DETROIT — Olympia Development has unveiled six projects in The District Detroit, including the restoration of three vacant historic buildings and the construction of three new mixed-use buildings near Little Caesars Arena. These projects will launch Phase II of development in The District Detroit, a $1.4 billion project surrounding the arena. This investment of nearly $200 million will bring more office tenants, storefronts and density to the area, according to Olympia. The projects will encompass more than 400,000 square feet of office space and nearly 70,000 square feet of street-level retail space. Historic renovation projects include 2210 Park Ave.; 1922 Cass Ave.; and 2110 Park Ave. New construction projects include 2715 Woodward Ave.; 111 Henry St.; and 120 Henry St.

DETROIT — LinkedIn has signed a 74,500-square-foot office lease at the historic Sanders building in Detroit. The property, owned by Bedrock, is located at 1523 Woodward Ave. and dates back to the early 1900s. Renovations are underway and the job networking site plans to move into the new space within the next year. LinkedIn currently has 40 employees at its Detroit office.

FARMINGTON, MICH. — Colliers International has brokered the sale of the Professional Pavilion in Farmington, a northern suburb of Detroit. The sales price was not disclosed. The 21,338-square-foot medical office building is located at 23133 Orchard Lake Road. The buyer, Healthcare Real Estate Services LLC, plans to do interior and exterior upgrades, including repaving the parking lot, lobby renovations and new landscaping plans. The company also plans to add an additional 14,600-square-foot building along the same road. Two tenants at the property include Beaumont Pediatrics and South Oakland Gastroenterology Associates. Gary Grochowski and Bryan Barnas of Colliers represented both the buyer and the seller, Ziegler-Michigan 5 LLC.

FLINT, MICH. — Signature Associates has negotiated the sale of a 180,000-square-foot retail property in Flint for an undisclosed price. The building is located at 4403 Clio Road. The sale is part of a federal court seizure. Grant Bruce of Signature Associates represented both the seller, Treasure Enterprise LLC, and the buyer, Rock Property Management LLC. The buyer is in the process of getting the property rezoned for industrial use.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — South Korean-based restaurant chain Bonchon is opening its first Michigan location at the Knapp North retail development located at 2365 E. Beltline Ave. in Grand Rapids. The restaurant, whose signature dish is Korean fried chicken and wings, will occupy 2,644 square feet. Pinnacle Construction Group is constructing the three-building development. Other tenants include Sherwin Williams and Sara’s Sweets. Doug Taatjes and Hillary Taatjes-Woznick of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented Pinnacle in the lease transaction. Chris Prins of Colliers International represented Bonchon.

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICH. — Bernard Financial Group has arranged a $4.8 million loan for the refinancing of a 145,063-square-foot industrial property in Chesterfield Township, about 30 miles north of Detroit. An undisclosed tenant occupies the building. David Dismondy of Bernard arranged the loan on behalf of the borrower, 50625 RWB LLC. Genworth Life Insurance Co. provided the loan.

PONTIAC, MICH. — Marmo Mecccanica NA has purchased a 13,519-square-foot industrial building in Pontiac for an undisclosed price. The company, which specializes in the manufacturing of edge polishing and bridge cutting machines used in granite fabrication, will relocate to the space at 1590 E. Highwood Blvd. Built in 1990, the building features overhead cranes and a flexible floor plan to accommodate expansion. Tom Jablonski of L. Mason Capitani CORFAC International represented Marmo Meccanica in the sales transaction. The seller was not disclosed.

WARREN, MICH. — Anytime Restoration Service Inc. has signed a 10,500-square-foot industrial lease in Warren. The disaster restoration company that specializes in both commercial and residential projects involving water, fire and mold cleanup will occupy the space at 6655 Chicago Road. Matthew Farrell and Kevin Tamer of CORE Partners represented the tenant in the five-year lease transaction. Brad Hitch of Deco Properties represented the undisclosed landlord.

GRAND BLANC, MICH. — KeyBank Real Estate Capital has originated a $14.7 million Fannie Mae loan for the refinancing of The Grand in Grand Blanc near Flint, Mich. Developed between 2014 and 2017, the multifamily property features 102 garden-style units. Todd Linehan of KeyBank originated the 10-year loan, which includes a 30-year amortization schedule.

DETROIT — Love Funding has secured a $7 million HUD 223(f) loan for the refinancing of Central Towers Apartments in Detroit. The affordable seniors housing property features 232 units within two buildings. David Strachan and Bruce Gerhart of Love Funding secured the 35-year loan. Financing proceeds will be used to pay off current debt, complete repairs and fund the reserve account.
