AUBURN HILLS, MICH. — Automaker Stellantis (NYSE: STLA), parent company of brands including Jeep, Dodge and Ram, has unveiled plans to invest $13 billion over the next four years to grow its business in the U.S. market and increase its domestic manufacturing footprint. The investment, the largest in the company’s 100-year U.S. history, will support the introduction of five new vehicles across the brand portfolio; production of the all-new four-cylinder engine; and the addition of more than 5,000 jobs at plants in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Stellantis says the investment will increase its annual finished vehicle production in the United States by 50 percent over current levels. The new product launches will be in addition to 19 refreshed products across all U.S. assembly plants and updated powertrains planned through 2029. In Illinois, Stellantis plans to invest more than $600 million to reopen the Belvidere Assembly Plant to expand production of the Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Compass for the U.S. market. CHICAGO — CBRE has negotiated five new retail leases for QDOBA Mexican Eats in the suburbs of Chicago. The locations are in Vernon Hills, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Bloomingdale and Elmhurst. CBRE’s Phillip Golding represented the fast-casual restaurant. The 2,000-square-foot location at 700 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Vernon Hills is within The Marketplace at Vernon Hills, a retail center owned by Kimco Realty. Danada Square West in Wheaton is a grocery-anchored center owned by DLC. The 2,000-square-foot location in Downers Grove is within a property owned by Vic Mehta. LFI is the landlord for the Bloomingdale and Elmhurst properties. Holy Moley Guacamole is the franchise business for the new locations.
ITASCA, ILL. — The RDI Group, a manufacturer of engineered systems for the roofing, construction, power, metal coil processing and medical industries, has leased a 25,141-square-foot industrial building at 1070 W. Ardmore Ave. in Itasca. Jeff Janda and Chris Nelson of Lee & Associates of Illinois represented the owner, Town & Country Distributors, as well as the tenant. The facility will serve as a satellite warehouse for RDI Group’s primary location at 1025 W. Thorndale Ave. in Itasca.
LYONS, ILL. — eXp Commercial, a division of eXp World Holdings Inc., has brokered the sale of a 12-unit multifamily property located at 4337 Prescott Ave. in the Chicago suburb of Lyons. Randolph Taylor of eXp Commercial represented the buyer and seller. The asset features a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. Recent improvements include a new heating system, security camera installation and renovated bathrooms in select units. The seller was a long-term private owner. The buyer, a Chicago-based private investor, purchased the property in an all-cash transaction to expand its multifamily portfolio into suburban Cook County.
BELVIDERE, ILL. — Lee & Associates of Illinois has negotiated the sale of a 131,811-square-foot industrial building in the Chicago suburb of Belvidere. The property is located on 27.8 acres at 2964 Newburg Road. Jeff Galante of Lee & Associates represented the buyer, NexGen Manufacturing. Al Caruana of Cushman & Wakefield the seller, an entity doing business as 2964 Newburg Road LLC. The transaction marks the largest user sale in the Rockford submarket in the third quarter, according to Lee & Associates.
AURORA, ILL. — SVN Chicago Commercial’s Next Level Team, in collaboration with Capital Real Estate Partners, have brokered the sale of a 53,818-square-foot office building in Aurora. The property at 711 N. Commons Drive was sold vacant. Jennifer Hopkins and Olivia Czyzynski of SVN Chicago Commercial and Jay Scholten and Scott Fedyski of Capital Real Estate represented the seller, Liberty Commons NFP. Adam Johnson of NAI Hiffman represented the buyer. The asset garnered five qualified offers and went under contract within three months of hitting the market.
ROLLING MEADOWS, ILL. — Verizon has renewed its 128,894-square-foot office lease at Continental Towers, an office campus located at 1701 Golf Road in the Chicago suburbs of Rolling Meadows. Joe Stevens and Steve Degodny of Transwestern Real Estate Services represented ownership, while Jon Springer and Andrew Kaplan of CBRE represented Verizon, which has been a tenant at Continental Towers since 2016. The lease marks one of the largest office deals completed in Chicago’s Northwest suburban submarket in 2025, according to Transwestern. Continental Towers comprises 910,000 square feet in four buildings: three 12-story office buildings and an amenity-driven property known as the Hub, plus 1 acre of outdoor space. Tenants have access to a fitness center, conference center, tenant lounge, game room, underground parking and delicatessen. A pickleball court, golf simulator room and two basketball courts will soon be available for tenant use.
CHICAGO — The Boulder Group has brokered the $2.6 million sale of a single-tenant restaurant property occupied by Chipotle at 2935 W. Peterson Ave. in Chicago. The 2,160-square-foot building is situated near The Home Depot, Mather High School and Lincoln Village Shopping Center. Randy Blankstein and Jimmy Goodman of Boulder Group represented the seller, a Midwest-based real estate investor, and the buyer, a Southwest-based real estate investment fund. Chipotle has a 20-year lease at the property.
WEST CHICAGO AND BRIDGEVIEW, ILL. — Zenith Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) has acquired two facilities in metro Chicago: 1400 Powis Road in West Chicago and 9809 Industrial Drive in Bridgeview. Ikey Betesh of Meridian Capital Group as well as Frank Melchert, Matt Garland, Stevan Arandjelovic and Simon Porras of Cawley Commercial Real Estate sourced the two acquisitions for Zenith. The Cawley team has been retained as the leasing agent for the West Chicago property, which features a 67,500-square-foot warehouse with 5 acres of outdoor storage space.
WOOD DALE, ILL. — NAI Hiffman has negotiated the $2.6 million sale of a 20,541-square-foot industrial building at 344 Beinoris Drive in the Chicago suburb of Wood Dale. Joe Bronson and Paddy Dwyer of NAI Hiffman represented the buyer, a metal manufacturing company that bails, stores and distributes scrap metals nationwide. The buyer will nearly triple its previous footprint of about 7,000 square feet, also in Wood Dale. With heavy power infrastructure and outdoor storage capacity, the facility enables the manufacturer to expand processing and storage while maintaining its presence in the O’Hare submarket.
