ROMEOVILLE, ILL. — DCT Industrial Trust has acquired a 32.6-acre parcel in Romeoville. The company plans to start construction in May on DCT Boldt Park, a 604,000-square-foot, cross-dock facility. DCT Industrial is the project developer and Ryan Cos. will serve as general contractor. The project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2012.
CHINO, CALIF. — General Cable Corporation has signed a lease renewal for 165,000 square feet of industrial space at its regional distribution center in Chino. The space is located at 13965 Pipeline Ave. General Cable was represented by Tim O’Rourke, Mike Fowler and Kris Bjorson of Jones Lang LaSalle's Chicago office. The landlord, Majestic Realty Corporation, was represented in-house by Trent Wylde.
STERLING, VA. — Terreno Realty Corp. has purchased a 69,000-square-foot industrial property, located one mile from the Washington Dulles International Airport in Sterling, for $6.1 million. The property is fully leased to one tenant.
LANSING, MICH. — Stag Industrial Inc. has acquired a warehouse and distribution facility in Lansing for $6.6 million. The 129,325-square-foot building was constructed in 2002 and renovated in 2008. The facility is fully leased to Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, a subsidiary of Ryerson Inc. The company processes and distributes metals such as carbon steel and aluminum products. Joseph T. Ryerson & Son has 7 years remaining on its lease.
ROSENBERG — Grubb & Ellis has brokered the sale of the 145,591-square-foot 235 Benton, an industrial property consisting of eight buildings and 35 acres of land located in Rosenberg. Beth Young, Henry Hagendorf and Frank Onorato of Grubb & Ellis' Houston office represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer was a private investor.
HOUSTON — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the 36,000-square-foot Gardendale Warehouses, an industrial property located at 5707 Gardendale Drive in Houston. Andrew Jewett of Marcus & Millichap's Houston office represented the seller, a Texas partnership, in the transaction and secured the buyer, a private investor.
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WIS. —The Missner Group has completed a build-out for Catalyst Exhibits' 145,000-square-foot warehouse, office and production facility in Pleasant Prairie. The company recently relocated its headquarters from Crystal Lake, Ill. to southeast Wisconsin. The 22,000-square-foot project included the addition of corporate offices, design studios, conference rooms and a cafe space with a full-kitchen and espresso bar. DALLAS — Chicago-based Consolidated Distribution Corp. has opened a 50,000-square-foot distribution center, located in Dallas. The new distribution center will serve the Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, which manages the Yum! Brands Inc. and its restaurant systems, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, A&W and Long John Silver's.
BRISBANE, CALIF. — A 132,000-square-foot warehouse facility in Brisbane has sold to William Spencer for $16 million. William Spencer is considered both an owner/user and an investor in this transaction. The facility is located at 325 Valley Drive. The buyer was represented by Marshall Hydorn of Cassidy Turley.
