BELTON, MO. — Furniture Deals, a family-owned furniture retailer, has opened a 50,000-square-foot showroom in the North Cass Shopping Center in Belton, located about 21 miles south of Kansas City. Furniture Deals replaces Price Chopper as the anchor tenant of the shopping center. The showroom doubles the size of the company’s original Belton location at 1737 E. North Ave. Founded in 2004, Furniture Deals now employs 100 people and offers a selection of furniture, mattresses and home decor.

ADA, MICH. — MichiganLabs has expanded into the second floor at 452 Ada Drive in Ada, about 10 miles east of Grand Rapids. In December, the software developer leased 2,541 square feet on the third floor. The new office space, totaling 1,643 square feet, will be called “The Lab” and will allow the company to expand its services and hire additional developers. First Cos. is building out the space and Integrated Architecture is providing interior design services. MichiganLabs plans to occupy the new space starting Oct. 7. Jason Webb of Colliers International represented MichiganLabs in the new lease. Brian Sikma of Highpoint Real Estate represented the undisclosed landlord.
DALLAS — NAI Robert Lynn has arranged a 17,300-square-foot lease for EJES Inc. at North Central Plaza III in Dallas. The civil engineering and land development firm will move its headquarters from another office in Dallas to the new space, located at 12801 Central Expressway, in November. Kent Smith of NAI Robert Lynn negotiated the lease on behalf of EJES. Onsite amenities at North Central Plaza include a deli, complimentary weekly shoe shine, a fitness center, conference center and a courtyard. EJES currently operates six offices across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
HOUSTON AND PASADENA, TEXAS — Baker Katz has arranged two leases for FedEx Office in Houston and Pasadena. In Houston, Lunden McGill of Baker Katz secured a 10-year lease for the retailer at 10550 Westheimer Road. Chace Henke of Edge Capital Markets represented the owner in the lease negotiations. In Pasadena, located roughly 15 miles southeast of Houston, McGill secured a five-year, 1,800-square-foot lease for a store at 3425 Spencer Highway. Brian Ellisor of Red Oak Commercial represented the building owner. FedEx Office provides an outlet for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground. In addition to shipping, FedEx Office offers printing, copying and binding services.
DES MOINES, IOWA — Ross Dress for Less plans to open two new stores in greater Des Moines on Saturday, Oct. 13. The store at Southridge Mall on the South Side of Des Moines will span 22,000 square feet. The West Des Moines store will span 25,000 square feet and be located within the Water Tower Place shopping center. With these new openings, Ross will operate six stores in Iowa and a total of 1,470 locations nationwide.
GARLAND, TEXAS — Lee & Associates has negotiated a 136,825-square-foot industrial lease at 2901 W. Kingsley Road in Garland, a northeastern suburb of Dallas. Nathan Denton of Lee & Associates represented the tenant Alliance Glazing, which does finish-outs of storefronts and façades, in the lease negotiations. Chris Stout and Randy Touchstone of JLL represented the landlord, Boston-based STAG Industrial. The tenant will relocate from its current space in Irving on November 1.
RENO, NEV. — S&S Activewear has signed a lease for an industrial facility at North Valleys Commerce Center in Reno. The national wholesaler of imprintable apparel will occupy the 802,113-square-foot property located at 9550 N. Virginia St., Building D. The company also plans to hire approximately 350 employees for the facility, which is owned and operated by CP Logistics NVCC II, a joint venture between CALSTERS and Panattoni Development Co. Michael Nevis, Michael Hoeck, Steve Kucera and Tim Gunsten of Kidder Mathews represented the landlord in the lease transaction.
MILWAUKEE — Core Creative has renewed its 14,408-square-foot office lease at the Tannery Business Center in Milwaukee. The marketing agency occupies the space at 600 W. Virginia St. Ned Purtell and Scott Revolinski of Founders 3 Real Estate Services represented the landlord, SARA Investment Real Estate LLC.
New England Development Signs Planet Fitness, Burlington to Westgate Mall in Massachusetts

BROCKTON, MASS.— New England Development has signed Planet Fitness and Burlington to Westgate Mall in Brockton, a city 25 miles south of Boston. Burlington will open a 43,000-square-foot location store at the mall, creating 50 to 100 new jobs. Planet Fitness typically operates 20,000-square-foot clubs, according to the company’ s website. Both tenants are scheduled to open at the mall this month. The new retailers join recently opened stores such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Staples, Verizon and XFINITY Store by Comcast. Additional tenants at Westgate Mall include Sears, Best Buy, Bath & Body Works, Famous Footwear, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, Buffalo Wild Wings and IHOP.
ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Paces Properties has signed Three Taverns Brewery to its Atlanta Dairies redevelopment, a planned mixed-use project in East Atlanta’s Reynoldstown neighborhood. The new brewery, dubbed Imaginarium, is set to open in summer 2019. The new location is an extension of Three Tavern’s flagship brewery in nearby Decatur. Imaginarium will serve four to five of Three Tavern’s core beers on tap, as well as a rotating list of 20 to 25 experimental beers. New brews will include juicy and hazy India Pale Ales (IPAs) and, in keeping with the Dairies theme, craft styles like milk stouts, fruit and cream sours and milkshake IPAs. Square Feet Studios is designing the new space, which will draw inspiration from laboratories and apothecaries of centuries’ past. Three Taverns will join other announced tenants at Atlanta Dairies including a café from THRIVE Farmers, Collier’s Department Store, a music venue with a rooftop bar and a diner and barbecue restaurant, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The project will also feature The Yard, a one-acre outdoor gathering area. The Atlanta Dairies redevelopment is expected to open in spring 2019.
