EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Babies ‘R’ Us will open a 10,000-square-foot flagship store at American Dream, an entertainment destination located in the Northern New Jersey community of East Rutherford. The parent company of Babies ‘R’ Us, New York City-based WHP Global, purchased a controlling stake in Tru Kids Inc., which also owned Toys ‘R’ Us, in March 2021 and announced plans to reopen certain stores. As such, the American Dream store effectively represents the flagship location for the retailer as WHP Global works to re-establish its physical footprint. The opening is scheduled for this summer.

CLARKSTON, MICH. — Landlord Shango Properties has leased an approximately 1,500-square-foot space in the White Lake Commons shopping center in Clarkston, a northern suburb of Detroit, to physical fitness center chain Stretch Lab. The Gerdom Realty & Investment team of Michael Murphy and Tjader Gerdom represented the landlord, and Stephen Smith of TNF Realty represented Stretch Lab. White Lake Commons is anchored by Neiman’s Market and is located near the intersection of Dixie Highway and White Lake Road.
HOUSTON — Locally based developer Radom Capital has welcomed six new tenants to Montrose Collective, an office and retail development in Houston. Concepts coming to the property include restaurants Graffiti Raw and Picnik — opening this month and in the spring, respectively — as well as four fitness and beauty concepts. SISU, a med spa, will debut in February, while Studio BE, Glosslab and Skin Laundry will open later this year. Montrose Collective, which currently features 15 retailers and five restaurants, is now 97 percent leased.
TAUNTON, MASS. — Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated a 260,150-square-foot industrial lease in Taunton, located about 40 miles south of Boston. The tenant, Ferguson Plumbing Supply, will occupy space at Taunton Trade Center, a 584,640-square-foot speculative development. The newly built complex features a clear height of 40 feet, 112 loading docks, 546 car parking spaces and 132 trailer parking stalls. Philip Verre, Rob Byrne, Pete Whoriskey and Paul Leone of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Martignetti Cos., in the lease negotiations. CBRE represented the tenant.
PUNTA GORDA, FLA. — Dakota Premium Hardwoods, a hardwood lumber and cabinet product supplier based in Waco, Texas, has signed a 75,000-square-foot industrial lease at 9450 Piper Road in Punta Gorda. The tenant will occupy space within Florida Gulf Coast Logistics Center, a 378,000-square-foot speculative facility being developed within Enterprise Charlotte Airport Park. Dan Miller of Colliers represented the landlord, Equus Capital Partners Ltd., in the lease transaction. Rian Smith of CBRE represented the tenant. Dakota Premium Hardwoods expects to move into its new warehouse and distribution space in September, according to Colliers.
NEW YORK CITY — Score Sports Bar will open a 9,000-square-foot restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. The tenant has committed to a three-story space at 416 Eighth Avenue, which is located adjacent to Madison Square Garden, for 15 years. Brad Schwarz and James Ficelman of Lee & Associates represented the landlord, Riese Organization, in the lease negotiations. Spencer Planit of Winick Realty represented Scores Sports Bar.
FRANKLIN, TENN. — In-N-Out Burger, a popular fast-food chain based in California, has announced plans to expand to Tennessee, beginning with a regional office in the Nashville suburb of Franklin. The company plans to open its first Tennessee restaurant in the Nashville area by 2026, which represents the furthest east location for In-N-Out. “We are very excited to provide Tennesseans with our quality burgers, fries and shakes,” says Lynsi Snyder, In-N-Out owner and president. “This expansion is significant for our company. For many years, we’ve heard requests from our customers in Tennessee to consider opening locations near them, further east than we’ve ever been. We very much look forward to serving them in years to come and becoming part of the wonderful communities in The Volunteer State.” In-N-Out was founded in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder as a small hamburger stand in Baldwin Park, Calif. The building is considered California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand. Today, In-N-Out operates 385 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah. The company, which has headquarters in Baldwin Park and Irvine, Calif., employs about 35,000 associates and does not franchise any of its locations.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Neveon USA, a provider of upholstery, foam and insulation products, has signed a 50,000-square-foot industrial lease at Riverbend Business Park in Fort Worth. The development is located on the city’s northeast side and consists of 32 buildings totaling roughly 1.4 million square feet. William Wilson and George Jennings of Holt Lunsford Commercial represented the landlord, Riverbend Properties, in the lease negotiations. Louis Pascuzzi of Newmark represented the tenant.
