WILMINGTON, N.C. — CBL Properties has signed female apparel retailers Free People and FP Movement to open new stores at Mayfaire Town Center, a 610,000-square-foot open-air shopping mall in Wilmington. The affiliated brands will open their stores on Main Street totaling 5,500 square feet this fall. Additionally, CBL is set to open a new Claire’s store this month and reopen Chick-fil-A later this summer. Vochos Urban Mexican Kitchen and Potbelly Sandwich Shop are also set to debut their restaurants at Mayfaire soon. CBL is also expanding Reeds Jewelers, which has been a tenant at Mayfaire since the mall opened 20 years ago. The retailer will operate a newly expanded store on Inspiration Drive spanning 9,000 square feet. Set to open in July, the flagship store will carry Rolex and David Yurman brands and feature a bar and lounge. CBL also agreed to relocate and expand lululemon, which has been a tenant since 2021, to a new 5,200-square-foot store on Main Street. Rack Room Shoes also recently relocated to a new 4,000-square-foot store.

HIGHLAND VILLAGE, TEXAS — Fitness concept Body20 and beauty treatments provider OrangeTwist have opened new studios/stores at The Shops at Highland Village, a retail center located about 15 miles north of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The spaces span 2,000 and 2,300 square feet, respectively. Restaurant Dragon House will also join the lineup later this year. JLL manages the property.
NEW YORK CITY — Law firm Herrick Feinstein LLP has signed a 76,849-square-foot office lease at Two Park Avenue, a 1 million-square-foot building in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. The space spans the entire 14th floor and part of the 15th floor of the building, which recently underwent a capital improvement program. Tara Stacom, Mitchell Arkin, Peter Trivelas and Mike Tranfalia of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. John Wheeler and Peter Riguardi of JLL represented the tenant.
WALTHAM, MASS. — Welch’s will relocate its corporate headquarters office from Concord, a northwestern suburb of Boston, to nearby Waltham. The fruit-based food and beverage provider’s new headquarters will span 60,000 square feet within Reservoir Place, a development by Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP), and will include lab facilities. The company plans to begin building out its new space this summer and to take occupancy next spring. Cushman & Wakefield represented Welch’s, which has operated out of Concord for the past 40 years, in its site selection and lease negotiations.
PRINCETON, N.J. — Biotechnology firm Amicus Therapeutics has opened a 27,200-square-foot office in Princeton. The space spans the fourth and fifth floors of the building at 47 Hulfish St., which is located about a block away from Princeton University’s campus. According to LoopNet Inc., the building was constructed in 1985 and totals 71,500 square feet. Ware Malcomb designed the space, and Sweetwater Construction Corp. served as the general contractor.
HOUSTON — Orion Group Holdings has signed a 63,519-square-foot office lease for its new headquarters space in Houston. The locally based marine and onshore specialty construction services provider is taking three full floors at East River, a 150-acre mixed-use development by Midway in the city’s Historic Fifth Ward. Collin Grimes and Bill Boyer of CBRE represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Amanda Nebel of Parkway, which launched a new company with Midway in May 2023, internally represented ownership.
TOMBALL, TEXAS — Black Bear Diner will open a 5,250-square-foot restaurant at the intersection of State Highway 249 and the Grand Parkway in the northwestern Houston suburb of Tomball. Andrew Alvis represented the landlord, NewQuest Properties, in the lease negotiations on an internal basis. Matt Parsons of JLL represented the tenant. A tentative opening date was not disclosed.
NEW YORK CITY — Room 11 Hospitality has signed a 23,000-square-foot retail lease in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg district. The space at 25 Kent, a 511,000-square-foot mixed-use building, will be an event and catering venue for Room 11 affiliate La Sirena Events. Sam Seiler and Joe Whitten Morris of JLL represented the landlord, Rubenstein Partners, in the lease negotiations. Seiler also represented the tenant in conjunction with Joseph Sipala of JLL. The venue is scheduled to open next spring.
DETROIT — Law firm Jacobs & Diemer PC has signed a 5,286-square-foot office lease at 211 W. Fort St. in Detroit. The law firm has more than 70 years of experience as an appellate specialist in the state of Michigan. Andrew Bower of Friedman Real Estate represented the tenant, which is relocating from 500 Griswold St.
LOUISVILLE, KY. — Seattle-based specialty outdoor retailer REI Co-op will open its first store in Kentucky this fall in Louisville. The new 31,100-square-foot store will be located at Paddock Shops, a 353,665-square-foot open-air shopping center owned by CBRE Investment Management and Fairbourne Properties. Situated in the city’s northeast corridor just off I-265 and I-71, the store will offer a wide assortment of outdoor gear and apparel and feature a full-service bike shop, buy online-pickup in store (BOPIS) options and curbside pickup service. The closest REI stores are in Cincinnati (95 miles away, opened 2012); Castleton, Ind. (130 miles away, opened 2012); Beavercreek, Ohio (150 miles away, opened 2024); Brentwood, Tenn. (196 miles, opened 1999); and Knoxville, Tenn. (243 miles away, opened 2014).
