COSTA MESA, CALIF. — A group of local Hyundai dealerships have leased a 3.1-acre industrial site in Costa Mesa. The facility includes a 12,588-square-foot truck and automotive maintenance facility and office building.  The group, which includes Hyundai of Huntington Beach, Hyundai of Anaheim and Hyundai of Garden Grove, entered into a five-year agreement for the space. They will use the property as a reconditioning, repair and storage facility for their fleet of new and used vehicles.  Jace Gan and Clyde Stauff of Colliers represented the space’s owner, BLT Enterprises.

SAN DIEGO — Jimbo’s Naturally has signed a 25,000-square-foot lease at The Row at Civita, Sudberry Properties’ 20-acre mixed-use development in San Diego.  The grocery store will be an anchor at the property, which is situated within the 230-acre, master-planned community of Civita.  Construction on the building is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with the opening planned for the second half of 2026. This will mark the fifth Jimbo’s store within San Diego County.

ELKTON, MD. — Electric bikes manufacturer and distributor Metalrays LLC has signed a 109,192-square-foot lease in Elkton. The space is located within 1003 Konica Drive, a single-story warehouse/industrial and office building spanning 263,000 square feet. Metalrays’ tenancy brings the building, which features 36-foot ceiling heights, 27 loading docks and two drive-in docks and 150 parking spaces, to roughly 40 percent occupancy. Ned Brady and Eric Skogmo of Lee & Associates|Maryland represented Metalrays in the lease negotiations, and Michael McConnell represented the landlord, McConnell Development, on an internal basis.

HOUSTON — Lee & Associates has negotiated a 75,000-square-foot office lease at Republic Square, a 35-acre, newly renovated campus located along the Katy Freeway in West Houston. According to LoopNet Inc., Republic Square was built in 1980, renovated in 2020 and totals 324,546 square feet. Bill Insull and Blake Virgilio of Lee & Associates, along with internal agent Jon Herbster, represented the landlord, Houston EC Development LLC, in the lease negotiations. Bob Cromwell and Bob Gulley of Moody Rambin, in conjunction with Zack Taylor of Colliers, represented the tenant, Fugro, which provides geotechnical surveying services.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Locally based brokerage firm LanCarte Commercial has arranged four retail leases totaling 19,745 square feet at Westcliff Shopping Center in Fort Worth. New tenants at the property include skateboarding and specialty apparel retailer Cowtown, Specialist Jewelry Clinic, Fort Worth Dance Academy and Organized Nest, a boutique professional services company. Ben Gehrke and Riley Dow of LanCarte represented the landlord, CTO Realty Growth Inc., in the lease negotiations.

TEANECK, N.J. — Newmark has negotiated an office lease expansion at Glenpointe Centre East in the Northern New Jersey community of Teaneck. Jeff Schotz, Peter Rossi, Dan Reider, Peter Kasparian and David Simson of Newmark represented the landlord, locally based investment firm Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, in the lease negotiations. Andrew Zezas of Real Estate Strategies Corp. represented the tenant, Interstate Waste Services, which has leased space at Glenpointe Center East since 2013 and now occupies about 18,000 square feet.

UNION, N.J. — Nonprofit organization Rise Against Hunger has signed an 11,500-square-foot industrial lease in the Northern New Jersey community of Union. The facility features a clear height of 16 feet and two overhead loading docks. Tim Farley of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Joel Tomlinson of Silbert Realty & Management represented the landlord, locally based investment firm The STRO Cos.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — Preusser Jewelers has opened an 1,897-square-foot store at 1200 E. Paris Ave. SE in Grand Rapids. Known for being Michigan’s oldest jeweler, the company moved to the new location after being in downtown Grand Rapids for 173 years. Bill Tyson of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented the tenant in the lease. The landlord was undisclosed. Additional tenants at the center include Bill and Paul’s Sporthaus and Groskopf’s.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. — Syracuse University has leased 21,377 square feet of space at a nine-story office building in North Hollywood. The building is located at 5250 Lankershim Blvd.  The space will house the university’s growing “SU in LA” semester programs, a career-oriented initiative for students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the College of Visual & Performing Arts.  Marty Barkan represented Syracuse University in the lease negotiations. Patrick Church and Anneke Greco of JLL represented the landlord, DivcoWest.
