CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Whataburger, a Corpus Christi-based fast food burger chain, is opening its first metro Atlanta restaurants this year. The two locations will be situated at 705 Town Park Lane NW in Kennesaw and 9766 GA-92 in Woodstock. At its Kennesaw location, Whataburger plans to hire 180 employees, and to employ more than 1,400 employees in the metro Atlanta area restaurants by the end of 2023. In 2023, other Whataburger locations will open around metro Atlanta including at 503 Lakeland Plaza in Cumming; SEQ Buford Drive and Exchange Drive in Buford; 3321 Lexington Road in Athens; 3201 Atlanta Highway in Athens; 100 Pottery Road in Commerce; and 15 Wallace Blvd. in Dawsonville. Whataburger currently has one Georgia restaurant in Thomasville. The burger chain has over 880 locations across 14 states.

NEW YORK CITY — Sigma Computing Inc., a provider of data analytics software, has signed a 15,500-square-foot office lease at Zero Irving, a 21-story building in Midtown Manhattan. The tenant will occupy space on the ninth floor of the for five years. Jeff Rodgers, Stephen Cisarik and Brent Ozarowski of Newmark represented Sigma Computing in the lease negotiations. JLL represented the landlord, a partnership between RAL Development and Junius Real Estate Partners.

Kewaunee Scientific Corp.

STATESVILLE, N.C. — CBRE has brokered the sale-leaseback of a 416,300-square-foot manufacturing facility in Statesville. Nevada-based CAI Investments purchased the property for $30.3 million. Patrick Gildea, Trey Barry, Matt Smith, Grayson Hawkins and John Christenbury of CBRE represented the seller and tenant, Kewaunee Scientific Corp., in the sale-leaseback transaction. Kewaunee Scientific Corp. is a designer and manufacturer of laboratory, healthcare and technical furniture products. The Statesville building serves as Kewaunee Scientific’s primary manufacturing facility. Situated on 21.3 acres at 2700 W. Front St., the property is located within three miles of the Interstates 40 and 77 and about 41.6 miles north of Charlotte.

North-Quarter-35-Fort-Worth

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — An undisclosed distribution user has signed a 376,000-square-foot industrial lease at North Quarter 35, a 645,000-square-foot development in Fort Worth’s Alliance Corridor. Owned by M2G Ventures, North Quarter 35 comprises four buildings in various stages of development. Seth Koschak, Forrest Cook and Brett Carlton of Stream Realty Partners, which also provides construction management services for the development, represented M2G Ventures in the lease negotiations. Mark Collins of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Dallas-based brokerage firm Holt Lunsford Commercial has negotiated a 14,775-square-foot industrial lease renewal at 200 N. Vacek St. in Fort Worth. David Cason and Jake Neal with Holt Lunsford represented the tenant, Ambiance Textiles Inc., in the lease negotiations. The name and representative of the landlord were not disclosed.

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO — Eby-Brown and Rittal Inc. have signed leases and will be the first two tenants at Upper Valley Business Park in Springfield, about 45 miles west of Columbus. Industrial Commercial Properties owns the property, which was formerly Upper Valley Mall. The mall has been repositioned as a business park for office and light industrial users. Naperville, Ill.-based Eby-Brown is a wholesale distributor to the convenience store industry. The company has leased 35,000 square feet. Chicago-based Rittal North America will occupy 130,000 square feet starting later this spring. Rittal, a global manufacturer and system solutions provider of industrial and IT enclosures and accessories, currently occupies a manufacturing plant in Urbana, Ohio. Matt Osowski of NAI Ohio Equities represented Rittal.

HOUSTON — NAI Partners has negotiated a 7,454-square-foot office lease at Marathon Oil Tower, a 41-story building located at 5555 San Felipe St. in West Houston. Dan Boyles, Chris Haro and John Simons of NAI Partners represented the tenant, software developer Datagration, in the lease negotiations. Elliott Hirshfeld with CBRE represented the landlord, an entity doing business as MMP 5555 San Felipe LLC.

Atlantic Station

ATLANTA — International fashion and leisure department retailer YOYOSO will open its first Atlanta store at Atlantic Station, a mixed-use destination in Atlanta’s West Midtown area that features over 30 stores and restaurants, entertainment, hotels and 700,000 square feet of Class A office space, including a new office tower anchored by Microsoft. Located at 260 18th St. NW, the 8,244-square-foot space will include both men’s and women’s apparel at affordable prices from over 600 suppliers across the globe. YOYOSO is set to open its doors this fall. YOYOSO was founded in 2014 by Huan MA in China and opened its first location in the United States in 2019 with a Miami Beach storefront. The fashion enterprise has since expanded to over 1,000 locations across 36 countries and over 380 cities. The Atlantic Station location will be open seven days a week, with grand opening plans to be announced soon. Atlantic Station has also welcomed other tenants recently to the property including Derek Automotive, an electric vehicle company. The landlord of Atlantic Station, Hines, also plans to add Rosé Bistro and Champagne Bar and Atlanta Breakfast Club later this year.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — New Jersey-based packaging firm Imperial Bag & Paper Co. has signed a 106,122-square-foot industrial lease at 5200 South Freeway in Fort Worth. According to LoopNet Inc., the 212,175-square-foot property was built on 10.3 acres in 2021 and features 32-foot clear heights, 30 dock doors and an ESFR sprinkler system. Reid Bassinger, Trey Fricke and Becky Thompson of Lee & Associates represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Brad Balke of Colliers represented the tenant.

NEW YORK CITY — Red Bull has signed a 17,585-square-foot office lease at 5 Little West 12th St. in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District for its new East Coast headquarters. The energy drink provider plans to relocate from 218 West 18th Street to the 82,000-square-foot building in the third quarter. David Falk, Daniel Levine and Jason Greenstein of Newmark represented the landlord, British investment firm EPIC, in the lease negotiations. Cushman & Wakefield’s David Mainthow represented Red Bull.
