The project is being developed in collaboration with University Settlement, a social services provider that has been serving area residents for more than 90 years. In addition to the 78 apartment units, the development will include 10 townhomes. Project financing comes from The Ohio Housing Finance Agency, KeyBank, Ohio Capital Corp. for Housing, Third Federal Foundation and the City of Cleveland. University Settlement plans to relocate its corporate offices to a 20,000-square-foot commercial space on the ground floor of the building. Completion is slated for early 2022.
