ROUND ROCK — Austin-based TRISUN Healthcare, a subsidiary of Harden Healthcare, has opened the new 90,000-square-foot Wyoming Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care facility, located at 7230 Wyoming Springs Drive in Round Rock. The property features 102 assisted living units, 32 of which are dedicated to memory care residents. Prevarian Senior Living designed and built the seniors housing facility, which features a spa, exercise room with classes, a library with computers, a theater, wine bar, gardening spot and a playground for visiting children. The facility also includes an on-site barber, beauty salon, country store, an on-site chaplan and TRISUN's Signature Dining Service.

HOLLYWOOD AND LIBERTY CITY, FLA. — Link Construction Group has finished two affordable housing developments totaling $12.2 million, located in Florida. In Hollywood, the firm completed the $5.2 million, 33-unit City of Hollywood Wiley Street Redevelopment project. The City partnered with Libreria Economic and Social Development to develop the property, which Frank Costoya Architects designed. Also included in the construction was a community center. The company also finished the $7 million, 60-unit Parkview Gardens, located at 1475 NW 61st St. in Liberty City. Parkview Gardens LTD developed the project, which Siskind Carlton and Partner designed.

SOUTHFIELD, MICH. — Ciena Healthcare, a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care facilities in Michigan and Connecticut, has obtained a five-year, $29 million loan from Capital One Bank. The loan proceeds will be used to refinance three skilled nursing facilities in Michigan that were built since 2005. Southfield-based Ciena Healthcare operates 32 skilled nursing communities across the state and four communities in Connecticut. The company provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitative services. Capital One Bank is based in McLean, Virginia.

FORT WORTH — The UNT Health Science Center and Brookdale Senior Living have been awarded a $7.3 million Health Care Innovation award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a program to reduce hospital re-admissions of seniors housing residents. The Brookdale Senior Living Transitions of Care Program, a partnership between the UNT Health Science Center, Florida Atlantic University and Brookdale Senior Living, will begin in Brookdale's Texas and Florida facilities. The program could reduce hospital re-admissions by 11.2 percent and save Medicare $9.3 million.

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. – A new affordable senior housing complex broke ground at 2525 El Camino Real in Santa Clara. The $15-million complex is being developed by EM Corporation,in conjunction with Pacific Housing and theCity of Santa Clara. The 48-unit complex, called 2525 El Camino Real Senior Apartments, is set to open in the summer of 2013. It is being designed by KTGY Group.

ORLANDO, FLA. — CNL Healthcare Trust has signed an agreement with Sunrise Senior Living to enter a $226 million joint venture that will own seven seniors housing communities. With the transaction expected to close within 60 days, the joint venture, of which CNL will own 55 percent, will assume ownership of Sunrise of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, Calif.; Sunrise on Connecticut Avenue in Washington, D.C.; Sunrise at Siegen in Baton Rouge, La.; Sunrise of Metairie in Metairie, La.; Sunrise of Gilbert in Gilbert, Ariz.; Sunrise of Louisville in Louisville, Ky.; and Sunrise at Fountain Square in Lombard, Ill.

LOMBARD, ILL. — CNL Healthcare Trust has entered an agreement with Sunrise Senior Living for a joint venture that will own seven seniors housing communities valued at $226 million. CNL will contribute approximately $57 million and will own 55 percent of the joint venture, with Sunrise owning the remainder. The seven communities include Sunrise at Fountain Square in Lombard. Sunrise is currently the sole owner of the seven communities and will continue to operate them under a long-term management agreement. The transaction is expected to close within 60 days.

TEWKSBURY, MASS. — Oak Grove Capital has arranged a $10 million bridge loan to refinance Bayberry at Emerald Court, a 90-unit assisted living and memory care community in Tewksbury. Oak Grove arranged the 18-month, interest-only loan on behalf of the borrower, a limited liability company. Bayberry at Emerald Court is managed by Boston-based Northbridge. The bridge loan enables the borrower to lower the interest rate on debt it had obtained prior to repositioning the property.
