HAMPSTEAD, MD. — Stag Industrial has signed a book publisher to a 1 million-square-foot industrial lease at 630 Hanover Pike in Hampstead. The lease was effective Aug. 1 and will last for five-and-a-half years with three months of free rent and 3 percent annual rent escalations. The property is situated 30 miles north of downtown Baltimore. As of June 30, Boston-based Stag’s portfolio comprised 457 buildings in 38 states with approximately 91.8 million rentable square feet.

CHICAGO — Sloan, a manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems and touchless restroom solutions, has signed a 20,000-square-foot office lease at 333 N. Green in Chicago’s Fulton Market. Sloan will use the space for its first Chicago showroom. Owned by Sterling Bay, 333 N. Green is now 93 percent leased. Russ Cora and Gillian Keebler of Sterling Bay negotiated the lease transaction. NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — German discount grocer Lidl has opened a 28,000-square-foot store at Brunswick Shopping Center, a 288,000-square-foot retail center located in North-Central New Jersey. Other tenants at the property include LA Fitness, Muscle Maker Grill, GNC, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty, McDonald’s, Sherwin Williams and Community Dental. New Jersey-based Levin Management Corp. represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The representative of the tenant was not disclosed. Lidl now operates 10 stores in New Jersey.
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — CBRE has negotiated two office leases totaling 6,200 square feet at 23 Vreeland Road in Florham Park, about 30 miles west of New York City. International export company Hockman-Lewis inked a 4,600-square-foot lease, while law firm Bakos & Kritzer committed to a 1,600-square-foot space. Jonathan Meisel, Dan Casey and Erin Wenzler of CBRE represented the landlord, Eastman Cos., in the lease negotiations. Dylan Tusinac and David DeMatteis of Cushman & Wakefield represented Hockman-Lewis, while Bakos & Kritzer was self-represented.
SAN ANTONIO — Solar energy company Freedom Forever Texas has signed a 16,364-square-foot industrial lease at 4940 Eisenhauer Road in San Antonio. John Grady of CBRE’s Phoenix office represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Josh Aguilar of CBRE’s San Antonio office represented the landlord, Prologis.
BLAUVELT, N.Y. — CBRE has negotiated a 200,775-square-foot industrial lease at Hudson Crossing Industrial Park, a 1.2 million-square-foot development in Blauvelt, about 30 miles north of Manhattan. The tenant, an undisclosed e-commerce user, will occupy 123,999 square feet at 400 Oritani Drive and 76,776 square feet at the neighboring building at 200 Oritani Drive. Thomas Monahan, Stephen D’Amato, Larry Schiffenhaus, Anastasia Lazrides, Lauren Hageman, Gerard Monahan and Brian Fiumara of CBRE represented the landlord, Onyx Equities, in the lease negotiations.
PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Linemart NJ, an e-commerce fulfillment vendor for Amazon, has signed a 67,430-square-foot industrial lease at 60 E. Halsey Road in Parsippany, about 30 miles west of New York City. Scott Peck of New Jersey-based brokerage firm Resource Realty represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Tom Consiglio and Bill Pastuszak, also with Resource Realty, represented the landlord, Longpoint Realty Partners.
TROY, MICH. — Beyond Juicery + Eatery has signed a 1,104-square-foot lease at Troy Marketplace. The juicer will occupy space that formerly housed Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt. The retail center is located at the intersection of Big Beaver and Rochester roads in Troy, about 20 miles north of Detroit. Tjader Gerdom, Michael Murphy and Larry Siedell of Gerdom Realty & Investment represented the landlord, RPT Realty, in the lease negotiations. NEW YORK CITY — Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) has signed a lease to fully occupy the office portion of The Farley Building, a mixed-use project under construction in Manhattan. The landlord, Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO), is redeveloping the historic property, which was formerly the James A. Farley Post Office Building. The social media giant will occupy 730,000 square feet in the building. A timeline for the move-in and the number of employees moving into Farley was not disclosed. “The Farley Building will further anchor our New York footprint and create a dedicated hub for our tech and engineering teams,” says Robert Cookson, Facebook’s vice president of real estate and facilities. The Farley Building spans a double-wide city block between 31st and 33rd streets and 8th and 9th avenues. The property is part of Vornado’s Penn District development. Vornado owns more than 10 million square feet in Penn District, which is undergoing a $2 billion redevelopment, not including infrastructure and transit improvements by City of New York totaling $3 billion. HOUSTON — Locally based advertising agency Decode has signed a 13,000-square-foot office lease at M-K-T, a mixed-use development in The Heights neighborhood of Houston. Triten Real Estate Partners, Radom Capital and Long Wharf Capital are the co-developers of M-K-T. Bubba Harkins and Jenny Mueller of JLL represented the development team in the lease negotiations. Joe Rambin of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. With the closing of this deal, the office component of the project is 50 percent preleased.
