CARROLLTON, TEXAS — NAI Robert Lynn has secured a 43,839-square-foot industrial lease at 2045 Westgate Drive in the Dallas metro of Carrollton on behalf of Snap Drape Brands LLC, a provider of linens and draperies. Built in 1999, the building offers about 134,000 square feet of net rentable space. Cole Horowitz and Mark Miller of NAI Robert Lynn represented the tenant in the lease negotiations.

BELOIT, WIS. — Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears & Associates has arranged the sale of three industrial buildings and one office building totaling 247,214 square feet in Beloit, located in southern Wisconsin. The sales price was not disclosed. Toy and game company PlayMonster LLC occupies all the buildings. Bill Mears of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer, Badger Property Investments.

GARDEN CITY, KAN. — McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. has completed DFA Garden City, a 214,000-square-foot dairy ingredients plant in Garden City, which is located in southwest Kansas. The plant, which has brought 66 new jobs to the area, produces whole and skim milk powder, nonfat dry milk powder and cream, and receives milk from regional farms. DFA Garden City is a partnership between Dairy Farmers of America and 12 of its member farms in southwest Kansas. The facility will help support the industry’s continued growth in the region, as well as meet rising demand for U.S. dairy, both domestically and globally, according to McCarthy.

ELGIN, ILL. — Darwin Realty has brokered the sale of a 100,000-square-foot industrial building in Elgin, located about 35 miles northwest of Chicago. The sales price was not disclosed. St. Charles Trading purchased the property, located at 1400 Madeline Lane within Randall Point Business Park. The global supplier of food ingredients will use the facility to consolidate and expand multiple warehousing and production operations in the western suburbs. Brendan Sheahan and Noel Liston of Darwin represented St. Charles Trading in the transaction. Mike Sedjo and Jack Brennan of CBRE represented the seller, Pancor Construction & Development.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Denholtz Associates, in partnership with Militello Capital, has acquired two industrial/flex portfolios in Orlando for a combined $17.2 million. The Silver Star Portfolio, an eight-building, 254,915-square-foot industrial flex portfolio, was acquired for $12.1 million, and the Parkway Commerce Center, a two-building, 91,500-square-foot industrial flex property, was acquired for $5.1 million. Denholtz and Militello purchased Parkway Commerce Center from Brennan Investment Group. The Silver Star Portfolio, located at 3600-3802 Silver Star Road in Orlando, was 95 percent leased at the time of sale to 30 tenants. Parkway Commerce Center, located at 3501 Parkbreeze Court, was 68 percent leased at the time of sale to 23 tenants. Both properties are less than 12 miles from Orlando International Airport.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA. — The Silverman Group has unveiled plans to break ground on the second building at Bright Star Logistics Center, a master-planned industrial campus in Douglasville, roughly 22 miles west of Atlanta. The New Jersey-based company will break ground on the 330,000-square-foot, speculative manufacturing/distribution building in the fourth quarter. Building Two will feature 36-foot clear heights, cross-dock configuration and ample car parking and trailer storage. Completion is slated for summer 2018. Bright Star Logistics Center is expected to attract industrial users including manufacturing, warehouse/distribution and third-party logistics companies. Upon completion, the park will features two modern distribution buildings, one of which is currently under construction and is preleased to Andersen Windows, a window and door manufacturer. Pat Murphy, James Phillpott and Tara Healy of Cushman & Wakefield will handle the project’s leasing assignment on behalf of The Silverman Group.

CHICAGO — PREMIER Design + Build Group LLC has completed the construction of a 40,750-square-foot speculative distribution facility in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood. PREMIER built the property, located at 4150 N. Knox Ave., on behalf of Dayton Street Partners and WBS Equities. Situated on a 1.6-acre lot, the warehouse features 30-foot clear heights, two parking lots, four covered dock positions, two drive-in doors and two entrances. The adaptable warehouse space can accommodate multiple tenants. Chris Kiziak and Scott Lebak led the project team on behalf of PREMIER. Kimley-Horn provided engineering services, while Cornerstone Architects Ltd. provided architectural services. Mike Senner and Steve Kohn of Colliers are marketing the building for lease.

LOS ANGELES — Lineage Logistics has purchased eight temperature-controlled warehouses in the Los Angeles area for an undisclosed sum. The eight locations encompass more than 12 million cubic feet of capacity in the Los Angeles area. The properties are accessible to Southern California’s major freeways, rail facilities and ocean container terminals, including the 250,000-square-foot transload facility Lineage operates in the Port of Long Beach’s overweight corridor. The seller was U.S. Growers Cold Storage.

TYNGSBOROUGH, MASS. — Senate Construction Co. has been awarded the design/build contract to construct a mixed-use facility in Tyngsborough for Crane Realty Trust. The 50,000-square-foot building will feature office and manufacturing space. Mass Crane & Hoist Inc. will use the facility as its new headquarters.
