ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Oakmont Industrial Group, along with The Carlyle Group, has closed on a 39-acre land purchase in Atlanta’s I-20 West submarket for a speculative industrial property. Oakmont has begun developing Skyline/20 West, a 604,932-square-foot property that will feature 36-foot clear heights, cross-dock loading, concrete truck courts, 171 trailer parks and 287 auto parks. Bilijack Bell of Wilson, Hull & Neal Real Estate assisted Oakmont in the land acquisition. Oakmont and The Carlyle Group have selected Bell and Joseph Rogers, also with Atlanta-based Wilson, Hull & Neal Real Estate, to lease Skyline/20 West. The design team includes architect Randall-Paulson Architects and general contractor The Conlan Co. Regions Bank is providing construction financing for the project, which is slated for a summer 2015 delivery.

PHOENIX – A 25,456-square-foot industrial building in Phoenix has sold to William T White III Revocable Trust for $3 million. The building is located at 3880 E. Broadway Road. It is fully leased to Border Construction Specialties LLC. The buyer was represented by Nate Bubeck and Tom Gilmer of Lee & Associates. The seller, EERST Properties, was represented by Stein Koss and Tom Louer of the same firm.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS – Lee & Associates has completed a lease renewal for a 72,450-square-foot industrial space located at 1213 WN Carrier Pkwy. in Grand Prairie, just west of Dallas. Mark Graybill and Scott Giordano with Lee & Associates represented the landlord, Indcor Properties. Jackson & Cooksey represented the tenant, Schilli Distribution Services.

ATLANTA — Chick-fil-A has signed a long-term lease to fully occupy a 111,252-square-foot industrial facility at Airport West Distribution Center near Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Lincoln Property Co. Southeast is developing the asset and expects to deliver it in January. Denton Shamburger of Lincoln Property represented the landlord, Morgan Stanley, in the lease and was the only broker involved in the transaction. Upon completion, Chick-fil-A will occupy nearly 85 percent of Airport West Distribution Center, which currently features 287,703 square feet, of which Chick-fil-A occupies 221,449 square feet.

KILLINGLY, CONN. — Cassidy Turley has arranged a 147,878-square-foot industrial lease in Killingly. C&M Technologies, a manufacturer of wire and cable cords, has leased space located at 349 Lake Road. The company is relocating to this site from 51 S. Walnut St. in Wauregan, Conn. The property includes 12 loading docks and two drive-in doors, as well as 40 acres of excess land available for additional build-to-suit space. The property also features 15,600-square-feet of air-conditioned office space. Kevin Hanna and Sean Teague of Cassidy Turley represented C&M Technologies in the transaction. MILWAUKEE — The Dickman Company Inc./CORFAC International has brokered the sale of a 70,000-square-foot industrial building in Milwaukee for an undisclosed price. The property is located at 6000-6066 N. 76th St. Samuel M. Dickman Jr. and Samuel D. Dickman of the Dickman Company Inc. represented the buyer, 76th Street Industrial LLC. Travis Tiede and Adam Matson of NAI MLG Commercial represented the seller, STI Florist LLC.

NOVI, MICH. — L. Mason Capitani CORFAC International has arranged the lease of a 3,813-square-foot industrial building in Novi. Sumika Polymers North America, a subsidiary of the Sumitomo Chemical Group, has signed a five-year lease for the property located at 45525 Grand River Ave. Sumika Polymers North America is a chemical corporation servicing the automotive industry. The company is consolidating two of its divisions into one regional headquarter location. Gary Grochowski of L. Mason Capitani represented the tenant in the transaction.

CYPRESS, TEXAS – A San Antonio-based self-storage developer has purchased 3.29 acres on Spring Cypress Road in Cypress with plans to build a three-story, 110,000-square-foot self-storage facility late this year. Brian Cisarik, Robert Loeb and Jeff Bailey with SurePoint Self Storage worked to arrange the sale. The group already has five facilities in San Antonio. Houston-based developer Bobby Grover is partnering with Cisarik, Loeb and Bailey.

MEDLEY, FLA. — Gramercy Property Trust Inc., a publicly traded REIT, has purchased three auto salvage properties in Medley, part of the Miami MSA, for $17.3 million. The properties, totaling approximately 30 acres, are fully leased through July 2022 to a subsidiary of a large publicly traded global provider of replacement auto and truck parts.
