SHAKOPEE, MINN. — GN, a hearing, audio, video and gaming gear solutions company, has unveiled plans to relocate its North American hearing headquarters from Bloomington to Shakopee in 2025. The company will occupy the former Shutterfly Midwest production facility along Highway 169. GN finalized a 12-year lease and has begun planning for renovation and construction to turn the site into a 218,437-square-foot hearing aid manufacturing, repair and shipping facility. The property will also house sales, customer service and marketing support for the company’s lead hearing aid brand, ReSound, as well as professional support services for GN’s other hearing aid brands Jabra Enhance and Beltone. The company currently employs approximately 550 people in Minnesota, more than half in manufacturing jobs. GN, with global headquarters in Copenhagen, has occupied the Bloomington facility at 8001 Bloomington Freeway East since 2001. The new lease represents a 79 percent increase in space from the Bloomington location. Andrew Odney and Andrew Heieie of Colliers represented GN in the lease. HOUSTON — Partners Real Estate has negotiated a 32,596-square-foot industrial lease in northwest Houston. According to LoopNet Inc., the single-tenant building at 14490 Wagg Way Road was originally constructed in 2014. Travis Land and Braedon Emde of Partners represented the landlord, United Equities, in the lease negotiations. Caleb Lawson of Flatrock Cos. represented the tenant, 2911 Fabrication.

JOLIET, ILL. — Galleria Furniture has signed a 20,000-square-foot retail lease at Marycrest Shopping Center in Joliet. The 171,000-square-foot strip center, located on Jefferson Street, is home to Provena Health, Joliet Bank & Trust, Rent-A-Center, Golden Corral, Dollar Tree, Sidelines Sports Bar, Posh Salon Suites, Clair Beauty Mart, Popus Gourmet Popcorn and Basinger’s Pharmacy. The property is now 93 percent leased. Chris Irwin and Brad Belden of Colliers represented the owner, RMS. Eli Munoz of Wirtz Real Estate represented Galleria Furniture.

DALLAS — Public transportation operator Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has signed a 10-year, 4,146-square-foot office lease at Knoll Trail Crossing, a 96,509-square-foot building in North Dallas. The building underwent renovations in 2022 and now includes move-in ready spec suites, a modernized lobby, tenant lounge and an updated conference center. JLL represented the landlord, Prescott Group, in the lease negotiations.

HYANNIS, MASS. — Whole Foods Market will open a 42,560-square-foot store at 790 Iyannough Road in the Cape Cod community of Hyannis. The Austin-based grocer is relocating its Hyannis store from 990 Iyannough Road, which has served the community for the past decade. The store will feature full-service meat and seafood counters, a bakery, wellness and beauty section and a prepared foods counter. The grand opening is set for Thursday, Oct. 10.

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — The New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) has signed a 15,000-square-foot office lease in the Long Island community of Garden City. The federation of more than 1,200 labor unions is taking space at the 200,000-square-foot building at 100 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd., which was originally built in 1990 and was recently renovated. Jerry Guerra and Jeff Nemshin of The Paragon Group represented NYSUT in the lease negotiations. The landlord, The Feil Organization, was self-represented.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — CBRE has arranged a quintet of office leases totaling 22,823 square feet at Centre II, a 54,696-square-foot building located just south of downtown Austin. The deals include a combination of new leases and renewals, with the largest being an 11,049-square-foot renewal with Alabama-based computer hardware manufacturer Abaco Systems. Casey Ford of CBRE represented the landlord, Los Angeles-based Stanton Road Capital, in the lease negotiations.

LAFAYETTE, N.J. — The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges will open a 10,200-square-foot pickleball facility in the Northern New Jersey community of Lafayette. The six-court facility will be located within a freestanding industrial flex building at 11 Millpond Drive and is expected to open in November. John Schilp of NAI James E. Hanson represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. HQW Architects is designing the space, and Berardi Building Co. is handling the build-out.

CHICAGO — Medline has expanded its office lease from 51,000 to 161,000 square feet at THE MART in downtown Chicago. Vornado Realty Trust owns the 3.7 million-square-foot property. Medline’s contiguous space will take up the majority of the 12th floor, and the lease term is through 2036. Headquartered in Northfield, Ill., Medline is a medical-surgical product manufacturer, supply chain provider and clinical solutions partner. The company currently has more than 39,000 employees worldwide. Spanning two full city blocks, THE MART is home to companies such as Motorola Mobility, PayPal, Conagra Brands, Allstate and Grainger. The 25-story building also features more than 250 design showrooms. Vornado recently completed the final phase of a more than $70 million renovation, which incorporates a grand staircase leading to a second-floor amenity program and gathering space. There are a range of food-and-beverage options, a fitness and conference center, exclusive tenant lounge and landscaped River Park. J. ATLANTA — T-Mobile has renewed its approximately 100,000-square-foot lease at One Ravinia, a 17-story office tower in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter submarket. Boca Raton-based CP Group is the landlord of One Ravinia, as well as sister property Two Ravinia. T-Mobile has been a tenant at the tower since 2007. Eric Ross of CBRE represented CP Group in the lease negotiations, and Kirk Diamond, April Parrish, Erin Smith and Steven Taylor of Cushman & Wakefield represented T-Mobile. CP Group recently completed a series of capital improvements across One and Two Ravinia, including enhancing the lobbies, renovating and expanding the cafe and coffee bar, adding a modern tenant lounge with outdoor seating, upgraded the onsite conference center and introducing 85,000 square feet of worCPlaces, or speculative suites.
