ATLANTA — Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Rivian has selected Atlanta for its new East Coast headquarters. Rivian will occupy the top floor and lobby of Portman Holdings’ Junction Krog Street office building, which is located at 667 Auburn Ave. NE along the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail. The office, which will span approximately 45,000 square feet, is expected to open in late 2025 and will house roughly 500 employees upon full build-out. Portman delivered Junction Krog Street in fall 2023. Situated near the popular Krog Street Market food hall in the city’s Inman Park neighborhood, the mixed-use building features 135,000 square feet of creative office space, a rooftop deck, outdoor balconies on every level and ground-level retail space housing eateries Yuji, Brash Coffee and YEPPA&co. The headquarters will operate within a short drive to Rivian’s new $5 billion EV production facility situated within the 1,600-acre master-planned community of Stanton Springs North near Social Circle, Ga. Construction of the 7,500-person manufacturing plant is expected to begin in 2026. Rivian received financing from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program for the manufacturing facility, which will build the R2, a midsize SUV, and the R3, a midsize crossover. HOUSTON — Vasa Tech North America has signed a 34,997-square-foot industrial lease in northwest Houston. The provider of waterproofing, restoration and other related building services is taking space at the property at 8700 Clay Road, which according to LoopNet Inc. consists of four buildings totaling 286,985 square feet. Jack Rathe and Brandon Preece of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, Los Angeles-based Entrada Partners, in the lease negotiations. Jackie Chang of Forever Realty represented the tenant.

CARNEYS POINT, N.J. — Quince has signed a 105,000-square-foot industrial lease in the Southern New Jersey community of Carneys Point. The apparel and accessories retailer is taking space at LogistiCenter at Carneys Point, a two-building development by Nevada-based developer Dermody. WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICH. — Beem Light Sauna has signed a 2,025-square-foot lease to open at The Boardwalk shopping center in West Bloomfield Township, a northwest suburb of Detroit. Michael Murphy of Gerdom Realty & Investment represented the landlord, Beztak Properties. Jacob Farber of Morow Hill represented the tenant, which is a light therapy wellness studio. The lease marks the tenant’s second location in Michigan.

CoreWeave Lancaster AI Data Center

LANCASTER, PA. — CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV), a New Jersey-based data center owner-operator, plans to invest “more than $6 billion” in a new purpose-built artificial intelligence (AI) data center in Lancaster, about 80 miles west of Philadelphia. CoreWeave plans to lease the site, which will be co-developed by Chirisa Technology Parks and Machine Investment Group. Located at 216 Greenfield Road and 1375 Harrisburg Pike, the Lancaster facility will replace the former LSC Communications and R.R. Donnelley printing plants, which comprise a combined 1.5 million square feet of industrial space across 144 acres, according to Lancaster Online. The data center will have the capacity to consume 100 megawatts (MW) of power, with the potential to expand to 300 MW, representing one of the first large-scale data centers of its kind in the region, according to CoreWeave. RESTON, VA. — Whole Foods Market plans to open a new 46,711-square-foot grocery store at 1861 Fountain Drive in Reston on Wednesday, Aug. 6. The new store will be adjacent to Reston Town Center and is a relocation of an existing Whole Foods store at 11660 Plaza America Drive, which has served the Reston community since 1996. The new store is nearly double the square footage of the original store and will feature expanded café seating and a full-service coffee bar, among other departments. The new Whole Foods is backfilling a former Best Buy store that closed in 2020 within Spectrum at Reston Town Center, according to FFX Now. Lerner Enterprises owns and manages the 270,000-square-foot shopping center, whose tenants include Harris Teeter, The Container Store, Barnes & Noble and Cava.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Pottery Barn and West Elm will both open stores totaling 22,126 square feet at Westbend, a 281,000-square-foot mixed-use development located in southwest Fort Worth. Both home furnishings retailers are backfilling a former Market by Macy’s space and are targeting May 2026 openings. Trademark owns Westbend, the retail component of which is now fully leased.

BAYONNE, N.J. — TWTH Express has signed a 255,069-square-foot industrial lease in the Northern New Jersey community of Bayonne. The California-based freight and logistics company is taking space at Bayonne Distribution Center, a three-building, 613,129-square-foot industrial complex that includes 2.3 acres of industrial outdoor storage space. Chris Okada of Okada & Co. and Emanuel Westfried of Two Bins Capital represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Russell Verducci of NAI James E. Hanson represented the landlord, Turnbridge Equities, which acquired the property earlier this year and recently launched a $12 million repositioning program.
