EDGERTON, KAN. — Aerospace parts supplier Triumph Group has opened its new factory in Edgerton. The Berwyn, Pa.-based company began relocating its operations from Grandview, Mo., to the new facility in September and expects the move to be complete by June 2017. Located within Logistics Park Kansas City, the 156,000-square-foot manufacturing plant was built to accommodate the company’s growth and expanding technologies. The factory is the company’s new Small and Medium Parts Center of Excellence, which makes machining and assembly of aircraft components made from aluminum and various hard metal alloys. Products that will be made at the plant include landing gear structure and assemblies, seat/cargo tracks, floor beams, thrust reverser beams, stringer end fittings, wing attach fittings, installation brackets, hinge arm assemblies and engine inlet assemblies.

LAWRENCE, KAN. — Colliers International has arranged the acquisition of an office building located at 401 Arkansas St. in Lawrence. Kinetikos Bodywork Therapy purchased the 1,691-square-foot office building from George R. Learned Estate for an undisclosed price. Kirsten Flory of Colliers represented the buyer, while Doug Brown of McGrew Commercial represented the seller in the deal.

CA Ventures Delivers Eight Student Housing Communities for 2016/2017 School Year
CHICAGO — CA Student Living, the student housing investment and development division of Chicago-based CA Ventures, has completed eight student housing communities comprising nearly 4,000 beds across the U.S. Located in eight states, the properties are about 95 percent occupied and represent nearly 10 percent of the 47,700 off-campus student housing beds slated to deliver nationwide in 2016, according to the developer. Valued at more than $460 million, the new communities boost the size of CA Student Living’s portfolio to $1.5 billion. All offer fully furnished apartments with in-unit laundry and a 1:1 bed-to-bath ratio in most units. The newly delivered communities include: Uncommon Athens — Uncommon Athens is a five-story building located at 165 E. Dougherty St in Athens, Ga. It is within walking distance to both downtown Athens and the University of Georgia. The property’s 210 beds include a mix of one-, two- and four-bedroom floor plans, and the development contains 10,600 square feet of street-level retail space. Ferguson Property Group Acquires 50,000 SF Warehouse Building in Wichita for Retail/Office Conversion

WICHITA, KAN. — Ferguson Property Group has acquired the former Winfield Wholesale Grocery Building, a warehouse building located at 701 E. Second St. in Wichita’s historic district. SBJ Properties sold the 50,000-square-foot building for an undisclosed price to Memphis, Tenn.-based Ferguson. The buyer has a $20 million renovation planned for the property to convert it into retail and office space. Built in 1910, the property features underground parking. Patrick Ahern of NAI Martens represented the seller, while Mike Marrara of First Commercial represented the buyer in the deal.
OLATHE, KAN. — Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp. has acquired a 313,763-square-foot industrial building in Olathe, approximately 25 miles southwest of Kansas City, for $31.7 million. The property, located on 45 acres at 22525 W. 167th St., is net-leased to FedEx. The brand new building is a Class A, built-to-suit distribution facility. The seller in the transaction was undisclosed.
OLATHE, KAN. — CA Ventures LLC and Pathway Senior Living have opened Travanse Living at Olathe, a 132-unit assisted living and memory care community in Olathe, approximately 25 miles southeast of Kansas City. The project is the first seniors housing community developed by CA Ventures, and is a $22 million adaptive reuse project of a former Holiday Inn. The two-story community sits on a seven-acre site near Olathe Medical Center and several medical office buildings. It features 75 assisted living units and 57 memory care units. CA Ventures owns the property, which Pathway operates. The community also features a rehabilitation facility on site — The Rehab Place at Travanse Living at Olathe — which Olathe Health System operates.
WICHITA, KAN. — Vigilias Telehealth LLC has leased 400 square feet of space at 125 N. Market, a 19-story office building in Wichita. The company, a telemedicine and technology platform provider, will occupy space on the 14th floor, which will serve as its headquarters. The building has undergone roughly $4 million of improvements and upgrades since 2013. Amenities at 125 N. Market include free valet parking, a video conference center and concierge services. The facility can accommodate users with needs anywhere from 600 square feet to 26,000 square feet. Security National Life Insurance Co. owns 125 N. Market, and other tenants in the building include Cornerstone Design Development, Viaan Electronics and BalanceComp. Istvan Tamas of Weigand-Omega arranged the lease.
LEAWOOD, KAN. — Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc. has opened a 56,000-square-foot design gallery at Town Center Plaza in the Kansas City suburb of Leawood. RH Leawood offers three levels of artistic installations of home furnishings in a gallery setting, including an entire floor dedicated to the company’s RH Modern line with an integrated RH Contemporary Art Gallery. The new location features a 5,000-square-foot studio called the Design Atelier, which offers a fully integrated workspace for architects, designers and customers to reimagine one room or an entire home. KANSAS CITY, OVERLAND PARK AND LENEXA, KAN. — CBRE Group has brokered the sale of three apartment properties totaling 741 units in metro Kansas City for a total of $60 million. Bicycle Club Apartments, located in Kansas City, offers 312 one- and two-bedroom units. Amenities at the complex, built in 1987, include a business center, dog park, movie and DVD rentals, a clubhouse with pool, volleyball court, fitness center, tennis court and a grill and picnic area. The 149-unit Treetop Lodge Apartments in Overland Park, Kan. offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Amenities include a tanning bed, pool with sundeck, playground and fitness center. Lenexa Crossing Apartments in Lenexa, Kan. features 280 units, a clubhouse, fitness center, pool with hot tub, business center and walking trail. Jeff Stingley of CBRE represented the undisclosed sellers in the transactions. The buyers were also undisclosed.
OLATHE, KAN. — The Opus Group has unveiled plans for a 205,000-square-foot speculative industrial facility in Olathe, approximately 30 miles southwest of Kansas City. 56 Commerce Center is the first phase of a 505,000-square-foot master-planned project. The building, located on 53 acres at the southeast corner of Old 56 Highway and Loan Elm Road, is slated to be completed in January 2017. The multi-tenant facility will feature office space, 32-foot clear heights and a truck court. Opus will provide development, construction and architectural services for the project, and Joe Orscheln and Mike Mitchelson of CBRE will market the property for lease.
