PITTSON, PA. — A partnership between Endurance Real Estate Group LLC and Blue Vista Capital has sold the 1 million-square-foot Interstate Distribution Center in Pittston, located south of Scranton, for $96 million. The partnership purchased the 225-acre former Techneglas manufacturing site in 2012 and redeveloped the property into a modern bulk warehouse/distribution asset. The new cross-dock building features 40-foot clear heights, 193 dock doors, 421 car parking spaces and 129 truck parking spaces. Gerry Blinebury and Dan Walsh of Cushman & Wakefield represented the partnership in the sale. Jason Webb and Kris Bjorson of JLL represented the undisclosed buyer.

BOSTON — Mill Creek Residential has begun leasing Modera Framingham and Modera Marshfield, two apartment communities totaling 518 units in the Boston area. Modera Framingham offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes and amenities such as a central courtyard, 24-hour fitness studio, media room, clubhouse with coffee bar, a pet park and pet spa, cyber café and a game room. Modera Marshfield offers the same unit mix and a similar suite of amenities. Mill Creek has six communities in the Boston area including these two properties. According to Apartments.com, rents start at $1,995 per month for a studio apartment at Modera Framingham and $2,225 per month for a one-bedroom at Modera Marshfield.
CARLE PLACE, N.Y. — Simone Development Cos. has unveiled plans for the repositioning of a 60,000-square-foot industrial property in Carle Place, located on Long Island. Simone Development acquired the vacant light industrial/warehouse property this summer from Ansaco Properties LLC. The building was constructed in 1962 and served as the longtime home of Johnson & Hoffman, a metal stamping operation. Simone will renovate the property to suit a single tenant, adding additional loading docks and developing 2.7 acres of additional paved parking area to accommodate tractor trailer, delivery truck and additional vehicular parking.
LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Edgewood Senior Solutions Group has acquired land in Londonderry’s Woodmont Commons to build a senior living community called The Baldwin. Project plans call for 190 independent living apartments. Several of the community’s amenities, including a spa and salon, a convenience store and multiple dining venues, will be open to the public. Edgewood plans to market The Baldwin as a continuing care retirement community by offering a medical clinic for acute needs, as well as priority access to personal care and home healthcare services, small-home model assisted living and memory support residences, short-term rehabilitation and more.
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Frampton Construction Co. has completed work on The Blake at Hollingsworth Park, a 101-unit seniors housing community in Greenville. Cardinal Ventures is the developer of the community. The property features 68 assisted living and 33 memory care suites. The 86,000-square-foot assisted living and memory care facility is in the Hollingsworth Park area of Verdae, a master-planned community. Young, Wier + Boerner Architecture completed the design for the building, and Hoyt + Berenyi was civil engineer for the project. This is Frampton’s fifth Blake-branded assisted living project.
FRISCO, TEXAS — JPI has received construction financing for Jefferson at The Grove, a 424-unit apartment community in Frisco. Jefferson at The Grove is part of a larger residential and commercial master plan in Frisco that will consist of more than 17 acres of open space, five planned parks and more than four miles of trails. Units will feature 10-foot ceilings, glass-enclosed showers and large bathtubs, walk-in closets, private yards and balconies, granite countertops, hardwood-style flooring, designer cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and full-sized washers and dryers in all units. Amenities will include a pool with cabanas, fitness center with a spin studio, private courtyards and a dog park. The opening is scheduled for spring 2022.
MINNEAPOLIS — The Opus Group has completed construction of Vesi, a 218-unit apartment building in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. The six-story property features a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and penthouse units. Amenities include a rooftop terrace, pool and spa, fitness room, library, dog wash and golf simulator. Opus served as developer, design-builder, architect and engineer. ESG Architects was the design architect and interior designer. Vesi is the fifth residential project for Opus in downtown Minneapolis since 2014. Monthly rents start at $1,610. Residents can now receive $500 off their first month of rent.
PAPILLION, NEB. — Amazon.com Inc. has unveiled plans to open its first fulfillment center in the state of Nebraska in Papillion. Development is scheduled to begin next year on the 700,000-square-foot project, which is expected to create 1,000 full-time jobs. Employees will work alongside Amazon robotics to pick, pack and ship small items such as books, electronics and toys. When fully operational, the facility will add nearly $204 million to the local economy annually, according to David Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber. Since 2019, Amazon has invested more than $96 million in Nebraska.
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Oakmont Senior Living has opened an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in the East Sacramento neighborhood of the state capital. Located in the Fabulous Forties area, Oakmont of East Sacramento totals 140,000 square feet, plus a 36,000-square-foot parking garage, on a 3.5-acre plot. The community features 100 independent living/assisted living units and 42 memory care units. Terry Ervin is the executive director and Deanna Barker is director of memory care.
SPARROWS POINT, MD. — McCormick & Co. Inc. will open a 1.8 million-square-foot distribution center in Sparrows Point. The facility will be the largest in the food manufacturer and distributor’s portfolio. The Baltimore-based company plans to consolidate several jobs and distribution warehouses to the new location upon completion, which is slated for the second half of 2022. The new facility will be situated within Trade Point Atlantic Industrial Park, 12 miles south of the Port of Baltimore. Other tenants within the industrial park include Under Armour, Amazon and Perdue Foods. McCormick will host a groundbreaking ceremony at the site Thursday, Nov. 12. The developer and design team were not disclosed.
