KANSAS CITY, MO. — Westchester, Ill.-based Tri-Land Properties has started the redevelopment of Brywood Centre, an 183,464-square-foot retail center along 63rd Street in Kansas City. A recently renovated Price Chopper anchors the center. Additionally, Dollar Tree has signed a 10-year deal to occupy 12,000 square feet of space. The renovation project includes a new building façade, exterior parking lot upgrades, and the construction of six outlot pads. Completion of the project’s first phase is slated for spring 2011. The redevelopment project is partially funded by Tax Increment Financing and a Community Investment District totally $10 million.

TROY, MICH. — Joe DePonio of L. Mason Capitani/CORFAC International represented M.A.K.S. Inc. in the purchase of 17,514 square feet of industrial space at 1150 Rankin in Troy. The buyer is expanding to the new space to accommodate its new medical division. The seller and terms of the sale were not released.
EUREKA, MO. — Stamford, Conn.-based Cenevo Inc. has leased 220,000 square feet of industrial space at the former Visteon facility at 101 Workman Court in Eureka. Cenevo’s 10-year lease begins this fall. Bob Staniforth of CB Richard Ellis brokered the transaction. Staniforth is the exclusive leasing agent for the property. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
MADISON HEIGHTS, MICH. — Investments Real Estate LLC has completed the disposition of a 43,000-square-foot industrial facility in Madison Heights. Located at 29330-29350 Stephenson Highway, the property is the last of the industrial holdings owned by the seller. Michael Grammatico and Garry Rogers of L. Mason Capitani/CORFAC International represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer and acquisition price were not released.
MONROE, OHIO — Appleton Papers has signed 219,648 square feet at Monroe Logistics Center Building A, which is located at 1025 Logistics Way in Monroe. The carbonless, thermal and security paper manufacturer plans to occupy the industrial property in October. The building features skylights, 36-foot clear ceiling heights, 60-foot bays, employee and trailer parking, and ESFR sprinklers. Si Pitstick of Cincinnati Commercial Realtors represented the tenant; Doug Armbruster provided in-house representation for the ownership, IDI. Terms of the lease were not released.
OLATHE, KAN. — McShane Construction Co. has recently completed the construction of a 13,255-square-foot CVS/pharmacy retail store in Olathe. Construction of the property began in September 2009 and the location celebrated its grand opening in June. The property features retail space, a L-shaped walk-in cooler and a fully operational pharmacy with a customer drive-thru lane. Cedarwood Architectural Inc. provided architectural services for the project, which was developed by CDI Development.
MOUNT PLEASANT, WIS. — Racine, Wis.-based Treasures Media Inc. has acquired a 209,166-square-foot manufacturing facility, which is located at 2745 Chicory Road in Mount Pleasant, for an undisclosed price. The wholesale book distributor plans to use the facility to accommodate its expansion. Gerry Norton of Binswanger’s Minneapolis office represented the seller, Paoli, Pa.-based Ametek Inc., in the transaction.
NEW BERLIN, WIS. — 1535 LLC has purchased 16333 West Rodgers Drive in New Berlin. The property offers 56,884 square feet of industrial space. James L. Coffey sold the property for an undisclosed price. Kevin Barry of Cassidy Turley Barry represented the buyer; Samuel M. Dickman Jr. and Samuel D. Dickman of The Dickman Company Inc./CORFAC International represented the seller in the transaction.
KENOSHA, WIS. — The Chicago office of Tremont Realty Capital has secured financing for Oakwood MHC, a manufactured housing community in Kenosha. The $4.5 million loan will be used to refinance the 215-unit community. The 5-year, non-recourse loan provided for approximately 63 percent loan-to-value with a 5.25 percent interest rate. Tremont’s Tom Lorenzini arranged the loan on behalf of the undisclosed borrower.
CLEVELAND — Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP has signed a 20-year lease to occupy the historic Rockwell Building, which is located at 1403 E. 6th St. in Cleveland. The company’s more than 300 attorneys and staff will relocate to the seven-story office building, which will be renamed The Calfee Building, in late 2011. The building has 115,000 square feet of additional expansion space available over the planned adjacent parking garage. Calfee is partnering with the building owner, Steve Calabrese and CRM, on its construction build-out. The team is seeking a LEED Interior Design and Construction certification for the project, which will feature a rooftop garden, decreasing energy consumption through individual control options, increasing energy efficiency with new windows and lighting, and recycled materials.
