BURLINGTON, N.J. — Wolf Commercial Real Estate (WCRE) has negotiated a 2,918-square-foot office lease for Vitality Hospice Care in Burlington, a southern suburb of Trenton. The space is located within a 63,400-square-foot office building at 460 Veterans Drive. The Class B office property was constructed in 1984 and offers convenient access to the New Jersey Turnpike, the New Jersey Transit River Line station and Interstate 295. Kevin Coleman and Victor DeJesus of WCRE represented Vitality Hospice Care in the lease negotiations. The team also represented the landlord, H & W Holding Group LLC.

Buffalo-Heights-Houston

HOUSTON — Google has leased office space at 3663 Washington Ave. in the Buffalo Heights mixed-use development in Houston, according to reports from several local media outlets, including The Houston Chronicle, which first reported the news. The office will be Google’s first in Houston and will serve the California-based tech giant’s cloud technology sales division. CultureMap Houston, a publication covering the city’s lifestyle and restaurant scene, reports that the office will open in early 2021. Buffalo Heights is a mixed-use development by BKR Memorial and Midway that features office and multifamily uses, as well as a retail component anchored by an H-E-B grocery store.

NEW YORK CITY — Goodwill Industries has renewed its 30,800-square-foot office lease for its corporate headquarters in Brooklyn. The the nonprofit organization leases the entire third floor of an office building located at 25 Elm Place that previously served as a J.W. Mays department store building. Goodwill has leased the office space for five years and has renewed its lease for an additional 20 years. Goodwill provides training, placement, on-the-job coaching, and retention services from this office, which is located directly across the street from the flagship Goodwill store. Stephen Powers, Arthur Skelskie and Lindsay Ornstein of Transwestern represented Goodwill in the lease negotiations. George Silva and Michael Caruso internally represented the building owner, J.W. Mays Inc. along with Robert Hebron and Rob Hebron of Ingram & Hebron Realty.

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Gold Medal Bakery has signed a 23,500-square-foot industrial lease in Hackensack, a northwestern suburb of New York City. The space is located within a 65,700-square-foot warehousing and distribution facility at 215 S. Newman St. The building features two drive-in loading docks and a clear height of 16 feet. The property offers convenient access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 80 and the Garden State Parkway. The Stro Companies is the owner of the building.

Greenway-Plaza-Houston

HOUSTON — Occidental Petroleum has extended its 972,145-square-foot office lease at Greenway Plaza in Houston, a deal that will keep the Houston-based energy giant at the 52-acre campus through 2031. Rima Soroka and Eric Siegrist represented the landlord, Parkway, in the lease negotiations on an internal basis. The representative of Occidental, which has occupied space at Greenway Plaza since 2017, was not disclosed. The company also added about 92,000 square feet of space to its footprint earlier this year.

EL PASO, TEXAS — Global insurance brokerage firm HUB International has leased 13,000 square feet at WestStar Tower, a 20-story, Class A office building under construction in downtown El Paso. Other tenants committed to the project include Corralito restaurant as well as WestStar Bank and Hunt Cos. Will Brown and Adin Brown with Sonny Brown Associates are leading the leasing effort for office and retail users, as well as sales efforts for the project’s office condominiums. HUB has more than 475 offices worldwide employing 12,000 people.

GreenWise Market Preserve Marketplace Odessa

ODESSA, FLA. — Publix Super Markets Inc. has opened a 25,147-square-foot GreenWise Market in Odessa, its fourth Florida location for the grocer. The organic grocery store is situated within Preserve Marketplace, a shopping center located along State Road 54 about 25 miles north of Tampa. The Sembler Co. is the owner of the newly built, 56,331-square-foot shopping center. The new GreenWise includes five “experience zones” labeled Cares (vitamins and soaps), Cuts (meats), Eats (prepared meals including sandwiches and pizza), Finds (wine and cheese) and Pours (a bar serving wine, coffee and beer that patrons can drink while shopping). The store also features a mural by artist Candace Knapp. There are currently eight open GreenWise locations in the Southeast, and another is set to open on Saturday, June 20 in Ponte Vedra, Fla. Publix also plans to open a GreenWise at Channelside in downtown Tampa next year.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL. — Screen Americas has signed a 44,198-square-foot industrial lease at Elk Grove Technology Park in Elk Grove Village. Screen is a provider of inkjet printing technology. The facility will serve as the North American headquarters for the company. Mike Sedjo, Jack Brennan and John Hamilton of CBRE represented the landlord, Brennan Investment Group, in the lease transaction. Joe Bronson of NAI Hiffman represented Screen, which will occupy space within a 151,693-square-foot building. Elk Grove Technology Park is an 85-acre industrial park near O’Hare International Airport. With the completion of Phase I in the fourth quarter of 2019, the park is nearly 75 percent leased.

NEW YORK CITY — Housing Works, a nonprofit organization that operates thrift shops and book stores in New York City, has signed a 15,315-square-foot lease in the Long Island City submarket of Queens. The company has relocated from its previous space at the Matsil Building to The Anable Building, a 140,000-square-foot property located at 33-02 48th Ave. The new location serves as warehousing and distribution space as well as a call center and office space. Nicholas Farmakis, David Carlos and John Mambrino of Savills represented Housing Works in the lease negotiations. Forrest Mas and Chris Pachios internally represented the building owner, North River Co.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Amcor Rigid Plastics USA Inc., a producer of plastic products for the food and healthcare industries, has renewed its 269,388-square-foot lease in Fort Worth. The landlord, ML Realty Partners, signed Amcor to the extension at 4100 Fleetwood Road on the city’s northeast side near DFW International Airport. According to LoopNet Inc., the facility sits on 16 acres. David Stechly and Greg Kloiber of Campio represented the tenant in the lease transaction.
