DEER PARK, N.Y. — Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of a 541-unit self-storage property in Deer Park. Located at 541 Acorn St. on Long Island. The 58,500-square-foot facility features 10 one- and two-story buildings that were completed between 2000 and 2003. The property was 83 percent occupied at the time of sale. Mike Mele, Luke Eliott, Robert Bloch and Noah Obuchowski of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, 4 Storage LLC, in the transaction. The buyer was an undisclosed private equity group. The sales price was undisclosed.
ORLANDO, FLA. — Cedarwood Development has completed a 787-unit, 117,000-square-foot self-storage facility for operator US Storage Centers in Orlando. The property features climate-controlled units, passenger elevators, moving carts, 24-hour video surveillance and moving supplies. The property is situated at 930 Sligh Blvd., a mile south of downtown Orlando. Orange, Calif.-based US Storage Centers, which operates more than 9 million square feet of self-storage space in the U.S., will manage the property. Fairlawn, Ohio-based Cedarwood Development is an affiliate of Cedarwood Cos.
HOUSTON — Self-storage investment brokerage firm Bellomy & Co. has negotiated the sale of Houston Mini Storage, a 240-unit facility located at 12841 S. Main St. on the city’s southwest side. The property features 31,490 net rentable square feet and was 84 percent occupied at the time of sale. Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson of Bellomy & Co. represented the locally based buyer in the transaction. Taucha Hogue of Newmark Knight Frank represented the seller.

FRESNO, CALIF. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of A-American Self Storage in Fresno. A limited liability company acquired the asset for an undisclosed price. Situated on 4.8 acres at 2455 N. Marks Ave., the facility features 717 non-climate-controlled units, totaling 77,053 net rentable square feet. Brett Hatcher, Gabriel Coe and Jacob Becher of Marcus & Milichap represented the seller and buyer in the deal. Jim Markel, also of Marcus & Millichap, assisted in the transaction and was broker of record for the deal.
Midcoast Properties Arranges Sale of 210-Unit Self-Storage Facility in Toccoa, Georgia

TOCCOA, GA. — Midcoast Properties Inc. has arranged the sale of AJ’s Self-Storage, a 210-unit property in Toccoa. The property features outdoor parking for cars and boats, lighting, fencing and 24-hour electronic gate access. The property is situated at 2700 Mize Road, 10 miles from the Georgia-South Carolina state border. Dale Eisenman and Michael Morrison of Midcoast Properties represented the undisclosed seller and procured the undisclosed buyer in the transaction.
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — Storage Mart has opened a new self-storage facility at 12020 Glenwood St. in Overland Park. The property includes 873 climate-controlled units and 69 non-climate-controlled units as well as covered loading areas and multiple freight elevators. As with all StorageMart facilities, customers have access to 24/7 customer service and an online tenant portal. StorageMart is based in Columbia, Mo.
NEW YORK CITY AND BOSTON — JLL has arranged the sale of three-property self-storage portfolio totaling 3,596 units. The facilities are located in the greater New York City and Boston areas. The assets were all constructed in 2018 or 2019 and are located at 5002 2nd Ave. in Brooklyn; 479 5th Ave. in New Rochelle; and 490 Eastern Ave. in metro Boston. Steve Mellon, Brian Somoza, Andrew Scandalios and Coleman Benedict of JLL represented the sellers, affiliates of Banner Real Estate Group. The team also procured the buyer, an affiliate of California-based REIT Public Storage.
SAN DIEGO — San Diego Rescue Mission has completed the sale of an industrial facility located at 5150 University Ave. in San Diego. University Storage acquired the asset for $7.7 million. The 2.2-acre lot features a 38,610-square-foot industrial building. The buyer plans to redevelop the property into a self-storage facility. George Hicker and Michael McFarland of Cardinal Industrial, along with Matt Weaver and Al Apuzzo of Lee & Associates – North County San Diego, represented the seller and buyer in the deal.
WEST MEMPHIS, ARK. — AKA Partners LLC has acquired Storage Depot, a climate-controlled self-storage facility in West Memphis, for $8.9 million. The Murray, Utah-based buyer plans to expand the property on the adjacent three acres. Storage Depot is situated at 701 Ark. Highway 77, nine miles west of downtown Memphis. AKA Partners has hired Argus Management to manage the property. Barclays provided acquisition financing. The seller was West Memphis-based DSB, a partnership between David Reagler, Scott Ferguson and LaRand Thomas. Larry Goldman of RE/Max represented the seller in the transaction.
