NEWPORT, N.J. — The LeFrak Organization has begun leasing Bisby, a 34-story apartment tower in Newport, located across the Hudson River from Lower Manhattan. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects & Planners with interiors by Woods Bagot, Bisby houses 385 units in studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom configurations. Amenities include a coworking center, golf simulator, dedicated content studio and a dog spa, as well as a 33,000-square-foot landscaped rooftop terrace with a pickleball court, dog run and an outdoor kitchen. Rents start at $3,445 per month for a studio apartment.

ROCKVILLE, MD. — Everhome Suites, which is part of the family of brands of Maryland-based owner-operator Choice Hotels International Inc., will open three new hotels totaling 334 rooms in the Northeast. The properties include a 106-room hotel in Portsmouth, N.H.; a 114-room hotel in Somerset, N.J.; and a 114-room hotel in Rochester, N.Y. All rooms will feature fully equipped kitchens. Construction of the hotels is underway, and the openings are scheduled for 2025.

LAKEHURST, N.J. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $6.5 million sale of a retail building in Lakehurst, about 60 miles east of Philadelphia, that is net leased to convenience store Wawa. The building at 604 Pine St. was completed in 2023 and totals 5,000 square feet, according to LoopNet Inc. Derrick Dougherty, Scott Woodard, Mark Krantz and Nick Geaneotes of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller and procured the buyer, both of which requested anonymity, in the transaction.

PRINCETON, N.J. — Biotechnology firm Amicus Therapeutics has opened a 27,200-square-foot office in Princeton. The space spans the fourth and fifth floors of the building at 47 Hulfish St., which is located about a block away from Princeton University’s campus. According to LoopNet Inc., the building was constructed in 1985 and totals 71,500 square feet. Ware Malcomb designed the space, and Sweetwater Construction Corp. served as the general contractor.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Reynolds Asset Management has received a $16 million loan for the refinancing of Princeton Pike Office Park, a six-building campus located just north of Trenton in Lawrenceville. Northwest Bank provided the loan, which carries a fixed interest rate of 6.6 percent. Reynolds acquired the property in April 2022 in partnership with Capital Solutions, at which time the campus was 50 percent leased, and implemented a capital improvement program. Today, Princeton Pike Office Park has an occupancy rate of 95 percent.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Prime Group, an investment firm based in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., has acquired two self-storage portfolios totaling roughly 1 million net rentable square feet in New York and New Jersey. The number of units and exact locations were not disclosed. The first portfolio consists of 14 properties totaling roughly 800,000 net rentable square feet that are located in New York’s Hudson Valley region. The second portfolio comprises five properties totaling 245,000 net rentable square in Northern New Jersey. Prime Group acquired both sets of properties in conjunction with a third portfolio that totals 680,000 net rentable square feet across 11 properties that are scattered across the country. The new ownership will operate the facilities under its Prime Storage brand. The seller and sales price were also not disclosed.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Urby, a joint venture between Ironstate Development and Brookfield Properties, has begun leasing a 317-unit apartment building in Jersey City. Rising 265 feet and 25 stories, Journal Square Urby offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a pool, fitness center with a yoga studio, rooftop garden, outdoor grilling and dining areas, a lobby café and a dog park. Dutch architecture firm Concrete and New York City-based HLW designed the project. Rents start at approximately $3,300 per month for a studio apartment.

Vermella-Broad-Street-Newark

NEWARK, N.J. — Locally based firm Russo Development has completed Vermella Broad Street, a 296-unit apartment community located at 355 Broad St. in downtown Newark. The property consists of two five-story buildings that house studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Residences are furnished with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and select units offer private balconies. Vermella Broad Street also features 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space. Rents start at roughly $2,000 per month for a studio apartment. Leasing began last November.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — A partnership between two New Jersey-based firms, The STRO Cos. and KRE Group, has begun an industrial redevelopment project in the Northern New Jersey community of Florham Park. The project will convert a former office building that sits on a 14.4-acre site at 19 Vreeland Road into a 136,714-square-foot warehouse with a clear height of 36 feet, 26 loading docks, one drive-in door and parking for 108 cars and 36 trailers. Cushman & Wakefield will market the project for lease. Completion is slated for the first quarter of next year.

PRINCETON, N.J. — Galapagos, an international biotechnology company, has signed a 15,000-square-foot lease in Princeton. Galapagos will take space at Princeton Point, an office and life sciences complex located at 600 and 650 College Road E. Todd Elfand and Kevin Carton of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Nuveen Real Estate, in the lease negotiations. CBRE represented the tenant.
