PLYMOUTH, WIS. — SRS Real Estate Partners has arranged the $5 million sale of a single-tenant property occupied by Walgreens in Plymouth near Sheboygan. The 14,490-square-foot freestanding building is located at 2455 Eastern Ave. Built in 2004, the property is situated on 1.5 acres. Walgreens has 11 years remaining on its lease term. Dan Elliot and Sean Lutz of SRS represented the seller, Torrington Development Inc. MEI Realty purchased the building.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MINN. — Stahl has completed construction of the expansion and renovation of Prairie View Elementary and Middle School in Eden Prairie. The school serves children from early childhood through eighth grade. The $9.6 million expansion added approximately 42,000 square feet to the existing 124,000-square-foot school. In particular, the school features a new classroom wing, gymnasium and exterior storage building. Wold Architects and Engineers designed the project in collaboration with the Elk River Area School District, which expanded the school due to recent substantial population growth in the area.

PLOVER, WIS. — KW Commercial has negotiated the $3.5 million sale of Village Park at Plover, a 44,911-square-foot retail center in Plover near Stevens Point in the center of the state. The property, located at 3012 Village Park Drive, is home to a variety of retail, restaurant and office tenants. Matthew Klein of KW represented the buyer, Amsden LLC. Jeff Rowlett of Marcus & Millichap represented the undisclosed seller.

Tom Haverty of Colliers represented the seller, Compass Properties LLC. John Stafford of Colliers represented the buyer, RMS Real Estate LLC.

DETROIT — Quicken Loans founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert has suffered a stroke. The billionaire businessman and leading force behind Detroit’s downtown rebirth was hospitalized early Sunday. Gilbert suffered the stroke while at the hospital and was immediately taken in for a catheter-based procedure, then moved to recovery in the intensive care unit. Gilbert is awake and responsive, according to a statement from Jay Farner, Quicken Loans CEO. The company will update the public as additional details become known. Business at the Rock Family of Companies will continue under the normal, everyday direction of their respective CEOs. Over the past decade, Gilbert has invested nearly $6 billion in rebuilding Detroit, according to The Detroit News. Bedrock, his real estate arm, owns a number of buildings downtown and is underway on major projects such as the 900-foot Hudson Tower.

GERMANTOWN, WIS. — Smart Warehousing has leased a 200,000-square-foot industrial facility at Zilber Property Group’s Germantown Gateway Corporate Park in Germantown, a northwest suburb of Milwaukee. The building, known as Zilber Industrial 3, is under construction and slated for completion this fall. Kansas City-based Smart Warehousing is a warehousing, fulfillment and logistical solutions company with operations located throughout the country. John Sharpe of Lee & Associates represented the tenant in the lease transaction. Michael Kleber of Zilber represented the landlord. Zilber recently completed a 706,000-square-foot build-to-suit for Briggs & Stratton Corp. at the 140-acre Germantown Gateway Corporate Park. The company is developing another 200,000-square-foot speculative building at the park.

ST. CHARLES, ILL. — Lee & Associates has negotiated the sale of two buildings in St. Charles for undisclosed prices. The first was a 5,100-square-foot office building located on School Road. Jay Farnam of Lee & Associates represented the buyer, AMI Group Inc. The second transaction was the sale of a 13,250-square-foot industrial building located at 2541 DuKane Drive. Mike Androwich Jr. of Lee & Associates represented the buyer, El Milagro.

ALGONQUIN, ILL. — SVN | Chicago Commercial has brokered the sale of a 7,549-square-foot restaurant property in Algonquin for $1.1 million. The freestanding building is located at 2561 County Line Road. Tim Rasmussen and Olivia Czyzynski of SVN brokered the transaction. The buyer, an operator of Mexican restaurants, plans to open a casual Mexican concept, according to Rasmussen.

CHICAGO — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the $1.1 million sale of two apartment buildings spanning 25 units in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood. The buildings are located at 700 E. 81st St. and 8055 S. Langley Ave. James Ziegler and KJ Zelenika of Marcus & Millichap marketed the properties on behalf of the seller. The pair also represented the buyer.

WILLMAR, MINN. — Kraus-Anderson has begun construction of a 52,000-square-foot dealership for Ziegler CAT’s agriculture and construction equipment in Willmar. The company is expanding its equipment sales, rental and repair services in the central Minnesota area. Ziegler CAT is one of Caterpillar’s largest dealers in North America. Ziegler sells and services CAT construction, paving, forestry, mining equipment, trucks, generators and industrial engines. The new project will replace the company’s current 5,360-square-foot facility in Willmar. The two-story development will feature a retail showroom, a 25,000-square-foot shop, warehouse and offices, and a 7,800-square-foot cold storage building. Designed by CNH Architects, the property also includes two bridge cranes, lube systems and a wash bay. Completion is slated for winter 2020.
