RENO, NEV. – The Lear Industrial Center in Reno has reached full capacity. The Burrows Corporation and Bizchair were two of the last tenants to nab space at this 390,000-square-foot facility. Lear Industrial is owned by Panattoni. Miller Industrial Properties serves as the property’s leasing agent.

LOS ANGELES — EVOQ Properties has disposed of three non-core assets in Downtown Los Angeles. The disposition includes a series of vacant lots and industrial buildings that are located at 915-949 S. Hill, in addition to industrial buildings located at 759 Ceres and 643 Gladys avenues. The sales’ gross proceeds totaled $19.5 million. Some of the proceeds were used to pay off about $15.3 million in secured principal debt and $1.7 million of contingent deferred interest.
CHICAGO — GLG International has acquired a 38,000-square-foot industrial building in Chicago, for $3.8 Million. GLG purchased the property, which is located at 2300 W. Lake St., to accommodate the company’s expansion. Built in 2000, the building features 12,000 square feet of cooler and 2,400 square feet of freezer space. Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson of locally based NelsonHill represented GLG. John Joyce, Ryan Phillips and Chris Ricketts of Newmark Knight Frank Epic represented the seller, J & S Produce, in this deal.

COPPELL, HASLET AND SCHERTZ, TEXAS — Amazon plans to open three new fulfillment centers in Coppell, Haslet and Schertz that will create more than 1,000 jobs. The 1.2 million-square-foot center in Schertz and the 1 million-square-foot center in Coppell will handle larger items, such as televisions and grills. The 1.1 million-square-foot site in Haslet will handle smaller items, such as books, electronics and DVDs. USAA Real Estate Co. is building the Schertz fulfillment center, and Hillwood Development Co. is building the Haslet fulfillment center as part of AllianceTexas, a 17,000-acre master-planned community. Hillwood is also building the Coppell center.
AURORA, ILL. — Liberty Property Trust and KapStone Paper & Packaging Corp. have signed a leased for 192,00 square feet of industrial space at Butterfield III, located at 2759 N. Eola Road in Aurora. The lease brings the 506,000-square-foot building to 100 percent occupancy. KapStone moved into the building in January after renovations to accommodate the tenant’s manufacturing needs were completed. The fit-out included the installation of additional dock and rail car doors, a design center and employee amenities. Colliers International represented both the tenant and the building owner, Liberty Property Trust, in the deal. Krusinski Construction Co. of Oak Brook, Ill. served as the general contractor. The project architect is Kwasek Architects.
HOUSTON — Levey Group, an industrial development company, has executed a 150,000-square-foot office/warehouse lease with Crane Worldwide Logistics at 6501 Navigation in Houston. The 21.6-acre industrial complex is located east of downtown Houston near the ship channel. Jim Foreman and Beau Kaleel of Cushman & Wakefield represented Levey Group in the transaction. JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Samsonite has signed a 240,000-square-foot lease for a distribution center at 10089 N. Main St. in Jacksonville’s Imeson International Industrial Park. Aaron Zarle, Bryan Bartlett and John Richardson of Grubb & Ellis/Phoenix Realty Group represented the landlord, Dalfen America Corp. The brokerage firm also represented W.P. Carey & Co. LLC in the sale of the property to Dalfen in September 2012.
MIAMI — The former Regal Kitchens property, which includes 8.6 acres of land and a 171,000-square-foot warehouse at 8600 N.W. South River Dr. in Miami, has sold to a Chile-based company for $7 million. The buyer, Megacenter, specializes in reconditioning similar buildings in Chile. The site is the company’s first purchase in the United States and it plans to renovate the existing building. Megacenter will divide the building into a warehouse and full-service office suites for lease, ranging in size from 4,000 to 20,000 square feet. Mort Fetterolf, Xavier Cossard and Michael Fay of Colliers International South Florida represented both parties in the transaction.
WEST DUNDEE, ILL. — The Opus Group has completed the sale of a new industrial warehouse building for Maxzone Vehicle Lighting Corp. in West Dundee. The 223,488-square-foot facility is located in the Oakview Corporate Park and includes 3,000 square feet of office space, 20 truck docks and two drive-in doors. Noel Liston of Darwin Realty and Development Corp. represented Opus in the transaction. Eric Chang of US Asia Group represented the buyer, Maxzone. Maxzone is scheduled to take occupancy in the building this April.
