TAMPA AND BRANDENTON, FLA. — Conn’s HomePlus, a furniture, mattress and home appliances retailer, will open a store in Tampa’s Horizon Park shopping center and Bradenton’s Cortez Plaza on Feb. 5. The stores will combine to span more than 87,000 square feet. Horizon Park is located at 3908 W. Hillsborough Ave., six miles northeast of downtown Tampa. Cortez Plaza is situated at 4495 14th St. W., 43 miles south of downtown Tampa. Conn’s plans to host grand opening events at each store this spring. The Woodlands, Texas-based retailer operates 149 locations in 15 states.

EAST WINDSOR, N.J. — National Tree Co., a New Jersey-based provider of decorative Christmas items, has signed a 608,442-square-foot industrial lease in East Windsor, a suburb of Trenton. The tenant will occupy the entirety of the building at 150 Milford Road, which is owned by Nevada-based Dermody Properties, for the next seven years. Andrew Warren with Atlantic Real Estate Services represented National Tree Co. in the lease negotiations. Mindy Lissner of CBRE represented the landlord.
EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. — Beyond Meat Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND), a producer of plant-based meat replacement products, has signed a 12-year lease for a 300,000-square-foot corporate headquarters less than one mile south of Los Angeles International Airport at 888. N. Douglas St. in El Segundo. The headquarters will be located within a four-building, 550,000-square-foot creative office and industrial campus currently under development by Hackman Capital Partners, which is scheduled for completion this spring. Beyond Meat’s offices are set to open in fall of this year and will include advanced research labs and incubator spaces for the development of new technologies and more innovative products. The company’s headquarters is designed for LEED and Fitwel certification in alignment with Beyond Meat’s mission and commitment to sustainability and workplace wellbeing. “Our new campus and state-of-the-art research facilities will house cutting-edge fundamental and applied research alongside globalized product development teams, all in service to a single goal — creating meat from plants that is indistinguishable from its animal protein equivalent,” says Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of Beyond Meat. HAWTHORNE, N.J. — R.J. Brunelli & Co. has negotiated an 11,878-square-foot retail lease at Hawthorne Center, a 107,700-square-foot shopping center located about 25 miles northwest of New York City in Northern New Jersey. The discount retailer will occupy an endcap space now home to by sister chain Dollar Tree, which will relocate to a 12,394-square-foot endcap space on the opposite end of the center. That space previously housed Flaming Grill Buffet. The Family Dollar store is expected to open in the third quarter, and the relocated Dollar Tree store is scheduled to open in the second quarter. R.J. Brunelli also recently negotiated leases for European Wax Center and Liberty Discount Furniture & Mattress at other centers in Northern New Jersey. Danielle Brunelli represented the tenants on the Family Dollar and European Wax Center leases, while Peter Miller of R.J. Brunelli represented both the landlord and tenant on the Liberty transaction.
IRVING, TEXAS — Bioworld Merchandising, a global manufacturer and distributor of licensed apparel and accessories, has signed a 123,844-square-foot industrial lease at TCC Passport Park in Irving. John Fulton, Clayton Johnson, Nora Hogan and Jordan Wade of Transwestern represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MICH. — MollerTech LLC has leased 51280 Regency Center Drive, a newly constructed industrial and office building spanning 65,106 square feet in Macomb Township. MollerTech’s luxury automotive leather assembly division will occupy the space. MollerTech expects to move into the new space in March and create more than 75 skilled labor jobs. COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Home Depot has signed a 68,040-square-foot industrial lease within Midway Logistics VI in Columbia. Magnus Development is developing the 192,780-square-foot facility, which is situated within Lexington County Industrial Park, less than two miles from the Interstate 26/77 interchange and six miles southeast of the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Midway Logistics VI features 32-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinklers, motion-sensor LED lighting and trailer parking. The Home Depot plans to utilize the space as a last-mile distribution center. A timeline for the Atlanta-based retailer’s move-in was not disclosed. Chuck Salley, Dave Mathews, Thomas Beard and John Peebles of Colliers represented the landlord in the lease negotiations.
FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS — Regional healthcare provider Southwestern Health Resources has signed a 150,000-square-foot lease at Browning Place, a 627,560-square-foot office complex in the northern Dallas metro of Farmers Branch. Amenities at the complex include an onsite bank branch, jogging trail, café and a fitness center. Duane Henley of Transwestern represented the landlord, Browning Place LLC, in the lease negotiations. DALLAS — ProPak Logistics has signed a 103,085-square-foot industrial lease at 8801 Autobahn Drive in South Dallas. According to LoopNet Inc., the property was built in 1997 and totals 270,490 square feet. Canon Shoults and John Gorman of Holt Lunsford Commercial represented the landlord, Boston-based TA Realty, in the lease negotiations. Michael Meaden of CBRE represented the tenant.
DARTMOUTH, MASS. — German discount grocer Aldi will open a 21,000-square-foot store at Dartmouth Mall in southeastern Massachusetts in the fourth quarter. Aldi will backfill a space previously occupied by Sears and will join Burlington, Old Navy, H&M and Five Below as some of the largest tenants at the property. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) owns Dartmouth Mall.
