DORAL, FLA. — Miami-based real estate developer Terra has signed several new retailers for Doral Square, a 150,000-square-foot retail center in Doral, about 17 miles west of Miami. The new development will include anchors 24 Hour Fitness and Marshalls and will be built on the southeast corner of Doral Boulevard and 87th Avenue, near Carnival Cruise Lines’ offices and Trump National Doral Resort. Doral Square is over 42 percent preleased, including restaurant tenants World of Beer and Panda Express. The project is scheduled to break ground by the end of this year, with delivery expected in 2021. Terra’s other projects in Doral include the nearby Doral Commons retail center and in-progress retail developments Atrium Doral and District 79.

NAI James Hanson Negotiates 12,000 SF Retail Lease for Indian Grocer in Parsippany, New Jersey

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — NAI James Hanson has negotiated a 12,000-square-foot retail lease for specialty grocer Indian Stream LLC in Parsippany, located approximately 30 miles west of New York City. The building features 122 feet of highway frontage as well as attached warehouse space. Darren Lizzack and Randy Horning of NAI James Hanson represented the landlord, Peak Realty Associates LLC, in the lease negotiations. The duo also represented Indian Stream.
DEERFIELD, ILL. — Colliers International principals Darryl Silverman and Steve Kling recently negotiated office leases totaling more than 116,000 square feet at Parkway North Center in Deerfield. Colliers represented building ownership, Fulcrum Asset Advisors and True North Management. At Six Parkway North, Lundbeck and Advanced Clinical signed leases. The property is now 95 percent leased. Lundbeck, a global pharmaceutical company, leased an additional 24,500 square feet to bring its total footprint to 73,000 square feet. John Goodman of Savils represented Lundbeck. Advanced Clinical signed a new lease for 16,521 square feet and will relocate from Ten Parkway North. Larry Serota and John Marquardt of Transwestern represented the tenant. At Nine Parkway North, now 88 percent leased, Michael Silver & Co. leased 19,253 square feet. The firm will relocate from Skokie in 2020. John Goodman and Isabel Preskill of Savils represented the accounting and consulting firm. Global executive search and leadership consulting firm Spencer Stuart leased 7,890 square feet. Bill Rogers and Isabelle Montagne of JLL represented the tenant.
DALLAS — Holt Lunsford Commercial has negotiated a 77,415-square-foot industrial lease renewal at 631-641 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas. According to LoopNet Inc., the property was built in 1980, spans 133,000 square feet and features 26-foot clear heights. Canon Shoults of Holt Lunsford represented the landlord, Boston-based TA Realty, in the lease negotiations. Craig Jones and Michael Haggar of JLL represented the tenant, Dakota Premium Hardwood.
PLANO, TEXAS — Fun Movie Grill, an entertainment concept that combines food, bowling, movies and games, will open a 70,000-square-foot venue in Plano. The eight-screen location will be part of Mustang Square, a 36-acre mixed-use development that will include 90,000 square feet of office space, hotels, residential villas and townhomes and a public plaza. Dan Avnery and Stewart Korte of NAI Robert Lynn represented the tenant and the landlord, Thakkar Developers, which broke ground on Phase I of the project in October, in the lease negotiations. The venue, which is scheduled to open in 2020, will be Fun Movie Grill’s fourth entertainment center in the metroplex.
NEW YORK CITY — Facebook has signed a 1.5 million-square-foot office lease at Hudson Yards in Manhattan. The social media giant will occupy space across 30 floors and three buildings at the mixed-use development, including approximately 1.2 million square feet in 50 Hudson Yards, 265,000 square feet in 30 Hudson Yards and 57,000 square feet in 55 Hudson Yards. Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group developed 30 Hudson Yards. Related Cos., Mitsui Fudosan America and Oxford Properties Group developed 50 and 55 Hudson Yards. Cushman & Wakefield represented Facebook in the lease negotiations. Related Cos. was self-represented.
HUTCHINS, TEXAS — National Container Group LLC has signed a 10-year, 120,960-square-foot industrial lease at Intermodal Business Center in Hutchins, a southern suburb of Dallas. Construction is underway to reconfigure the property, which was built in 2017 and features 32-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and 38 dock doors, for National Container Group’s needs. Jean Russo of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Michael Grant and Susan Singer of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Intermodal Warehouse Partners.
HOUSTON — NAI Partners has negotiated an 8,100-square-foot industrial lease for BSN Sports, a distributor of athletic apparel and equipment, a t 11707 S. Sam Houston Parkway West in Houston. Chris Caudill of NAI Partners represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Boone Smith and Garret Geacccone of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, DRA Advisors LLC.
HOPEWELL, N.J. — Environmental consulting and engineering firm Geosyntec Consultants has signed an 8,886-square-foot office lease at Princeton Place at Hopewell, an office campus located approximately 15 miles north of Trenton. The company will relocate its regional office from Ewing to the three-building, Class A office campus. Additional tenants at the campus include health insurance provider Horizon Blue Cross, pharmaceutical developer Janssen Research and Bank of America. Amenities include onsite dining services, a fitness ccenter and an outdoor space with a jogging trail, multiple sporting fields and courts. CHICAGO — Egg Harbor Café has opened at Optima Signature, a 47-story, 490-unit luxury apartment tower in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. The Streeterville location is the first downtown Chicago restaurant for Egg Harbor Café, which specializes in breakfast, brunch and lunch and maintains 20 locations in Illinois, Wisconsin and Georgia. Optima Inc. is the developer behind Optima Signature, which features 60,000 square feet of retail and office space. Egg Harbor occupies 4,905 square feet. There is one 490-square-foot retail space remaining at the apartment property, which opened in 2017. Other retailers include GoodVets, Guidepost Montessori, Runaway Fitness and Bedazzled Nails & Spa.
