FORT WORTH, TEXAS — CityCentral, a Dallas-based coworking office concept, will open a 22,530-square-foot space at Cantey Hanger Plaza in downtown Fort Worth. The space, which is scheduled to open this fall and will be the company’s fourth in the metroplex, will offer more than 70 private offices, as well as meeting rooms and event spaces. Matthew Hickey and Kristin Grammar of TIG Real Estate Services represented CityCentral in the lease negotiations. Red Oak Realty represented the landlord.

WESTMONT, ILL. — JLL has signed a long-term lease to anchor Oakmont Point, a redevelopment project underway by Ryan Cos. in Westmont. The commercial real estate services firm will consolidate its existing operations in Westmont and Lombard to occupy the new 67,000-square-foot office this fall. Oakmont Point is an 18-acre office complex. Upon redevelopment, the property will feature three buildings that can accommodate users from 25,000 to 275,000 square feet. Amenities will include a conference center, Wi-Fi lounge, fitness center, deli and outdoor spaces.
CHICAGO — Merchants Capital has opened a production office located at 131 S. Dearborn St. in Chicago. This is the company’s fourth office nationwide. Lee Oller has been hired as executive vice president to lead the Chicago team. Joining Oller are three senior vice presidents: Susan Schnoll, Alan Cravitz and Brian Black. Merchants Capital is a multifamily, affordable housing and healthcare lender.
PHILADELPHIA — Colliers International has negotiated a 200,000-square-foot industrial lease at 7601 State Road in northeast Philadelphia for JAKO Enterprises, an urban footwear and apparel company. According to LoopNet Inc., the property was built in 1968 on 8.3 acres and offers proximity to I-95. JAKO Enterprises will relocate its regional warehousing and distribution operations from 12000 Roosevelt Blvd., a site that formerly served as a baking facility for Nabisco. Richard Gorodesky of Colliers represented JAKO Enterprises, which operates 64 stores throughout the mid-Atlantic region, in the lease negotiations. Pennsylvania-based Roddy Inc. represented the undisclosed landlord.
Liberty Property Trust Signs Two Tenants to Industrial Leases in Upstate South Carolina

DUNCAN, S.C. — Liberty Property Trust (LPT) has signed Rochling Automotive USA and XPO Logistics to industrial leases at Hillside Industrial Park in Duncan. Hillside Industrial Park is situated near U.S. Highway 290, less than a mile from the Interstate 85 interchange. Rochling Automotive has renewed its 124,800-square-foot, full-building lease at 265 East Parkway. The German-based automotive company designs and engineers components and system solutions in the fields of aerodynamics, propulsion and new mobility for automotive manufacturers globally. Bobby Lyons of Lyons Industrial represented the tenant in the lease transaction. Bryan Blythe represented LPT internally. The industrial REIT also signed XPO Logistics to a 32,000-square-foot lease at 170 Parkway West. Russell Perry and Russell Perry Jr. of R.E. Perry Co. represented XPO Logistics in the lease transaction. Brian Young, Elliott Fayssoux and Kacie Jackson of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represented LPT.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS — Wealth and human resources consulting firm Alight Solutions has signed a 180,000-square-foot office lease within The Woodlands, a master-planned community located north of Houston. The company’s new office space will offer access to walking trails and other outdoor amenities. The build-to-suit lease is for a building in The Woodlands that is currently under construction and is expected to be complete by spring 2020. Ronnie Deyo and David Bale of JLL represented Alight Solutions in the lease negotiations. Robert Parsley, Norm Munoz and Jillian Fredericks of Colliers International represented the landlord and developer, The Howard Hughes Corp.
RICHARDSON, TEXAS — CBRE has negotiated an 8,828-square-foot office lease at 3001 E. George Bush Turnpike in Richardson, a northeastern suburb of Dallas. Tommy Nelson and Ben Davis of CBRE represented the landlord, Buchanan Street Partners, in the lease negotiations. Jeff Smith of Transwestern represented the tenant, Cardiovascular Provider Resources LLC.
CHICAGO — Home Chef has unveiled plans to move its headquarters into the redeveloped Old Post Office in Chicago this year. Home Chef, which merged with The Kroger Co. in 2018, will use the new space to accelerate growth, develop new products and expand its offerings. The company, which produces meal kits, will occupy 74,000 square feet. Home Chef currently has more than 750 employees in the Chicago area at its corporate offices in the Wrigley Building, satellite offices and distribution center in Bedford Park. The renovation of the Old Post Office Building is an $800 million project currently underway by owner 601W Cos. to transform the property into office space. Other tenants who have recently signed leases include Walgreens, Ferrara Candy Co. and AbelsonTaylor.
GRAND RAPIDS AND GRANDVILLE, MICH. — The Donut Conspiracy is opening two new locations in Grand Rapids and Grandville in western Michigan. The Grand Rapids store will span 1,500 square feet and include an industrial kitchen for production. The Grandville store, formerly home to Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, spans 1,800 square feet. The Donut Conspiracy was founded in 2017. Each location features vintage décor and themes around historic conspiracy theories.
TUSCALOOSA, ALA. — GBT Realty has signed HomeGoods and Shoe Station to lease space at McFarland Plaza, a 234,000-square-foot retail power center located at 2600 McFarland Blvd. in Tuscaloosa, about one mile south of the University of Alabama. HomeGoods will backfill a former Toys ‘R’ Us store spanning 23,000 square feet, and Shoe Station will lease 11,900 square feet. The center was 97 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants such as Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx, Stein Mart, Cato Fashions, Michaels and Pet Supplies Plus. GBT Realty’s leasing team is currently seeking quick-service restaurants, financial services, medical/dental chains and other service providers to fill McFarland Plaza’s remaining small shop space.
