Five New Retailers Open at Easton Gateway in Columbus, Ohio

COLUMBUS, OHIO — Five new retailers, including two first-to-Ohio locations, have opened or are coming soon at Easton Gateway, a collection of retail and restaurants located next to Easton Town Center in Columbus. Now open include SuitShop, SITKA Gear and Sí Señor. SuitShop’s first Ohio location offers yours-to-keep suits and tuxedos starting under $200. SITKA Gear invented the technical hunting apparel category. The location is the first in Ohio. Sí Señor Peruvian Sandwiches is a locally owned sandwich shop. although historically a lunch spot, the Easton restaurant will also serve dinner. Coming soon is Carhartt, which manufactures clothing known for exceptional durability and comfort. The store will be the first in Columbus. Bareburger will also open soon and is known for crafting burgers with organic and sustainably sourced ingredients. Easton Gateway is an extension and expansion of Easton Town Center and acts as the northeast anchor, or gateway, into the broader Easton development. Easton Gateway, developed in 2014, totals 650,000 square feet.

46 Labs Opens 25,000 SF Office in Dallas’ West End Area

DALLAS — Local provider of global business communications management services 46 Labs has opened a 25,000-square-foot office in the historic West End area of Dallas. The company is relocating from 1701 Market St. to a former bread factory that was most recently occupied by Sam’s Club Innovation Center. The new office seats 50 employees and features three conference rooms, four private offices and multiple working spaces and private pods. Mike Kay led the Colliers team that represented 46 Labs in its site selection and lease negotiations.

Allied Plastic Supply Signs 24,000 SF Industrial Lease in Northwest Houston

HOUSTON — Allied Plastic Supply LLC has signed a 24,000-square-foot industrial lease in northwest Houston. According to showcase.com, the property at 5250 N. Sam Houston Parkway W was built in 2007 and features 24-foot clear heights. Garret Geaccone of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, Prologis, in the lease negotiations. Joe Berwick of JLL represented the tenant, which provides custom plastic fabrication services.

Biogen Unveils Plans for New Global Headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — Biogen Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB) has unveiled plans for its new global headquarters in Cambridge, located across the Charles River from Boston. The biotechnology company has selected Kendall Common, located at 75 Broadway, as the site of its new hub as part of a multi-year consolidation plan in Massachusetts that encompasses Biogen’s existing facilities in the Kendall Square area of Boston. Specifically, Biogen has signed a 15-year lease to occupy 580,000 square feet of office and life sciences space at Kendall Common, which is being developed by a joint venture between Blackstone subsidiary BioMed Realty and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Investment Management Co. The space will feature upgraded workspaces and modern amenities, along with sustainable design elements such as advanced water conservation measures and energy-efficient systems. In addition, the building will house the Biogen CoLab, a classroom-style community laboratory and collaborative space. Occupancy is slated for 2028.

Simon Welcomes 10 New Retailers, Restaurants to Burlington Mall in Metro Boston

BURLINGTON, MASS. — Simon Property Group has welcomed 10 new retailers and restaurants to Burlington Mall, a 1.3 million-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment destination located north of Boston. Kendra Scott, PacSun and Ten One Tea House will open in late spring, while Rowan, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Tobu, Sergeant Burgers and J7 Adventureland will open this summer. Asian restaurant concept ChoCho Hot Pot is also set to debut later in the year. Lastly, Verizon Wireless has relocated its business to a new space at the center and is currently open for business.

HOUSTON — Tytan International, a distributor of agricultural and industrial supplies, has signed a 31,945-square-foot industrial lease in northwest Houston. According to LoopNet Inc., the building at 14200 Hollister Road was constructed in 2012 and totals 88,170 square feet. Garret Geaccone of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, Prologis, in the lease negotiations. Devon Rogers of Hrothgar LLC represented the tenant.

Dollar Tree to Open 14,600 SF Store in Plano

PLANO, TEXAS — Dollar Tree will open a 14,600-square-foot store within a freestanding building at 5920 W. Park Blvd. in Plano. According to LoopNet Inc., to building was constructed in 2011 and was previously home to CVS. Kevin Butkus and Corbin Tanenbaum of Weitzman represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Dollar Tree was self-represented. The opening is slated for later this year.

Tag Wall Signs 26,336 SF Office Sublease in Midtown Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY — Creative design and branding agency Tag Wall has signed a 26,366-square-foot office sublease at 1745 Broadway in Midtown Manhattan. The space spans the entire eighth floor of the 26-story, 780,525-square-foot building. Richard Bernstein, Adam Ardise, Stephen Bellwood, Lei-Lani Keelan and Troy Elias of Cushman & Wakefield represented the sublandlord, Penguin Random House, in the sublease negotiations. Matt Astrachan, Ben Bass, Harrison Potter and Kate Roush of JLL represented Tag Wall. Atlanta-based Invesco Real Estate owns 1745 Broadway.

Tishman Speyer Inks 240,000 SF Office Lease Renewal with BP at CME Center in Chicago

CHICAGO — Tishman Speyer has inked a 240,000-square-foot office lease renewal with BP at CME Center in Chicago’s West Loop. Global energy leader BP will maintain the same footprint it currently occupies on the entire seventh through 10th floors of 10, 20 and 30 South Wacker Drive. A tenant at the property since 2009, BP’s lease renewal will keep its Chicago office at the campus through at least 2032. CME Center consists of two 40-story office towers, which are connected by a 10-story center structure. Completed in phases during the 1980s, the 2.3 million-square-foot property holds the distinction of being Chicago’s first all-concrete skyscraper. Working with Chicago-based architect Krueck Sexton Partners, Tishman Speyer recently completed a reimagining of CME Center’s lobby, façade and entrances, and expanded the amenity offerings. Tenants and their guests now have access to ZO Clubhouse, an amenity center with a lounge, library, bar area, huddle and wellness rooms, a boardroom and conference room. There is also a 19,500-square-foot fitness facility. Tenants at CME Center include Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Wells Fargo, Reed Smith and RSM. Ellen May represented Tishman Speyer on an internal basis. Matt Carolan, Andy Strand and Kevin Morgan of JLL represented BP.

The South Florida-based gaming and entertainment technology company is taking space on the ground floor of Victory Plaza, a three-story, 93,128-square-foot building. Brent Powdrill, Bethany Perez and Colton McCasland of JLL represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Zach Ellis of Colliers represented the tenant.
