LINE LEXINGTON, PA. — A partnership between Metro Storage LLC and Fremont Realty Capital (FRC) has opened a 785-unit self-storage facility in Line Lexington, located approximately 30 miles north of Philadelphia. The two-story facility, located at 4671 County Line Road, offers 79,383 rentable square feet of climate-controlled space and features interior loading bays, elevators, security and a retail office. The property is Metro’s 11th self-storage facility in Pennsylvania.

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of RI Self Storage, a 458-unit facility in Central Falls, a northern suburb of Providence. Located at 817 Dexter St., the facility comprises 316 climate-controlled units, 142 non-climate-controlled units and three office and warehouse spaces totaling 37,826 net rentable square feet. Nathan Coe, Brett Hatcher and Gabriel Coe of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, an undisclosed private investor. Nathan Coe and Hatcher also represented the buyer, a limited liability company.

COLLINSVILLE, ILL. — Marcus & Millichap has negotiated the sale of a Stowaway Self Storage facility in Collinsville, east of St. Louis. The sales price was undisclosed. Located at 1 Business Center Court, the property spans 44,038 square feet with 354 units. It features a variety of unit types ranging from five to 60 square feet in size. Britney Hendricks and Sean Delaney of Marcus & Millichap marketed the property on behalf of the seller, an individual trust. The team also procured the buyer, a private investor.

LA MARQUE AND DICKINSON, TEXAS — Bellomy & Co. has arranged the sale High Point Storage, a portfolio of two self-storage facilities totaling 1,117 units across 235,918 net rentable square feet in Southeast Texas. One of the properties is located in La Marque, and the other is located in Dickinson, both of which are cities located in between Houston and Galveston. Approximately 28 percent of the units are climate-controlled. Both facilities were roughly 90 percent occupied at the time of sale. Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson of Bellomy & Co. represented the Houston-based seller and procured the buyer, California-based REIT Public Storage.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Berkadia has arranged financing on behalf of Las Vegas-based Crystal View Capital for the acquisition of AAA Platte Self Storage, a self-storage facility in Colorado Springs. Located at 4510 Edison Ave., AAA Platte Self Storage is a 308,749-square-foot, 877-unit self-storage and industrial warehouse facility located near Peterson Air Force Base. Cutt Ableson and Johnny King of Berkadia’s Houston office secured the three-year, adjustable-rate loan, which MidCap Financial Services provided.

SILVERDALE, WASH. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Affordable Self Storage, a self-storage facility in Silverdale. A limited liability company sold the property to a Washington-based limited liability company for $4.3 million, or $143 per rentable square foot. Located on 7979 Provost Road NW on 1.3 acres, Affordable Self Storage features 30,325 square feet of self-storage space. Christopher Secreto of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller and secured the buyer in the deal.

DEARBORN, MICH. — SkyView Advisors has brokered the sale of a Metro Storage facility in Dearborn for an undisclosed price. The 96,148-square-foot self-storage facility sits on 3.2 acres at 6470 Wyoming Ave. Zack Urow and Ryan Clark of SkyView represented the seller. Buyer and seller information was not disclosed.

WARREN, MICH. — U-Haul is opening a facility at a former Kmart store at 2000 Ten Mile Road in Warren. Once renovations are complete at the 121,568-square-foot building, the property will house approximately 800 indoor self-storage units. U-Haul will also offer truck and trailer sharing, towing equipment and moving supplies at the 11.5-acre property. The company expects to employ at least 15 team members at the store, which is slated to open by the end of January.

THORNWOOD, N.Y. — SVN Commercial Realty has arranged the sale of two adjacent self-storage facilities totaling 773 units in Thornwood, located approximately 30 miles north of New York City. One of the properties, located at 401 Clairmont Ave., represents an adaptive reuse of a 55,000-square-foot warehouse. The other property is a pure-play self-storage facility operated by Safeguard Self Storage. The total price of the sale was $22.3 million. Hans Hardisty and Nick Malagisi of SVN Commercial represented the buyer, a California-based self-storage operator. The team also represented the seller, a local developer.

PRIOR LAKE, MINN. — SkyView Advisors has brokered the sale of a 70,914-square-foot Select Space Storage facility in Prior Lake within metro Minneapolis. The 3.5-acre property is located at 4370 Fountain Hills Drive. Richard Riddle and Ryan Clark of SkyView represented the seller. Self-storage REIT CubeSmart purchased the property.
