BENSENVILLE, ILL. — Bestway Transport has signed a lease for 80,360 square feet of warehouse space at 1260 Ellis St. within O’Hare Logistics Center in Bensenville. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. Chris Nelson and John Sharpe of Lee & Associates of Illinois represented the owner, RREEF; Nelson also represented the tenant in the transaction.

CHICAGO — An undisclosed buyer has acquired 1514 West 77th Street, a 19-unit apartment building located in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Doug Fisher and Jon Morgan of Essex Realty Group brokered the sale. Additional details about the sale were not disclosed.
MADISON HEIGHTS, MICH. — Design Fabrications has leased 78,013 square feet of industrial space at 1100 E. Mandoline in Madison Heights for an undisclosed price. Paul Hoge and Kris Pawlowski of Signature Associates represented the landlord, First Industrial Realty Trust, in the transaction.
JOLIET, ILL. — Long Beach, Calif.-based California Cartage Co. has signed a lease for 374,460 square feet of industrial space at 251 Laraway Rd. within Laraway Crossings Business Park in Joliet. The transportation and logistics firm is relocating and expanding from its current location in Elwood, Ill. The building features 30-foot clear ceiling heights, 40 exterior truck docks, parking for 155 cars and 81 trailers, an ESFR sprinkler system, 98,000 square feet of air-conditioned space and T5 lighting. Mike Brown of e-realty represented California Cartage; Steve Connolly and Eric Tresslar of NAI Hiffman represented the landlord/developer, Ryan Cos., in the lease transaction.
CHICAGO — Chicago-based Structured Development has signed two restaurant leases at Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Powerhouse, which is located at 211 N. Clinton St. in Chicago. Prairie Fire has inked a deal for a 6,400-square-foot restaurant. Slated to open in later this year, the 150-seat restaurant will offer moderately priced contemporary American comfort food with an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients. New Line, a bar and grill concept from Spare Time Inc., has leased 3,000 square feet and will open in early October. CHICAGO — Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International has completed two industrial leases in Chicago. Cream Wine Co. has leased 12,500 square feet of space at 2455 S. Damen Ave. in Chicago. The 110,000-square-foot facility features access to Interstate 55, proximity to downtown Chicago, 30-foot clear ceiling heights and an ESFR sprinkler system. Edward Wabick, Michael Nelson and Mark Nelson of Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International represented the undisclosed landlord; Paul Broderick and Brad Borkowski of HSA Commercial represented the tenant. Additionally, Enterprise Leasing Co. inked a deal for 8,435 square feet of space at 1224 S. Western Ave. in Chicago. LIBERTYVILLE, ILL. — McShane Construction Co. has completed the construction of West Parking Deck, a 360-stall multi-story parking structure in Libertyville. Situated at the corner of Lake and Brainerd streets, the three-tiered structure is located just behind Village Hall. The structure features prefabricated pre-cast panels, a masonry exterior and a glass canopied entrance. Walker Parking Consultants served as program manager, structural engineer and owner’s consultant. Loebl Schlossman & Hackl provided architectural services for the project, which was developed by the village of Libertyville.
CHICAGO — Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has partnered with Real Estate Disposition (REDC) to launch a joint venture to provide an online auction sales platform. The joint venture will create a market for commercial property and note disposition by merging REDC’s auction capabilities with JLL’s global commercial property and note expertise. The commercial property auctions will debut with a 100,000-square-foot property sale in October. Investors are also able to auction notes of all property types and a variety of debt instruments, including first liens, second mortgages, whole notes, and sub-performing or non-performing notes.
CHICAGO — Essex Realty Group has brokered the sales of four apartment buildings in Chicago. The properties sold for a combined total of $1.13 million. The properties include a 19-unit walk-up multifamily building located at 7419 S. Phillips in Chicago’s South Shore; a vintage six-flat apartment building located at 327 S. Central Park in Chicago’s Garfield Park; a three-flat building located at 3108 W. Polk in the Lawndale neighborhood; and a three-flat property located at 3038 W. Flournoy, also in the Lawndale neighborhood. David Goss and Jon Morgan of Essex brokered the transactions.
WOOD DALE, ILL. — Horizon Logistics, dba Itasca, Ill.-based Seko Worldwide, has leased 39,322 square feet of industrial space at 101 Mark St. in Wood Dale. The tenant is expanding and relocating from 1470 Thorndale Ave. in Elk Grove Village. The 177,014-square-foot facility, which Seko will occupy, features 7,986 square feet of office space, 24-foot clear ceiling heights, five exterior docks and one drive-in door.
