AUBURN HILLS, MICH. — Dominion Real Estate Advisors has brokered the sale of a 121,263-square-foot industrial building located at 1700 Atlantic Blvd. in Auburn Hills for an undisclosed price. The property sits on roughly eight acres along I-75. The tenant is Grupo Antolin, a supplier of automotive interiors. Eric Banks, Andrew Boncore and Alex Tokarz of Dominion represented the seller, CORE BKG 1700 Atlantic LLC, a Burton-Katzman entity. Chris Dowell of Newmark represented the buyer, 1700 Atlantic Blvd. LLC. The property will become the new headquarters of Superior Electric Great Lakes Co., an electrical contracting company.

DETROIT — Bernard Financial Group (BFG) has arranged a $3.8 million loan for the refinancing of a 142-unit multifamily property in Detroit. Dennis Bernard and Joshua Bernard of BFG arranged the loan on behalf of the borrower, Cityside Owner LLC. Genworth Life and Annuity Insurance Co. provided the loan.

ST. LOUIS — Washington University School of Medicine has opened the new Jeffrey T. Fort Neuroscience Research Building, an 11-story academic building located at 4370 Duncan Ave. in St. Louis. The project represents an investment of $616 million, according to the general contractor, locally based McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. Considered one of the largest neuroscience research buildings in the world, the facility will help accelerate research in areas that include Alzheimer’s disease and brain tumors. The project team, including architectural firms CannonDesign and Perkins+Will, designed the facility to achieve LEED Gold certification. Situated on the eastern edge of campus, the 609,000-square-foot building accommodates 1,000 faculty and staff, including 95 research teams. Additional space could be built out in the future to accommodate another 350 faculty and staff, including about 145 research teams. The building includes an 1,846-space parking structure with bicycle racks and electric vehicle charging stations, as well as an elevated pedestrian connection that links the research building to an existing parking garage. COLUMBUS, OHIO — PREMIER Design + Build Group has completed Phase II of the Rickenbacker Logistics Park in Columbus. CT Realty is the developer of the 382-acre industrial park. Phase II included three new buildings, expanding the development by more than 2 million square feet. Phase II also involved the construction of Raymond Avenue and Henson Family Street, as well as expanding an existing retention pond. PREMIER also completed tenant improvements for Building 7, a 1 million-square-foot property that is home to a global beverage company. PREMIER recently began work on Phase III, which will add a 773,000-square-foot building. When complete, Rickenbacker Logistics Park will total 4 million square feet. The project team included Harris Architects, Swift Engineering and Verdantas. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing partners included Connelly Electric, MVP Plumbing Corp., Dalmatian Fire and MK Industries Inc.

BEMIDJI, MINN. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $23.2 million sale of the Sanford Health Clinic Portfolio in Bemidji, a city in northern Minnesota. The two neighboring medical office buildings total 74,700 square feet. Seth Haron, Ashish Vakhariya and Darin Gross of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller and collaborated with Marcus & Millichap’s Sykes Cargile and Rob Lyons in representing the buyer. Jon Ruzicka of Marcus & Millichap assisted in closing the transaction. The properties sit adjacent to the Sanford Health Bemidji Medical Center and Sanford WoodsEdge senior living campus. Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the U.S. and the primary employer in the Bemidji area.

CHICAGO — Interra Realty has negotiated the $3.4 million sale of a four-property apartment portfolio totaling 14 units in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The portfolio consists of two apartment buildings, a single-family home with coach house and a vacant lot. Joe Smazal of Interra represented the buyer and seller, both local private investors. The properties were recently renovated with updated kitchen cabinets, appliances and bathroom vanities as well as refreshed common areas.

Located on Messner Drive adjacent to the Chicago Executive Airport, the fully leased property is home to Ashland Millwork and Cadence Inc. The multi-tenant property is located at 9700 Industrial Drive immediately off the four-way interchange of I-294 and 95th Street. Jeffrey Locascio and Chris Wilbur of Entre brokered the transaction. The buyer was a joint venture between Clear Height Properties and Harbert US Real Estate, an investment strategy sponsored by Harbert Management Corp. Entre has been retained to market the property for lease. The seller was undisclosed.
