PITTSBURGH — North Carolina-based grocer The Fresh Market will open a 32,131-square-foot store in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. The building at 5880 Centre Ave. was originally constructed in 2002 for Whole Foods Market, which vacated the space in 2022 for a larger store on nearby Penn Avenue. Herky Pollock of CBRE represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Brian Kerr of Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis represented the tenant. The store will be Fresh Market’s first in Pittsburgh.

LAHTROP, CALIF. — Macy’s has executed a long-term lease for a logistics and distribution facility located at 3400 W. Yosemite Ave. within Phelan Lathrop Gateway industrial park. Terms of the transaction were not released. Phelan Development owns the 272,000-square-foot facility, which is south of Sacramento and east of the Bay Area. Jay Hagglund and Tyson Vallenari of Cushman & Wakefield represented Macy’s in the lease transaction.
LEXINGTON, KY. — RD1 Spirts has signed on to join as an anchor tenant at The Commons, a 40-acre mixed-use development in downtown Lexington. The locally based bourbon brand plans to invest $4.8 million to develop the two-story distillery at 113 Turner Commons Way, which will span 10,215 square feet and include an entrance off Main Street. The venue will include outdoor seating on both levels, four private tasting rooms, a glass-enclosed research-and-development space for wood finishing for RD1’s bourbon barrels, VIP speakeasy tasting room, craft cocktail bar and a gift shop. The venue will also include an 800-gallon pot, 175-gallon pot still, 750-gallon fermenter and a 1,000-gallon mash cooker that will cumulatively produce a barrel of bourbon per week. RD1 plans to open the distillery in August and support 11 full-time employees. The project team features law firm McBrayer and engineering firm VITOK, both out of Louisville, as well as architectural and design firm Lord Aeck Sargent. Ron Hardwick, a Louisville bourbon expert and shareholder of RD1, plans to lead the distillery design at the new venue. ROYAL PALM BEACH, FLA. — CBRE has arranged a 42,143-square-foot industrial lease within Royal Palm Logistics Center, an industrial property located at 1131 N. State Road 7 in Royal Palm Beach, a city in South Florida’s Palm Beach County. The tenant, Bush Brothers Provision Co., is a family-owned meat packing and distribution company based in nearby West Palm Beach. Set to open its new space in August, the move represents the first relocation for Bush Brothers since 1925, according to CBRE. The tenant plans to create 25 new positions in addition to its existing 65-person workforce. Kirk Nelson, Robert Smith and Jeff Kelly of CBRE represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. The developer is McCraney Property Co. Royal Palm Logistics Center features 32-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and dock-high and grade-level loading.
FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Colliers has negotiated a 431,720-square-foot industrial lease extension in the Southern New Jersey community of Florence Township. The cross-dock, single-tenant building at 1500 John Galt Way is located within The Haines Center Industrial Park and features clear heights of 30 to 37 feet. Marc Isdaner and Alex Stringfellow of Colliers represented the tenant, paper products provider Sylvamo North America, in the lease negotiations. Regional developer Whitesell Construction Co. owns the property.
HATFIELD, MASS. — The Yankee Candle Co. has opened a 360,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in the Central Massachusetts city of Hatfield. The company will occupy the entirety of the building at 142 Elm St., which was constructed in 1968 and totals 359,938 square feet, according to LoopNet Inc. Joe Garvey of Cushman & Wakefield and Mitch Bolotin of Colebrook Realty Services represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Tyler McGrail, J.R. NEW YORK CITY — The Paul Taylor Dance Co. has signed a 31,000-square-foot office lease at 307 West 38th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The company will relocate and expand from a 13,000-square-foot space at 551 Grand St. to the entire ninth and 10th floors of the 21-story building in early 2025. Jeffrey Rosenblatt of Lincoln Property Co. represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Peter Duncan, Matthew Coudert and Alexander Bermingham represented the landlord, George Comfort & Sons, on an internal basis.
FRISCO, TEXAS — Chalo India will open a 10,000-square-foot Indian grocery store and café at The Shops at Panther Creek in Frisco. Thurston Witt of CBRE represented Chalo India in the lease negotiations. Tim McNutt of DBA Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord, Dallas-based GreenRoad Development Construction LLC. FREDERICK, MD. — X-Golf America will open a 13,414-square-foot entertainment venue in Frederick, marking the company’s largest location to date. Situated within the 200,000-square-foot Westview Promenade, the store is scheduled to open this month. In addition to eight indoor golf simulators, the venue will feature full-service sports bar and restaurant. Ashley Zito and Danielle Bridge represented the landlord, Hill Management Services, in the lease transaction on an internal basis. Franchisees and husband-and-wife team Jillian and Matthew Louden will own and operate the facility. X-Golf America’s portfolio currently includes more than 80 stores across 36 states.
STREAMWOOD, ILL. — Burlington has signed a 22,104-square-foot retail lease at 980 S. Barrington Road in Streamwood, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The retailer will occupy the space beginning later this year. The new lease brings the previously vacant building totaling 81,000 square feet to full occupancy. Value City Furniture previously occupied the entire property, which has now been split into three units. CBRE also arranged the other leases with Aldi (23,589 square feet) and Ollie’s (33,000 square feet). Joe Parrott and Sean McCourt of CBRE represented ownership, Diehl LLC. The building is located within Westview Center, a 350,000-square-foot power center.
