DETROIT — LinkedIn has signed a 74,500-square-foot office lease at the historic Sanders building in Detroit. The property, owned by Bedrock, is located at 1523 Woodward Ave. and dates back to the early 1900s. Renovations are underway and the job networking site plans to move into the new space within the next year. LinkedIn currently has 40 employees at its Detroit office.

DALLAS — Lee & Associates has secured a 55,376-square-foot industrial lease at 2115 Exchange Drive in Arlington. Mark Graybill and Colton Rhodes of Lee & Associates represented the landlord, Global Logistic Properties, in the lease negotiations. Reed Parker of Lee & Associates represented the tenant, Blue Ribbon Delivery Inc., a transportation and logistics firm.

HOUSTON — JLL has negotiated a 41,458-square-foot industrial lease at 7875 Northcourt Road in northwest Houston on behalf of Asia Cabinetry, a wholesale cabinet distributor. The space will continue to serve as the company’s headquarters, although it represents an expansion from its previous space. Jeff Venghaus and Geoff Perrott of JLL represented Asia Cabinetry in the lease negotiations. Darryl Noon of Transwestern represented the landlord, CPF Alamo Crossing LLC.

ADDISON, TEXAS — British tech firm Basis Technologies has relocated its North American headquarters from Vancouver to Dallas, signing a 4,200-square-foot lease at 16301 Quorum Drive in the Dallas suburb of Addison. Ryan Hoopes of Colliers represented the company in its lease negotiations. Basis Technologies plans to hire 100 additional employees in the U.S. over the next five years.

CHICAGO — Publicis has signed an office lease renewal and expansion at 35 W. Wacker Drive in Chicago. The new lease for 681,545 square feet represents a 50,000-square-foot expansion for Publicis, which is an advertising and public relations company. The firm is consolidating three other Chicago-area offices into this location. Also known as the Leo Burnett Building, 35 W. Wacker is a 1 million-square-foot, Class A building that is now fully leased. Drew Nieman and Christy Domin of CBRE represented the landlord, UBS Asset Management, in the lease transaction. Mike Christian and Steve Schneider of Cushman & Wakefield represented Publicis.

FRANKLIN PARK, ILL. — Freight shipping and trucking company K2 Express has signed a 91,859-square-foot industrial lease renewal and expansion at 10800-10900 Belmont Ave. in Franklin Park. The company previously occupied 67,337 square feet at the 600,000-square-foot property, which is owned by Prologis. Brian Carroll of Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) represented K2 Express in the lease transaction. Scott Gibbel of Cushman & Wakefield represented Prologis. In addition, K2 Express signed a long-term lease at a neighboring four-acre trailer yard. Carroll represented the tenant, while Steve Levitas and Bob Chodos of NKF represented the landlord, Hill Mechanical.

NEW YORK CITY – Media iQ Digital, a global analytics and technology company, has leased more than 23,000 square feet comprising the entire 25th and 26th floors of 261 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The company is nearly tripling its space by relocating from 8,013 square feet at 853 Broadway. The lease brings the 405,000-square-foot building to more than 87 percent occupancy. Other tenants at the building include Himatsingka USA, Richloom Fabrics Group, Dan Klores Communications and Tumi Inc. The Feil Organization owns the property. The asking price for the 10-year lease was $85 per square foot.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — South Korean-based restaurant chain Bonchon is opening its first Michigan location at the Knapp North retail development located at 2365 E. Beltline Ave. in Grand Rapids. The restaurant, whose signature dish is Korean fried chicken and wings, will occupy 2,644 square feet. Pinnacle Construction Group is constructing the three-building development. Other tenants include Sherwin Williams and Sara’s Sweets. Doug Taatjes and Hillary Taatjes-Woznick of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented Pinnacle in the lease transaction. Chris Prins of Colliers International represented Bonchon.

EL PASO, TEXAS — CBRE has negotiated a 56,400-square-foot industrial lease at 19 Butterfield Trail in El Paso on behalf of furniture producer South Shore USA Inc. The deal will provide a short-term warehouse lease to bridge the storage gap as the tenant constructs its own facility. Bill Caparis of CBRE represented South Shore USA in the lease negotiations. Chad McCleskey, also with CBRE, represented the landlord, Sealy SW Properties LP.

ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Core5 Industrial Partners has signed Saddle Creek Logistics Services to a 1.2 million-square-foot lease at Southwest 85 Logistics Center, an industrial building under construction in southwest Atlanta. Saddle Creek, a provider of supply chain solutions for retailers, manufacturers and e-commerce companies, will use the new space to provide distribution services on behalf of a home improvement retailer for its Southeast locations. Core5 expects to wrap up construction on the facility this summer. Ladson Montgomery of Newmark Grubb Phoenix Realty Group and Dave Watson of Newmark Knight Frank represented Saddle Creek in the lease negotiations. The transaction marks the largest industrial lease signed to date in the Atlanta region, according to Core5. Southwest 85 Logistics Center will feature 40-foot clear heights, more than 590 trailer spaces and 200 auto parking spaces.
