HARRISONVILLE, MO. — A 65,000-square-foot Price Chopper grocery store has been completed within The Simmons Companies’ Harrisonville Marketplace development located in Harrisonville. When completed, Harrisonville Marketplace will house 243,895 square feet of retail. The grocery store has relocated to the center from its existing property at Highway 291 and Commercial Street in Harrisonville. The Price Chopper, which features several energy efficient initiatives, also houses Harry’s Liquor Store, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Rice Garden Chinese and a selection of prepared food. The store is scheduled to open to the public on March 25.

PEKIN, ILL. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a Westgate Apartments, a 30-unit multifamily property located at 2028-2032 Westgate Dr. in Pekin. An undisclosed buyer has purchased the facility from a private investor for $729,200. Shaun Buss and Sean Lyons in the downtown Chicago office of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller in the transaction.

CHICAGO — Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Mid-America Asset Management has secured five new tenants at Marshfield Plaza, a 454,000-square-foot Target-anchored urban power center located in Chicago. The most recently signed leases, which total 16,000 square feet, include Anna’s Linens for 8,500 square feet; Simply Fashions for 3,000 square feet; Harold’s Chicken & Solomon’s Fish for 1,900 square feet; Nail Works for 1,400 square feet; and GameStop for 1,200 square feet. While Anna’s Linens is scheduled to open in June and Simply Fashions is scheduled to open in May, Harold’s Chicken & Solomon’s Fish, Nail Works and GameStop were scheduled to open in February. Richard Spinell, Paul Bryant and Mary Beth Menelli of Mid-America represented the landlord, Chicago-based Primestor Development, for all five of the leases. Jim Sakanich of CB Richard Ellis represented Anna’s Linens; Eli Kalman of Matanky Realty Group represented Simply Fashions; and Bill Paul of Xsite Real Estate represented GameStop in negotiations. Harold’s Chicago & Solomon’s Fish negotiated its lease in-house. With its second phase underway, which is anchored by Petco, Jewel-Osco, Staples, Marshalls and LA Fitness, Marshfield Plaza is expected to be fully complete by this summer.

CHICAGO — Locally based Matanky Realty Group has brokered the sale of a 6,044-square-foot, single-story warehouse building located at 2920 North Elston Ave. in Chicago. Both the buyer and seller were not disclosed. The property was listed at $700,000. Malik Elliot and Terri Cox of Matanky Realty Group represented the seller; Kathleen Cordes of Prudential Preferred Properties represented the buyer in the transaction.

DETROIT — A 30-story hotel tower has been completed at the Greektown Casino-Hotel, which is located at 555 E. Lafayette Ave. in Detroit’s Greektown Entertainment District. The 420,000-square-foot hotel houses 400 rooms, including 29 two- and three-bedroom suites. Amenities at the property include a business/concierge center, a fitness center, Shades Lounge and Bistro 555. The cost of completing the hotel, which opened on February 12, was not disclosed.

BOLINGBROOK, ILL. — On behalf of developer LTD Management Co., Rosemont, Ill.-based McShane Construction Co. has topped out the aloft Hotel located on Boughton Road in Bolingbrook. The new hotel is situated within The Promenade Bolingbrook, which is a mixed-use development featuring more than 1 million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment. McShane Construction broke ground on the 77,352-square-foot aloft Hotel in June 2008, and completion is slated for July. The 155-room property will include a state-of-the-art meeting room, a fitness center and a swimming pool. Campbell Architects provided designed services for the project. The hotel is a division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.

INDIANAPOLIS — Boca Raton, Fla.-based Barry Geller Mortgage & Investments has brokered the sale of Creekwood Apartments located at 2100 Westlane Rd. in Indianapolis. The multifamily community, which is situated on a 54-acre site, houses 518 units. Englewood, N.J.-based MPI Management has purchased the property from St. Louis-based MREF 111 PROPERTIES 11 for $15 million.

BOLINGBROOK, ILL. — Saratoga Food Specialties has signed a lease for 150,249 square feet of industrial space located at 771 W. Crossroads Parkway in Bolingbrook. Corum Real Estate Group owns the 269,662-square-foot facility that was recently completed within the Crossroads Lakes Business Park. The transaction was valued at approximately $7 million. The pre-cast building features 30-foot clear ceiling heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and eight exterior docks. Saratoga Food Specialties’ space includes a 15,000-square-foot office component and a 20,000-square-foot production/lab area. The company, which is relocating from its former facility in Elmhurst, Ill., is expected to take occupancy at the building this spring. David Bercu in the Industrial Services Group of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler represented Corum Real Estate Group; John Schwarze of Epic/Savage Realty Partners represented Saratoga Specialties in negotiations. Additional terms of the lease were not disclosed.

MCLEANSBORO, ILL. — Swansea, Ill.-based Holland Construction Services has completed the $4 million Fox Meadows Supportive Living Facility located on South Marshall Avenue in McLeansboro. The 30,430-square-foot senior living community houses 41 studio and one-bedroom apartments. The property includes a central full-service kitchen and dining room, and kitchenettes within individual residences. McLeansboro-based Blair Minton and Associates will manage the property. Sugar Grove, Ill.-based Gleason Architects provided design services for the project.

BOLINGBROOK, ILL. — Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International and Peak Development have partnered to develop a mixed-use project on a 21-acre site located at Falcon Ridge Way and Janes Avenue in Bolingbrook. The project, named Promenade Place, will be constructed southwest of Promenade Bolingbrook, which is another mixed-use development that opened an approximately 1 million-square-foot retail component in 2007. Although designs are still being completed for Promenade Place, initial plans call for as many as three multi-story office structures and two residential buildings, with various business and lifestyle amenities. Promenade Place could house up to 170,000 square feet of conventional office space and 30,000 square feet of medical office space. Construction of the first phase of the multifamily component is scheduled to commence this year. The office component will be marketed for a corporate build-to-suit.
