BELTON, MO. — Salina Hotel Corp. will develop an 83-room Fairfield Inn & Suites in Belton, about 20 miles south of Kansas City. The 48,000-square-foot hotel, located between Mullen Road and I-49, is slated for completion by the end of 2018. The project includes construction of a new road, which will be funded by a newly established Community Improvement District (CID). Project partners include the City of Belton and Belton Economic Development Corp.

MCLEAN, VA. — Noble Investment Group has purchased Staybridge Suites Tysons-McLean, a 142-room hotel in downtown McLean, part of the greater Tysons Corner market of Washington, D.C. The seller and sales price were not disclosed. The extended-stay hotel features suites equipped with a full kitchen and flexible work space. In addition, Staybridge Suites features a 24-hour business and fitness center, complimentary breakfast buffet, pool, fire pit and a patio with barbeque grills.

LINCOLNSHIRE, ILL. — Graycor Construction Co. has completed the first two phases of renovations at the Chicago Marriott Lincolnshire Resort in Lincolnshire, a northern suburb of Chicago. Graycor renovated all 390 guest rooms and suites with new windows, HVAC, carpet, ceramic tile, shower door and bathroom fixtures, wall covering and fresh paint. Phase II also included the construction of the Lakeside Pavilion, a 5,000-square-foot, climate-controlled space for weddings and other events. Graycor has also completed nearly 75 percent of the final phase of renovations, which includes rebuilding of King’s Wharf into two new restaurants — Three Embers and Wright’s Brew & Bistro; renovating the lobby Brewpub; adding a Starbucks on the premises; and a new M-Club and Spa. Steven Crowley of Graycor led the project team. The Gettys Group and Stantec provided design services, while Daccord LLC provided project coordination services. LA RFMBG Lincolnshire LLC owns the property and The Bricton Group manages the hotel.

SCRANTON, PA. — Millett Real Estate, as owner and manager, has opened Home2 Suites by Hilton Dickson City Scranton, located at 914 Scranton-Carbondale Highway in Scranton. Featuring 70 guest suites, the hotel also offers complimentary internet access, communal spaces, a complimentary breakfast, Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items, and Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area. The pet-friendly hotel also features an indoor pool and whirlpool.

NORFOLK, VA. — Atlanta-based architect Cooper Carry has designed Hilton Norfolk at The Main, a $175 million hotel in downtown Norfolk. Located at 100 E. Main St., the 23-story hotel anchors the corner of Granby and Main streets and overlooks the Elizabeth River. The Main features three local, chef-driven restaurants; a rooftop beer garden and lounge; 300 guest rooms; 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space; and amenities including an indoor pool, game room and fitness center. Cooper Carry’s design incorporates the historic façade of the Decker Building, which previously occupied the site, and features a 100-foot glass atrium with escalators crossing five stories. Gold Key | PHR owns The Main, which opened its doors in April.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Pyramid Management, as owner, has opened Embassy Suites by Hilton Syracuse Destiny USA, located at 311 Hiawatha Blvd. W in Syracuse. Situated at Destiny USA, a shopping, dining and entertainment destination, the hotel features 209 suites, 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, an indoor heated pool, fitness center, full-service restaurant and 24-hour convenience shop. Aimbridge Hospitality manages the hotel.

YUKON, OKLA. — Hooter’s, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and Arby’s will join The Market at Czech Hall, a 160,000-square-foot retail center situated along Interstate 40 in Yukon, about 17 miles west of Oklahoma City. The restaurants will occupy three different pad sites totaling about 2.2 acres. Along with the restaurants, a Sleep Inn hotel will also open on the property, which is owned by GBT Realty Corp., at various times in 2018.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Chatham Lodging Trust has acquired Hilton Garden Inn Portsmouth Downtown for $43.5 million, or $332,000 per room. Located at 100 High St. in Portsmouth, the 131-room hotel opened in 2006 and recently underwent a full renovation. Island Hospitality Management will manage the hotel. The name of the seller was not released.

KISSIMMEE, FLA. — Axilla Capital LLC has arranged a $15.5 million loan for The Royale Parc Suites Hotel, a 224-room hotel located in Kissimmee, roughly 20 miles south of Orlando. Joel Mazur and Tom Fleming of Axilla Capital represented the undisclosed borrower in the transaction. Proceeds of the loan were used to finance the property’s acquisition and fund the hotel’s impending upgrades. Constructed in 1988, Royale Parc Suites Hotel is currently operating as a Choice Hotels-branded Quality Suites, but will be undergoing a renovation over the next 18 months. Located at 5876 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, the hotel is roughly three miles southeast of Walt Disney World.

CHICAGO — Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has arranged a $74.8 million loan for the repositioning of the Hard Rock Hotel located at 230 N. Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Property owner Becker Ventures and manager Aparium Hotel Group plan to reposition the property as the St. Jane Chicago hotel following the closing of the Hard Rock Hotel on Dec.1. The newly branded property is scheduled to reopen in spring 2018. The new name is a nod to social worker Jane Addams, who co-founded Chicago’s Hull House in 1889. The settlement house opened to European immigrants and provided social and educational programs. Built in 1929 and designed by the Burnham Brothers, the historic Carbide & Carbon building features 37 stories. Renovations will consist of updated interiors with the addition of a rooftop bar and lounge, full-service restaurant, market café, cocktail bar and 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space. In addition to 363 guest rooms, St. Jane Chicago will feature luxury suites on floors 25 and above known as The Tower at St. Jane.
