WILLMAR, MINN. — Kraus-Anderson has begun construction of a 52,000-square-foot dealership for Ziegler CAT’s agriculture and construction equipment in Willmar. The company is expanding its equipment sales, rental and repair services in the central Minnesota area. Ziegler CAT is one of Caterpillar’s largest dealers in North America. Ziegler sells and services CAT construction, paving, forestry, mining equipment, trucks, generators and industrial engines. The new project will replace the company’s current 5,360-square-foot facility in Willmar. The two-story development will feature a retail showroom, a 25,000-square-foot shop, warehouse and offices, and a 7,800-square-foot cold storage building. Designed by CNH Architects, the property also includes two bridge cranes, lube systems and a wash bay. Completion is slated for winter 2020.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. — Dermody Properties has broken ground on LogistiCenter at Speedway, a distribution facility located at 6565 Nascar St. in North Las Vegas. Situated on 14 acres, the 251,800-square-foot building will feature 32-foot clear heights, 52 dock doors, eight grade-level doors and 182 car parking spaces. The building is currently available for pre-leasing and is divisible to 24,300 square feet. Garrett Toft and Sean Zaher of CBRE Las Vegas is representing the property. United Construction Co. is serving as general contractor.
MUHLENBERG TOWNSHIP, PA. — An affiliate of Radnor-based Endurance Real Estate Group and Philadelphia-based Brasler Properties has acquired Berks61, an 18.4-acre industrial land site in Pennsylvania located just outside of Reading. Shortly after acquiring the property, the new ownership secured a build-to-suit agreement with CarbonLITE Holdings LLC, a producer of plastic resins, for the construction of a 270,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility. The tilt-wall, rail-served building will feature 36-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and three drive-in doors. Mark Chubb of Colliers International represented CarbonLITE in the deal. John Van Buskirk, Joel Kreider and Ed Skonecki of Lee & Associates represented the landlord. The partnership also has another project, this one speculative, under development in Berks County that will deliver two buildings totaling approximately 328,000 square feet.
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is underway on a $1.5 million renovation of its senior living community in Overland Park known as The Atriums. This month, Tutera expects to complete Phase I of the project, which includes renovation of the first-floor common living areas. Tutera will also begin Phase II, an expected $1 million remodel of the property’s 203 units. Amenities within the 50,000-square-foot common living area include a dining area, pub, billiards room, reading corner and community lounges. The property features 168 independent living units and 35 assisted living units. The residences will be updated with new lighting, flooring, paint and other upscale finishes. Phase II is slated for completion in the next 12 to 18 months.
FRISCO, TEXAS — Keurig Dr. Pepper will host a groundbreaking ceremony today for its new headquarters campus at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ 91-acre hub in Frisco. The company is relocating from its current office in Plano, where approximately 1,100 employees work. The new space will measure roughly 350,000 square feet and is expected to be available for occupancy in 2021, according to local media reports.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Jenkins Organization, a Houston-based developer and manager of self-storage properties, has broken ground on Bergstrom Storage, a 1,090-unit facility located at 530 S. Highway 182 near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in southeast Austin. The 238,000-square-foot facility will offer climate- and non-climate-controlled storage space, as well as boat and RV storage, gated security entry, electronic security monitoring throughout and an onsite manager. The opening is slated for March 2020.
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Propst Development, Chartwell Hospitality LLC and Hilton Worldwide have signed Conrad Nashville, a luxury Hilton branded hotel, to anchor Broadwest, a $540 million mixed-use project in Nashville. Set to open in 2021, the hotel will occupy 14 stories of a 34-story building and comprise 237 rooms. The remaining stories will include 196 condominiums. Propst and Chartwell will co-own Conrad Nashville, and Chartwell will handle management services. Cooper Carry designed the tower. A 21-story, 510,000-square-foot office building will stand next to Conrad Nashville, and the two buildings will be connected by 125,000 square feet of retail space, as well as a 1.5-acre plaza. Hoar Construction will serve as the project’s general contractor, and Champalimaud Design is the interior designer.
BIRMINGHAM, ALA. — A joint venture between Novare Group, Prestwick Cos. and Batson-Cook Development Co. (BCDC) has broken ground on Foundry Yards, a 268-unit multifamily project in Birmingham’s Parkside District. Foundry Yards will offer studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans across two buildings. Community amenities will include an outdoor kitchen, grilling areas, bocce ball court, dog park, swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, club room and coworking space. The two buildings will be separated by a landscaped green space. Birmingham-based Doster Construction Co. is the general contractor. ELV Associates Inc., BBVA Compass and Cadence Bank provided construction financing. A timeline for completion was not released.
Walmart Unveils Expansion Plans for 350-Acre Corporate Campus in Bentonville, Arkansas

BENTONVILLE, ARK. — Walmart has unveiled its plans to build a 350-acre office campus in Bentonville that will serve as the company’s home office. Demolition of the retailer’s existing buildings will begin this summer with delivery expected in phases from 2020 to 2024. Reuters reports the campus will house nearly 17,000 employees at full build-out. The campus will include office buildings, expanded food offerings, convenient parking, fitness options, a child care facility, bike paths, green space and lake views. The campus will also feature solar panels atop parking decks and energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, as well as regionally sourced building materials. A price for construction was not disclosed.
ARLINGTON, TEXAS — New York City-based developer Park7 Group has broken ground on Park Place Arlington, a student housing project that will feature 701 beds for students attending the University of Texas at Arlington. The property, located one block from campus in downtown Arlington, will also house 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Park Place Arlington’s 298 units will offer designer wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and washers and dryers. All units also come equipped with a 50-inch flatscreen TV. Amenities will include an oversized pool, half-court basketball court, volleyball court, spa, movie theater, golf simulator, study courtyards, a two-story fitness center and a resident-only clubroom. Humphreys & Partners Architects designed the project, which is slated for completion in summer 2020.
