ALBION, IND. — Minthorn Enterprises LLC has acquired a 42,750-square-foot site on 4.34 acres in Albion. Located at 71 E. 400 South, the property will be the future site of OPI Medical Headquarters – Orthopedic Precision Instruments. Alex Genova of CB Richard Ellis | Sturges represented the buyer and the seller, Group Dekko Inc., in the transaction. The acquisition price was not released.

WYOMING, MICH. — Franklin Partners is redeveloping and renovating 4247 Eastern Avenue S.E. in Wyoming. The company is raising the roof on the 324,000-square-foot factory, which was declared functionally obsolete, from 15 to 32 feet clear height on more than 70 percent of the building. Once completed in March, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Undercar Products plans to utilize the facility to manufacture automotive components. Built in the 1950s, the facility has been vacant since 2007. Franklin had partnered with Canada-based Rooflifters to add the addition clear height to the existing building. Additionally, Franklin Partners plans to upgrade the buildings' exterior and construct offices and an enhanced parking area. Colliers International | West Michigan brokered the building transaction with Undercar Products.

HOWELL, MICH. — Michigan Automatic Turning has acquired 112,500 square feet of industrial space in Howell. Arete Industries sold the property, which is located at 1045 Durant Dr. Jim Montgomery of Signature Associates represented the buyer; Montgomery and Steven Gordon, also of Signature Associates, represented the seller in the transaction. The acquisition price was not released.

MINNETONKA, MINN. — Daniel Trebil of NorthMarq Capital's Minneapolis Regional office has arranged $5.48 million in first mortgage financing for Glen Lake Landing Apartments. Located at 5416 Beacon Hill Road in Minnetonka, the multifamily property offers 97 units. Financing was based on a 10-year term and a 30-year amortization schedule. The loan was funded by AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance LLC.

CHICAGO — Romualdo Camarena LLC has acquired a distribution facility located at 3355 W. 48th Place in Chicago. The company plans to use the 25,000-square-foot facility to launch its new tequila import distribution business. Mark Nelson and Mike Nelson of NelsonHill represented the buyer; Matt Rogatz of Chicago Industrial Real Estate represented the seller, OK Real Estate Partners, in the transaction. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

ELMHURST, ILL. — Reed Construction has been selected to complete a medical office building build-out at Elmhurst Medical and Surgical Center in Elmhurst. Located at 340 W. Butterfield Road, the office renovation includes the construction of a surgical procedure room, recovery rooms, examination rooms, laboratories and doctors' offices. Additionally, Reed Construction will build-out a reception area, nursing stations, waiting areas and employee break rooms. A new mechanical and electrical system will also be installed. The Proteus Group is providing architectural services for the project, which is slated for completion in first quarter 2011.

OMAHA, NEB. — Cox Communications has leased 2,121 square feet of retail space in Benson Park Plaza, which is located at 72nd Street and Ames Avenue in Omaha. The company plans to open the located in March. Dan Dutton of World Group Commercial Real Estate represented the undisclosed landlord in the transaction. Terms of the lease were not released.
