UTICA, MICH. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has brokered the sale of Shelby Corners in Utica, a suburb of Detroit. The sales price was not disclosed. The 76,390-square-foot shopping center is located at the northwest corner of Hall and Schoenherr roads. Tenants include Christmas Tree Shops and BuyBuy Baby, both subsidiaries of Bed Bath & Beyond. Michigan-based Grand Management & Development purchased the property. Ben Wineman, Carly Gallagher and Daniel Stern of Mid-America brokered the transaction.

PORTAGE, MICH. — NAI Wisinski of West Michigan has arranged the sale of a 19,188-square-foot office building in Portage, near Kalamazoo, for $2 million. The fully leased building is located at 5136 Lovers Lane. Bill Tyson of NAI arranged the sale on behalf of the buyer, Jay Kim Enterprises LLC. Marc Tourangeau and Kara Schroer of NAI leased up the property to full occupancy in 2016.

BIG RAPIDS, MICH. — Signature Associates has arranged the sale of a 35,856-square-foot retail building in Big Rapids in central Michigan. The sales price was not disclosed. The building is located at 706 Perry Ave. Joe Rizqallah of Signature Associates represented the seller, Blackmer-Cosgrove LLC, and the purchaser, Cocca Development. The space will be leased to Dunham Sports.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. — KJ Commercial has brokered the sale of Auburn Plaza in Rochester Hills, about 25 miles north of Detroit. The sales price was not disclosed. The 31,000-square-foot retail center is located at 240 E. Auburn Road. Kevin Jappaya of KJ Commercial represented the undisclosed buyer in the transaction. The buyer purchased the property in a 1031 exchange.

ROMULUS, MICH. — Burger & Co. has negotiated the lease of a 23,750-square-foot industrial building in Romulus, about 23 miles southwest of Detroit and five miles north of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The building is located on Cypress Road. Burger & Co. arranged the lease transaction on behalf of the landlord, D&G Construction. The tenant was not disclosed.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. — Lightning Technologies LLC has signed a 27,730-square-foot industrial lease in Rochester Hills, about 25 miles north of Detroit. The manufacturer of polyurea spray coating for shipping pallets will occupy the space at 2700 Bond St. Jay-R Development LLC is the building’s landlord. Larry Schultz of Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions represented the tenant in the lease transaction.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MICH. — KIRCO/KIRCO MANIX has broken ground on an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Plymouth Township, about 30 miles west of Detroit. The building, located at 41144 Concept Drive, will be home to Oerlikon Metco Inc. Peter E. Kepic and Peter J. Kepic of Colliers International coordinated the project on behalf of Oerlikon Metco. The Switzerland-based industrial and technology solutions group plans to use this location for producing advanced titanium alloys and high-end thermal spray powders for the automotive, aerospace, agricultural and medical industries. The facility is slated for completion in the spring of 2018.

OAK PARK, MICH. — Soaring Pine Capital has provided a $1.7 million loan for the acquisition of an industrial portfolio in Oak Park, a northern suburb of Detroit. The borrower, Paramount Industrial Machining Inc. (PIMI), used the loan to purchase three industrial buildings formerly owned by Paramount Precision Products Inc. PIMI is a leading supplier of precision component machining for the automotive, industrial, service and aftermarket business segments.
