MILWAUKEE — The Dickman Co. Inc./CORFAC International has brokered the sale of a 42,550-square-foot industrial building in Milwaukee. The property is located at 7221 W. Parkland Court. Empower Properties LLC purchased the building from Parkland Court Enterprises. Samuel M. Dickman Jr., Samuel D. Dickman and Nick Keys of The Dickman Co. represented the seller in the transaction. Rand Wolf of The Boerke Co. Inc. represented the buyer.

CARMEL, IND. — Lee & Associates has arranged a lease of a 2,430-square-foot retail space for Huntington National Bank N.A. The space is in the Providence at Old Meridian building, located at 12505 Old Meridian St. Scot Courtney and Bart Jackson of Lee & Associates represented the tenant. DETROIT — The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has approved Barton Malow-Hunt-White to serve as the general contractor for construction of the new Detroit events center, which will be home to the Detroit Red Wings. The new facility is set to be located west of Woodward Avenue at I-75. The construction of the new center, residential and commercial mixed-use district will create approximately 8,300 jobs and $290 million in job-related income. Barton Malow-Hunt-White is an industry leader in sports and entertainment construction. Notable projects of the joint venture include the expansion and renovation of Michigan Stadium, Detroit Riverfront, Detroit Medical Center Pediatric Specialty Center and Amway Arena in Orlando, Fla. The new Detroit events center is a part of the $650 million public-private catalyst development project that includes a $200 million investment by Olympia Development of Michigan to redevelop an underutilized area in downtown Detroit. The area will be redeveloped into a mixed-use development of residential, retail and office space. Of the project costs, ODM will contribute $367 million (or 56 percent) and the state of Michigan and the DDA will contribute $283 million (or 44 percent). ROMEOVILLE, ILL. — The Missner Group has completed a $35 million food processing facility in Romeoville for Peacock Engineering Co. The 532,560-square-foot project included the complete renovation of the existing warehouse; the addition of 20,000 square feet of office space; multiple processing areas and production lines; and temperature-controlled storage spaces. The renovated property is located at 1001 W. Crossroads Parkway within ProLogis Park 55. The facility will be used to repackage frozen goods, which requires portions of the building to be temperature controlled to specific degrees at all times. The property features 113,907 square feet of refrigeration and freezer space and a 90,814-square-foot production area. Sparks Architects Inc. provided architectural services for the project.

MIDDLETON, WIS. — UW Provision Co., Middleton Farms Cooperative and U.S. Oil will build a new GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Middleton, a western suburb of Madison. The new CNG station will be at the Middleton Farmers Cooperative facility located at 1755 Pleasant View Road. The GAIN station will supply compressed natural gas to UW Provision’s fleet, which delivers meat and specialized food products across the Midwest. It will also provide CNG to other carriers and the general public.

BELLEVILLE, ILL. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of DaVita Metro East Dialysis, a 13,445-square-foot net-leased property in Belleville. The property, located at 5105 W. Main St., sold for approximately $3.9 million. Valerie Cook, Sean Sharko and Austin Weisenbeck of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a private investor. Cook, Weisenbeck and Sharko also represented the buyer, Art Belleville.

CHICAGO — Reed Construction has completed a 20,000-square-foot office build-out for Mondelez International, one of the world’s largest snacks companies. Mondelez will occupy space in the Triangle Plaza building located at 8770 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago. Reed Construction completed the demolition of existing space and reconstructed a new layout for Mondelez. The build-out features private offices, open work areas, a training room and conference room. Gastinger Walker Harden + Kincaid Malone provided the architectural services for the project. Mondelez is expanding its operations from its corporate headquarters in Deerfield, Ill. The Mondelez portfolio features nine billion-dollar brands including Cadbury, Nabisco, Oreo cookies, Tang powdered beverages and Trident gum and 52 additional brands.

CHICAGO – J.C. Anderson will complete a 20,000-square-foot office renovation for Ignite USA, an engineering and product strategy company, in Chicago. J.C. Anderson will complete the build-out on the seventh floor of the Central Loop building, which is located at 180 N. LaSalle St. The floor will be renovated to include private offices, conference rooms and open work areas. Construction is scheduled for completion this summer. Jason Hawkins of J.C.
