HUMBLE, TEXAS — Locally based brokerage firm Cypressbrook Co. has negotiated a 55,826-square-foot industrial lease at 8575 Volta Drive in Humble, a northern suburb of Houston. According to LoopNet Inc., the property was built in 2016 and totals 168,400 square feet. John Hornbuckle of Cypressbrook represented the landlord, Nuveen Real Estate, in the transaction. Jim Stark of CBRE represented the tenant, Neutron Holdings Inc., the company behind Lime electric scooters.

BOSTON — Foundation Medicine Inc., a manufacturer of medical tests and supplies, has signed a 580,000-square-foot lease for laboratory and office space at 400 Summer Street in Boston. Massachusetts-based WS Development is currently developing the 16-story building, which will total 625,000 square feet, including 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Foundation Medicine will move its headquarters to the building and occupy all of the laboratory and office space. WS Development expects to begin construction later this year and for tenants to move in by 2023. New York-based Morris Adjimi Architects and the Boston office of Stantec are the architects.
TOLEDO, OHIO — Dakkota Integrated Systems has signed a 66,603-square-foot industrial lease in Toledo. The supplier of Jeep parts is expanding and doubling its size at the facility, which spans 1.1 million square feet and is situated on 46 acres at 315 Matzinger Road. The lease term is for five years and five months. Ron Jurgenson of Reichle Klein Group and Rob Hughes of Newmark Knight Frank negotiated the lease. I.B.C. Inc. is the landlord.
CHICAGO — PerkSpot has signed a 14,020-square-foot office expansion at 320 W. Ohio St. in Chicago. The customized employee discount firm now occupies more than 27,000 square feet at the building. It is the company’s second expansion in the last 13 months. Allen Rogoway of Cresa Chicago represented the tenant in the lease transaction. PerkSpot offers a perk program where employees can gain rewards and exclusive discounts for their performance. PerkSpot also offers discounted merchandise and services and receives a commission on the value of items sold through its platform by merchants.
NOVI, MICH. — Bluewater Technology has signed a 90,000-square-foot lease for a new build-to-suit facility at 45833 12 Mile Road in Novi. Bluewater will relocate from a 57,000-square-foot facility in Southfield. Bluewater is an event technology firm that specializes in audiovisual integration. Conner Salsberry and David Giltner of CBRE represented Bluewater in the lease transaction. (Giltner now works for Colliers International.) The team also represented the landlord and developer, Amson Nassar Development. Scott Cave and Shane Ferrell of CBRE will work with Bluewater in the build-out process.
NEW YORK CITY — JAG-ONE Physical Therapy has signed a 3,300-square-foot lease in Staten Island. The property is located in the Amboy Shopping Center at 4343 Amboy Road. David Townes and Alana Freidman of Cushman & Wakefield represented JAG-ONE in the lease negotiations. Howard Seidenfeld of Global Realty Services represented the landlord.
INDIANAPOLIS — eHealth Inc. has signed an 81,515-square-foot office lease in Indianapolis for its eastern U.S. headquarters. The private online health insurance exchange will utilize the entire Lakefront 15 building within Lakefront at Keystone. Initially, eHealth will sublease two floors from current tenant Home Point Financial Corp. The sublease runs through October 2022 followed by a long-term arrangement for the 81,515 square feet of space. Tammy Fault and John Robinson of JLL represented ownership, Rubenstein Partners LP and Strategic Capital Partners LLC. Matt Kiger of Newmark Knight Frank represented eHealth. Rubenstein and Strategic Capital acquired the 1.1 million-square-foot office park in 2017.
STAMFORD, CONN. — Colliers International has arranged two office leases in Stamford, for a total 15,320 square feet. Law firm McCarter & English LLP has renewed a long-term lease for 11,058 square feet in the Canterbury Green building. Spruce Investment Advisors has renewed a five-year lease for 4,262 square feet in the 1 Stamford Plaza building. Jeffrey Williams and Hollis Pugh of Colliers arranged both leases. RFR Realty owns both properties.
EAST GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — RIPCO Real Estate has secured a 68,000-square-foot retail lease for department store chain Century 21 Stores on Long Island. The property is located in the Roosevelt Field shopping center of East Garden City, which also includes a Bloomingdale’s Furniture, Nordstrom, Macy’s and a variety of other retail and dining businesses. The store is scheduled to open in spring of 2021. Gene Spiegelman of RIPCO represented Century 21 Stores in the transaction. Simon Property Group owns Roosevelt Field.
UNION, N.J. — Jeffrey Realty has arranged a 46,800-square-foot retail lease in Union, a town just southwest of Newark, for Burlington Coat Factory. The property, formerly a Toys R Us, is located in the West Branch Commons shopping center, which is anchored by a Lowe’s and other retail businesses. Bill Farkas and Mike Testa of Jeffery Realty represented the landlord, Urban Edge, in the transaction. Cliff Simon of CNS Real Estate represented Burlington Coat Factory.
