IRVINE, CALIF. — Taco Bell Corp. has renewed its corporate headquarters lease in Irvine through 2030. The five-story, 180,000-square-foot office building is located at 1 Glen Bell Way, about 42 miles south of Los Angeles. The facility houses 800 corporate and contracted employees, is LEED certified and offers amenities such as on-site child care, a dining center, salon, gym, game room, dry cleaning services and a car washing services. The Irvine property serves as one of three restaurant support centers for the Yum! Brands Inc, the parent company of Taco Bell. Specifically, the support center includes a test kitchen for new Taco Bell food innovations. Cushman & Wakefield’s Irvine office arranged the lease between Taco Bell and landlord LBA Realty. Glen Bell founded Taco Bell in 1962. The restaurant chain has been headquartered in Southern California since then, including 40 years in Irvine. FRANKLIN PARK, ILL. — Apex Wire Products Co. Inc. has signed a 106,848-square-foot industrial lease in Franklin Park. On March 1, the company will begin occupying the space at 3701 Centrella St. Owned by Morgan Stanley, the Class A facility is located across the street from Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Tom Rodeno and Matthew Stauber of Colliers International brokered the lease transaction.
CHICAGO — Upwork, a global freelancing website, has signed a 67,730-square-foot office lease at 525 W. Van Buren St. in Chicago. The Silicon Valley-based start-up launched its Chicago presence in 2017. Melissa Rubenstein and Gary Kostecki of JLL represented the owner, AEW Capital Management LP. Allen Rogoway, Janna Luce and Eric Nolin of Cresa represented Upwork. Completed in 2002, the 16-story office tower consists of 519,668 square feet. This year, AEW plans to renovate the lobby.
PHENIX CITY, ALA. — Halpern Enterprises has signed Culver’s and Aldi to join the tenant lineup at Phenix City Marketplace in Phenix City. Smyrna, Ga.-based Halpern Enterprises is designing the 18-acre site that sits adjacent to Chick-fil-A, Verizon Wireless, McDonald’s, Precision Auto Tune and Waffle House. The site is also across from a Walmart Supercenter and next to Encompass Health’s Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. Phenix City Marketplace is located along U.S. Highway 280 about four miles from downtown Columbus, Ga.
HOUSTON — NAI Partners has negotiated a 12,084-square-foot office lease at 11550 Fuqua St. in Houston for local accounting firm Ham, Langston & Brezina LLP. According to LoopNet Inc., the Class B property was built in 1983. Griff Bandy of NAI Partners represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. The name and representative of the landlord were not disclosed.
MILWAUKEE — Heartland Advisors has unveiled plans to relocate to BMO Tower in the heart of Milwaukee’s central business district. The independent investment firm, which manages mutual funds, will occupy 10,873 square feet on the 12th floor. Alyssa Geisler of CBRE represented Heartland in the lease transaction. Mike Wanezek of Colliers International represented the owner, Irgens. Located at 790 N. Water St., BMO Tower is a 25-story office building currently under construction. The property is expected to open in December. Anchor tenants include BMO Harris Bank and Michael Best & Friedrich. Approximately 160,000 square feet of office space and 12,000 square feet of retail space remain available for lease.
HANOVER PARK, ILL. — Schnidt Cartage, a warehouse and distribution company, has renewed its 68,208-square-foot industrial lease in Hanover Park, a western suburb of Chicago. The property is located at 1625 Hunter Road. Mike Plumb and Andrew Block of Lee & Associates represented the owner, Prologis. Jeff Janda of Lee & Associates represented the tenant.
MILWAUKEE — Crescendo Collective has signed an 8,700-square-foot lease within The Factory Office Suites at The 42, an office development in Milwaukee’s Brewery District. The digital marketing firm will occupy the space later this year. Max Rasansky and Alyssa Geisler of CBRE represented the landlord, Scott Lurie. The Boerke Company represented the tenant. Office tenants at The 42 have access to a fitness center, coffee bar, rooftop deck and community lounge. Milwaukee Brewing Co. operates a brewery at the development. Approximately 35,000 square feet of space remains available for lease within the office portion.
Atisa Industrial Signs Dynasty Golf to Occupy 28,690 SF Manufacturing Plant in Tijuana, Mexico

TIJUANA, MEXICO — Atisa Industrial has signed a lease with Dynasty Golf to occupy the Coral Building at Pacifico Industrial Park in Tijuana. Dynasty Golf will utilize the 28,690-square-foot property to house golfing equipment manufacturing. This is the company’s first operation in Mexico. Octavio McFarland of NAI represented Atisa Industrial in the transaction.
ATLANTA — WeWork has signed a multi-floor, 100,300-square-foot lease at Centennial Tower, an approximately 665,000-square-foot office tower located at 101 Marietta St. in downtown Atlanta. WeWork’s long-term lease deal includes building-top signage. WeWork, one of the world’s largest coworking space providers, plans to add 1,300 members to the new space. This is WeWork’s largest space of it six Atlanta locations and its first in downtown. Katherine Lynch and Chris Port of CBRE represented the landlord, The Dilweg Cos., in the lease agreement. Clinton McKellar and Sam Hollis of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. Southeast Real Estate Business reported earlier this month that Dilweg signed tech startup company Steady to a full-floor lease within Centennial Tower.
