ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL. — Prime Data Centers has unveiled plans to build a 750,000-square-foot data center campus in the Chicago suburb of Elk Grove Village. The three-facility project will be one of the largest data center campuses in the O’Hare market, according to the company. Prime Data Centers plans to invest up to $1 billion for the project. A timeline for completion was not provided.

ETNA, OHIO — CRG and its capital partner Lexington Realty Trust have broken ground on Building E at The Cubes at Etna 70 in Etna, about 20 miles east of Columbus. The more than 1 million-square-foot speculative distribution facility will be located at 9800 Schuster Way. Completion is slated for spring 2022. The building will feature a clear height of 40 feet and 108 dock positions. Contegra Construction is the general contractor and Lamar Johnson Collaborative, a subsidiary of CRG’s parent company, Clayco, is the architect. Jeff Lyons of CBRE will market the project for lease. This is the second development at The Cubes at Etna 70, which encompasses 289 acres of former farmland that CRG and Lexington purchased in 2018. CRG completed development of a 1.2 million-square-foot build-to-suit for Kohl’s in 2020. Four sites remain available for development. All told, the site can accommodate up to 2 million square feet of additional construction.

Lenox-Bayside-Houston

HOUSTON — Multifamily developer OHT Partners has broken ground on Lenox Bayside, a 315-unit apartment community in the Clear Lake area of southeast Houston. The community will be situated adjacent to Baybrook East, a retail center at which a 106,000-square-foot H-E-B grocery store is currently under construction. Designed by Davies Collaborative, Lenox Bayside will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units and amenities such as a pool, 24-hour collaborative work studio, outdoor grilling areas and a dog park. The opening of the community is scheduled for early 2023. The H-E-B store is scheduled to open before the end of the year.

The-Tradition-Clearfork-Fort-Worth

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Developer and operator Tradition Senior Living has begun construction on a 309-unit facility within the 270-acre Clearfork mixed-use development in Fort Worth. The Tradition-Clearfork will offer independent living, memory care and assisted living services. The property’s 214 independent living residences and 95 acute and memory care units will be available in one- and two-bedroom formats and will range in size from 880 to 2,200 square feet. Residents will have access to 24-hour concierge and valet services, secure parking and transportation options. Common areas will include lounges, card rooms, a movie theater, fitness center, pool and other spaces for daily social activities and wellness programs. Completion is slated for summer 2023.

SALT LAKE CITY — BCC Construction has unveiled plans for Altitude, a multifamily property located near the Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City. The seven-story, 117,565-square-foot community will feature 156 apartments, a rooftop deck, fitness center and two levels of parking. Construction is slated to begin in spring 2022, with completion scheduled for summer 2023.

ATLANTA — Puttshack, a mini golf and entertainment provider, has signed a second lease in Atlanta at High Street, a $2 billion, 36-acre mixed-use property in Perimeter Center Parkway on the northside of Atlanta. National real estate developer, owner and operator GID Development Group is developing High Street and inked the lease with Puttshack. Puttshack is the first anchor tenant to be announced for High Street. The mini golf retailer will have more than 26,000 square feet of space and will feature four custom-made, tech-driven mini golf courses. The property will also feature ‘Trackaball’ technology, which includes automated scoring, bonus points opportunities and interactive games at each hole. The entertainment venue will also have a dining menu and full cocktail bar. The first phase of the project will break ground this year and is slated to open by 2023. The project will include 150,000 square feet of entertainment-driven retail and restaurants, approximately 600 rental apartments, 90,000 square feet of loft offices and 222,000 square feet of existing office space. RICHARDSON, TEXAS — Developer KDC will build three new office buildings totaling approximately 1.4 million square feet at CityLine, a 204-acre mixed-use development located in the northeastern Dallas suburb of Richardson. Five CityLine will be an 18-story tower with 513,000 square feet, while Six CityLine will rise 13 stories and span 356,000 square feet. The third tower, Seven CityLine, will be a 15-story, 507,000-square-foot building. Dallas-based Corgan & Associates is designing the buildings, which will bring the total office component at CityLine to approximately 2.6 million square feet. The development also houses 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. In addition, more than 3,000 urban residential units, 148 hotel rooms and 20 acres of dedicated public green space are located within walking distance of CityLine. The new buildings are currently being marketed for lease, and construction will begin when a tenant(s) has been secured.

MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL. — Kinzie Builders has completed construction of 10 North Main in downtown Mount Prospect, a suburb of Chicago. The $20 million luxury apartment complex rises five stories with 97 units, which range in size from 564 to 1,290 square feet. Amenities include a fitness center, coffee bar, club lounge and outdoor rooftop deck. Kinzie worked alongside owner First Equity Group LLC, developer Harlem Irving Cos. and architect OKW Architects. Other project team members included ECL Engineer Consultants, Pierce Engineering, LETech Inc., V3 Cos. and Kathryn Talty Landscape Architecture.

MANSFIELD, TEXAS — A local developer doing business as Industrial Reserve LLC has acquired 14 acres in the southern Fort Worth suburb of Mansfield for a 104,440-square-foot industrial project. Mansfield Commerce Park will be a six-building development with single-story structures with ample outside storage space. Josh Meraz and Michael Spain of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Partners represented the seller, Trinity Forge Inc., which operates a machine and die shop at the site, in the sale of the land. Brant Landry of Landry Commercial represented the buyer/developer.

NEW YORK CITY — Charlotte, N.C.-based Grubb Properties will develop 8 Carlisle, a 50-story apartment building that will be located in Manhattan’s Financial District. Grubb Properties acquired the site from New York-based Pink Stone Capital Group, which purchased it in 2011 and helped assemble the air rights and construction permits as Grubb’s development service partner. In addition to 22,000 square feet of retail space, the property will feature 400 units that will be operated under Grubb’s Link brand, which provides housing geared to renters earning between 60 and 140 percent of area median income (AMI). A construction timeline has not yet been finalized.
