NEW YORK CITY — A joint venture between The Davis Cos., a Boston-based development and investment firm, and Highland Development Ventures has completed a 6,000-unit self-storage facility at 155 West 29th St. in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. Public Storage will operate the facility, which rises 18 stories and spans roughly 180,000 net rentable square feet. Project partners included Mancini Duffy (architect of record), Cauldwell Wingate Construction (general contractor), GEA Consulting Engineers (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineer) and McNamara Salvia (structural engineer).

PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS — LandPark Advisors, a Houston-based investment and management firm, has acquired Park Central Self Storage, a 312-unit facility in Port Arthur, located south of Beaumont along the Texas Gulf Coast. The facility sits on 3.8 acres and totals 48,430 net rentable square feet. LandPark, which acquired the asset in partnership with Sunset Capital, will operate the property under its Right Move Storage brand. The seller and sales price were not disclosed.

NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of TEPCO Storage, a 45-unit self-storage facility in New Braunfels, located on the northeastern outskirts of San Antonio. The site spans 1.4 acres. Jon Danklefs of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller in the transaction. Sean Delaney, also with Marcus & Millichap, represented the buyer. Both parties were limited liability companies that requested anonymity.

HOUSTON — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of AA Storage at Ruland Road, a 262-unit self-storage facility located about 10 miles west of downtown Houston. Built in 1971 and renovated multiple times in the ensuing decades, AA Storage at Ruland Road comprises five buildings on a 2.3-acre site. The unit mix consists of 112 climate-controlled spaces, 143 non-climate-controlled spaces and seven office spaces for a total of 49,539 net rentable square feet. Dave Knobler and Charles LeClaire of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller and procured the buyer, both of which requested anonymity, in the transaction.

HOUSTON — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Holliday Boat & RV Storage, a 292-unit facility that is situated on a two-parcel, 5.2-acre site in Houston. The property, which was constructed in phases between 1990 and 1994, consists of 243 non-climate-controlled units and 49 outdoor parking spaces for a total of 73,993 net rentable square feet. Dave Knobler of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction and procured the buyer, a Texas-based limited liability company. Both parties requested anonymity.

ZEELAND, MICH. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Access Mini Storage, a self-storage facility totaling 96,715 rentable square feet in Zeeland, a city in western Michigan. The property at 3440 88th Ave. features 496 non-climate-controlled units and 38 outdoor parking spaces. Sean Delaney of Marcus & Millichap represented the buyer and seller, both of which were limited liability companies.

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Sugar Land RV/Boat & Self Storage, a facility located on the southwestern outskirts of Houston. Built on six acres in 1999, the property consists of 304 non-climate-controlled units, one warehouse/workshop space, eight covered parking spots and six outdoor parking spaces for a total of 95,942 net rentable square feet. Dave Knobler of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction and procured the buyer, a New York-based limited liability company. FREEPORT, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Blue Water Self Storage, a 295-unit facility in Freeport, located about 60 miles south of Houston. The seven-building facility was built on 8.2 acres in 1999 and spans 56,600 net rentable square feet. Dave Knobler of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a locally based limited partnership, in the transaction. Knobler also procured the buyer, a New York-based limited liability company. Both parties requested anonymity.

SEATTLE — Colliers has facilitated the sale of Northlynn Mini-Storage, a self-storage property in the Lynnwood area of Seattle.  Located at 15620 Highway 99, the 57,700-square-foot facility contains ground-floor units with drive-up and interior units ranging from 5feet by 5 feet to 10 feet by 20 feet, as well as two dozen rentable parking spaces.  The buyer has planned a substantial renovation for the property, which is designed to enhance the appeal for the 134,000 people living within three miles of the facility. The property will be rebranded as SecureSpace Self Storage Lynnwood.  Colliers’ de Jong | Becher Self Storage Team consisting of Jacob Becher, Nate Fliflet, Dana Chobor and Tom de Jong represented the seller, Lanswell Development Corp. The buyer, GCP SecureSpace Properties LLC, engaged in negotiations with the team to secure the transaction.

BARTLETT, ILL. — Lee & Associates has brokered the sale of a 3.4-acre vacant lot near the southeast corner of West Bartlett Road and Route 25 in the Chicago suburb of Bartlett. The sales price was undisclosed. A new multi-story, self-storage facility is planned for the site. Rick Scardino of Lee & Associates represented the seller, Abbott Land. Dan Lynch of Colliers represented the buyer, Berman-Lapetina.
