PEORIA, ARIZ. — Irgens has broken ground on Cielo Vista Medical Commons, a two-phased medical office building development at 26425 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria. The project will deliver up to 80,000 square feet of rentable space across two buildings on 6.6 acres. Sheila Bale and Erika Eckblad of Cushman & Wakefield are marketing the property for lease. Phase I will include the Lake Building, a single-story, 30,178-square-foot, multi-tenant medical office building with adjacent parking and site infrastructure. Completion is slated for June 2026. Phase II will feature the Summit Building, a two-story, 50,000-square-foot multi-tenant office building equipped with a gurney-sized elevator and additional parking. Delivered in shell condition, both buildings will feature brick masonry facades, flexible floor plates and state-of-the-art HVAC systems.

DURHAM, N.C. — Arizona-based Alliance Residential Co. has acquired approximately 14 acres of land in Durham for Broadstone RTP, a 270-unit project about four miles north of Research Triangle Park. The site is located at 2610 S. Miami Blvd. The project’s Raleigh-based team includes McAdams Co. (civil engineering), Cline Design (architecture) and MAD Studio Interiors (interior design). Broadstone RTP will include one three-story residential building, three four-story residential buildings and a freestanding clubhouse. Units will feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood-style flooring, walk-in closets and full-sized washers and dryers. Amenities include a clubhouse with a leasing center, private offices for residents, a 24-hour fitness center and a mailroom equipped with secure package lockers. Residents will also have access to a resort-style pool, an outdoor kitchen and grilling area and a dog park. Completion is slated for late 2026.
REDWOOD FALLS, MINN. — Kraus-Anderson has completed the new $46.6 million Redwood Valley Elementary School at 201 McPhail Drive in southern Minnesota’s Redwood Falls. Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the 85,639-square-foot, two-story project features classrooms, early childhood education, special education, a media center, flex spaces, a gym, cafeteria, storm shelter and secured entries. There are three outdoor play spaces as well as a bus loop, parent drop-off area, parking lots and sidewalks. Construction began in May 2024.
SEDALIA, MO. — Nabholz Construction Corp. has broken ground on a new fire station, training facility and bowling alley in central Missouri’s Sedalia. Hoefer Welker designed the facilities. The 8,585-square-foot fire station will replace the previous facility. it will feature a three-bay fire apparatus facility with six bunk rooms, a dayroom and a fitness room. The station will be built with a hot zone design approach, decreasing firefighters’ exposure to smoke, carcinogens and toxic chemicals, according to Hoefer Welker. There will also be a dedicated gear decontamination area and advanced air pressurization and thermal comfort systems. Adjacent to the new fire station, the 2,749-square-foot fire training facility will house two fire apparatus bays and include a workshop and restrooms within the pre-engineered metal building. A separately designed burn tower will serve as a comprehensive classroom. The project will also include an 18,775-squarefoot, 16-lane bowling alley with a commercial kitchen and e-sports center. The bowling alley is being funded through a combination of city funds and a donation from Sue Heckert, a notable donor to several city projects, including the Heckert Community Center. Additional project partners include BHC Engineering, Landworks Studio, Bob D. Campbell & Co. and IMEG.
Astral, Steady Capital to Develop 483,106 SF Mixed-Use Multifamily Property in Columbia, South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Astral Development and Steady Capital have announced plans to develop a 483,106-square-foot mixed-use multifamily property at the intersection of Bull Street and Elmwood Avenue in Columbia. Upon completion, the project will feature 288 apartments and more than 22,000 square feet of retail space. Plans include six end-cap retail spaces, patio seating, pedestrian walkways and garage and street parking. Ahead of construction, Astral will collaborate with local groups to activate portions of eight adjacent properties to bring community engagement to the space. Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2028. Axoim Architects and Elford Construction will oversee the design and pre-construction efforts, and Crosland Barnes Group and Cushman & Wakefield are handling leasing for the ground-level retail space. The multifamily component of the project will comprise 236 one-bedroom units, 33 two-bedroom units and 19 three-bedroom units. The ground level will include a fitness center, lobby, leasing office and a dedicated space for bike parking.
OCALA, FLA. — Catalyst Development Partners has completed The Darley, a 288-unit luxury apartment community located within the Heath Brook master-planned development in Ocala, roughly 35 miles southeast of Gainesville. Spanning seven buildings, The Darley offers one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging in size from 701 square feet to 1,347 square feet. Amenities at the complex include a freestanding clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center and coworking spaces. Residents also have access to additional outdoor amenities including a resort-style swimming pool, grill stations, pub-style dining areas, semi-private cabanas with garden daybeds, an entertainment pavilion, pickleball court, dog wash station and dog park. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available throughout the community. The property was more than 50 percent preleased upon completion of the development.
PLANO, TEXAS — Kintetsu Group Holdings Co. has begun construction on a 217-room hotel in Plano, located northeast of Dallas, that will be operated under the Japanese conglomerate’s Miyako Hotels & Resorts brand. Designed by Gensler with interiors by Looney & Associates, the Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano will be a 12-story building that will house a traditional Japanese restaurant, lobby bar, Japanese bakery, banquet and meeting space and a rooftop bar and outdoor pool. The Beck Group is the general contractor for the project, which is expected to be complete in fall 2027.
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS — General contractor Manhattan Construction Co. has broken ground on a 211,000-square-foot academic project on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station. The Aplin Center, named after Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, the founder of truck stop and convenience store chain Buc-ees, will house immersive learning labs for students enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Mays Business School. DLR Group and Pickard-Chilton co-designed The Aplin Center, which is expected to open in 2028.
NEW YORK CITY — A partnership between two nonprofit organizations, The Community Builders and Ascendant Neighborhood Development, along with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), will undertake a $272.6 million affordable housing renovation project in East Harlem. The project will rehabilitate 523 apartments that are housed across four buildings within two complexes — Metro North Plaza and Gaylord White Houses — and which are home to about 800 residents. The project will preserve the affordability of the units and will also enhance shared indoor spaces, common outdoor areas and building infrastructural systems. Specifically, façades will be repaired; roofs will be repaired or replaced; new windows will be installed; and elevators will be overhauled. Financing for the project stems from the NYCHA Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program. Wavecrest Management will handle day-to-day property management at the developments. Merchants Capital has provided $100 million in financing for the project.
WYOMISSING, PA. — A partnership between Atlanta-based SJC Ventures and Washington, D.C.-based Concordia Group will develop Broadcast District at Spring Township, a mixed-use project in Wyomissing, a suburb of Reading. The development will feature 441 residential townhomes and single-family homes by Lennar and 341 apartments by SJC, as well as a 120,000-square-foot retail center that will be anchored by a 35,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market. Other retailers that have committed to the project include MyEyeDr., Sephora, Nothing Bundt Cakes, European Wax Center, Shake Shack, First Watch and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. Construction is scheduled to begin early next year.
