ATLANTA — Sentral has completed Sentral West Midtown at Star Metals in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood. Located at 1050 Howell Mill Road, Sentral West Midtown at Star Metals is a 409-unit community that offers a flexible living model in which residents and guests can live at the property for any period of time from one month to several years. Paces Properties and Allen Morris Co. are co-developers of Star Metals. The property offers studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans that come either unfurnished or furnished. Community amenities include a curated year-round events calendar, rooftop pool and grilling area, fitness center, dog spa, networking café and various indoor and outdoor coworking spaces. Sentral West Midtown at Star Metals features food and beverage offerings including Prevail Coffee; Savi Provisions, a specialty grocer; Wagamama, a UK- based pan-Asian restaurant chain; and Sweetgreen, the fast-casual salad chain. SLIDELL, LA. — Indianapolis, Ind.-based Kittle Property Group Inc. has opened The Lofts at Canterbury, a Phase III workforce housing development in Slidell. The property features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 685 square feet to 1,110 square feet. The 135-unit community has a total of 39 one-bedroom, 64 two bedroom and 32 three-bedroom apartment homes. The units feature faux-wood flooring, a washer and dryer in each home, balconies and ceiling fans. Garages are also available for rent to residents. Community amenities include a fitness center, game room, community room, business center and pool. The Lofts at Canterbury is a pet-friendly community. Located at 301 Spartan Drive, Lofts at Canterbury is located about 31.5 miles from New Orleans.

CHICAGO — Summit Design + Build has completed construction of 1111 W. Addison in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood. The four-story, 59,000-square-foot project features retail space on the ground floor and a fitness and bouldering center on the second through fourth floors. The 41,895-square-foot climbing gym is home to Movement Wrigleyville, a climbing, yoga and fitness center. Hirsch/MPG Architecture + Planning was the project architect and Clausen Management Services was the owner’s representative.

Cubes-Mesa-Gateway-Mesa-AZ

MESA, ARIZ. — CRG has purchased a 268-acre site between E. Pecos and E. Germann roads in Mesa for the development of The Cubes at Mesa Gateway, an up-to 4 million-square-foot speculative and build-to-suit industrial project. The project will offer multiple building and size configurations ranging from 250,000 square feet to 1.2 million square feet, with build-to-suit opportunities and options to buy improved lots. Steve Larsen, Pat Harlan and Jason Moore of JLL will handle leasing for the project.

Anthology-of-Austin

AUSTIN, TEXAS — General contractor Cadence McShane has broken ground on Anthology of Austin, a 130-unit seniors housing community that will be located on the city’s north side. Designed by OZ Architecture, the five-story, 128,000-square-foot facility will offer assisted living and memory care services. Units will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom formats, and amenities will include a fitness center, salon, clubhouse, theater and a bar/bistro. Completion is scheduled for spring 2023.

Authentix Cartersville

CARTERSVILLE, GA. — McShane Construction Co. has broken ground on Authentix Cartersville, a 240-unit multifamily development located in the northwest Atlanta suburb of Cartersville. McShane is building the property on behalf of the developer, Continental Properties. Authentix Cartersville is McShane’s 23rd project for Continental. Completion is slated for February 2023. Designed by Excel Engineering, Authentix Carterville will feature two-story, garden-style buildings with townhome-style studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units and private, ground-floor entrances. Each unit will include modern kitchen appliances, washer/dryers and natural light. Community amenities will include a clubhouse with a coffee bar, 24-hour fitness center, swimming pool, outdoor barbeque area and a dog park with a pet spa. Situated on a 25-acre site at 5000 Canton Highway, Authentix Cartersville will be located adjacent to Georgia Highlands Cartersville Campus, about 25.5 miles from Lake Allatoona and 45.4 miles from downtown Atlanta.

NEW YORK CITY — National investment and development firm Lightstone has topped out Moxy Lower East Side, a 303-room hotel located at the junction of Manhattan’s Little Italy, SoHo and Chinatown neighborhoods. The design team includes master architect Stonehill Taylor, interior design firms Michaelis Boyd and David Rockwell, who designed the restaurant and underground lounge. Other amenities will include a coworking lounge, fitness center and three meeting rooms. Completion is slated for late 2022.

EAST ORANGE, N.J. — J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc. has broken ground on The Station at East Orange, a 172-unit mixed-income residential community in Northern New Jersey. Thirty percent of the property’s one-, two- and three-bedroom units will be designated as affordable housing, with an area median income range starting at 30 percent to the upper limit of HUD requirements. Amenities will include a fitness center, business center, open terrace courtyards, an art gallery and 3,477 square feet of retail space. Completion is slated for 2022.

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO — Gabriel Brothers Inc. (Gabe’s) has unveiled plans to open an 850,000-square-foot distribution center in Springfield, about 45 miles west of Columbus. Located at 1801 Prime Parkway within the PrimeOhioII Industrial Park, the $77.5 million project will be the company’s largest distribution center. Construction at the 114-acre site is set to begin in mid-October. The facility is expected to open in February 2023. The project will create more than 800 full-time and part-time jobs over five years. Positions will include material handlers, packers, sorters, equipment operation, truck drivers, counters, maintenance, administration, supervisors and managers. JLL coordinated site selection, business consulting and project management services on behalf of Gabe’s, which is a discount retailer that offers apparel, footwear and home goods. NorthPoint Development will serve as developer.

ST. LOUIS — Remiger Design has opened a new 6,100-square-foot office at 2921 Olive St. in downtown St. Louis. The historic storefront was originally built in 1894. It took a year to outfit the office with the right furniture, lighting and technology and to build out the three-level space. A fourth level now houses the design firm’s extensive files. The office features a conference room, resource library and private room. The third floor houses employee workstations that are carefully spaced to allow for social distancing. Remiger’s team of 12 is able to work from home or in the office.
