BROOKFIELD, WIS. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp.’s Investment Sales team has brokered the $1.7 million sale of a 4,991-square-foot, multitenant retail building in Brookfield. A private investor purchased the property located within Underwood Crossings, a 175,000-square-foot retail center. The development is located at the southeast corner of Bluemound Road and Columbia Drive approximately 12 miles west of downtown Milwaukee. The subject building features a Starbucks, Great Clips and T-Mobile. Target, Trader Joe’s and PNC Bank shadow anchor the property. Carly Gallagher of Mid-America and Dan Cohen of Mid-America Real Estate – Wisconsin LLC brokered the transaction on behalf of Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos. US Inc.

DE PERE, WIS. — The Boulder Group has arranged the $1.3 million sale of a single-tenant KinderCare property in De Pere, a suburb of Green Bay. The net-leased property is located at 1553 Arcadian Lane. Randy Blankstein and Jimmy Goodman of The Boulder Group represented the seller, a Midwest-based real estate fund. A family office from the West Coast purchased the property. KinderCare has operated at this location since 1999 and recently elected to execute an early lease extension. KinderCare is a for-profit childcare provider operating more than 1,600 locations.

MILWAUKEE — Marcus Theatres, a division of The Marcus Corp., plans to make multi-million dollar renovations at several Marcus Cinemas in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and Nebraska. The renovations will add recliner seating to all of the auditoriums at the South Shore and Menomonee Falls Cinemas in the Milwaukee market and the Elgin Cinema in Elgin, Illinois. Existing UltraScreen auditoriums at the Elgin Cinema and the Pickerington Cinema in Ohio, and an additional auditorium at the Twin Creek Cinema in Nebraska, will be upgraded to the UltraScreen DLX concept. A Take FiveSM Lounge will also be added at the Pickerington and South Shore Cinemas, and Zaffiro’s Express outlets will be added at the South Shore, Elgin and Pickerington locations. Additional renovations are planned for the Southgate Cinema in Milwaukee and the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, Wisconsin.

NEENAH, WIS. — The Morgan Partners LLC has arranged the $760,000 sale of an 8,000-square-foot bank property in Neenah. CitizensFirst Credit Union of Oshkosh purchased the property located at 640 S. Green Bay Road. The buyer intends on renovating the building and opening to the public in spring 2015. Ed Bowen and Nicholas Lang of The Morgan Partners represented the buyer. Joe Kleiman and Dan Rosenfeld of Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin represented the seller, a regional bank.

MILWAUKEE — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has brokered the sale of Point Loomis Shopping Center in Milwaukee. Cincinnati-based Phillips Edison purchased the 160,533-square-foot shopping center for an undisclosed sales price. Point Loomis Shopping Center is located at the southwest corner of 27th St. and Loomis Road. Tenants at the property include Kohl’s, Pick ‘n Save and Chase Bank. Ben Wineman and Joe Girardi of Mid-America Real Estate Corp. along with Dan Rosenfeld of Mid-America Real Estate – Wisconsin LLC represented the buyer, Phillips Edison.

OSCEOLA, WIS. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the $980,000 sale of Scenic Valley Apartments, a 24-unit apartment property in Osceola, 42 miles northeast of Minneapolis. The property is located at 290 Zindaus St. The single, freestanding apartment building includes 24 one- and two-bedroom units located on 1.2 acres. Evan Miller, Dan Linnell, Mox Gunderson and Jon Ruzicka, of Marcus & Millichap’s Minneapolis office represented the seller and buyer, both limited liability companies. BELOIT, WIS. — The Boulder Group has brokered the $1.5 million sale of a single-tenant U.S. Cellular property in Beloit. The property is located at 2933 Milwaukee Road. Randy Blankstein and Jimmy Goodman of The Boulder Group represented the seller, a Wisconsin-based real estate investment company. The buyer was a Midwest-based private partnership. U.S. Cellular has 10 years remaining on its lease, which expires in January 2024.
