NEW YORK CITY — Cushman & Wakefield has brokered the sale of an apartment building located at 316 E. 55th St. in Manhattan. An undisclosed buyer acquired the seven-story 25,040-square-foot building for $17 million, or $678 per square foot. The elevator-serviced building features 41 rent-regulated apartments, a laundry room and 1,000 square feet of amenity space. The buyer plans to implement a significant renovation program at the building. Clint Olsen, Alex Woodlief and Will Conrad of Cushman & Wakefield represented the undisclosed seller in the deal. George Samarjian of Lineaire Group served as advisor to the seller.

NEW YORK CITY — Besen & Associates has arranged the sale of a mixed-use building located at 151 Bruckner Blvd. in the South Bronx’s Port Morris section. The five-story building features 12 apartment units and four retail spaces. A group led by Steven Satz (151 Realty LLC) acquired the property for an undisclosed price. Amit Doshi and Shallini Mehra of Besen & Associates represented the undisclosed seller in the deal.

NEW YORK CITY — Madison Realty Capital (MRC) and Artemis Real Estate Partners have acquired two adjacent industrial buildings in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens for $78 million. A long-term family ownership sold the properties, which total 613,000 square feet and are located at 184-10 and 186-60 Jamaica Ave. The joint venture plans to upgrade both buildings, including enhancing the building envelope, mechanical infrastructure and elevators. At the time of sale, the properties were 75 percent occupied by several warehouse and manufacturing tenants such as French Connection, Hanky Panky and Gotham Greens. Originally built in 1923 and 1953, the buildings feature five freight elevators, two passenger elevators and 500 feet of frontage along Jamaica Avenue. Additionally, the property features 12 loading docks and a 30,000-square-foot parking lot with more than 100 parking spaces. Adam Doneger, Adam Spies, Josh King and Avery Silverstein of Cushman & Wakefield sourced Artemis as the equity partner in the transaction. NEW YORK CITY — Houlihan-Parnes Realtors has arranged a $52.5 million first mortgage loan for a 285,000-square-foot office and retail property located at 2501 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The 10-year loan features interest-only payments. The former Alexander’s/Caldor’s department store was converted into a multi-tenant office and retail property in 2001. PC Richard & Son, Marshalls, Children’s Place, Capital One Bank, the City University of New York, the U.S. Social Security Administration and 1199 SEIU Health Care Training and Child Care Center are current tenants. Christie Houlihan, Bryan Houlihan and James Houlihan of Houlihan-Parnes Realtors arranged the loan for the borrowers, which include Samuel Jemal, members of the Jemal family, James Houlihan and members of Houlihan Partners.

NEW YORK CITY — HFF has arranged $28 million in refinancing for a mixed-use building located at 110 Fourth Ave. in Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill neighborhood. Scott Aiese of HFF secured the 10-year, fixed-rate, interest-only loan for the undisclosed borrower. The property features 49 residential units in a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts, and 5,197 square feet of retail and medical office space on the ground level. On-site amenities include a concierge, common room and fitness center. Additionally, most units feature balconies and/or in-unit washers and dryers. Built in 2007, the property was 100 percent leased at the time of financing.

NEW YORK CITY — Ariel Property Advisors has arranged the sale of a two-building multifamily portfolio located at 517 W. 180th St. and 570 W. 182nd St. in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. A private investor acquired the portfolio for $15.8 million. Totaling 37,305 square feet, the portfolio features 51 residential units in one-, two-, three- and five-bedroom layouts. Thirty-nine of the units are rent stabilized and 12 are free-market apartments. Michael Tortorici, Victor Sozio, Matthew Gillis and Shimon Shkury of Ariel Property Advisors represented the seller, a private investor, and the buyer in the deal.

NEW YORK CITY — Ready Capital Structured Finance has arranged a $12.1 million loan for the refinancing, renovation and stabilization of a mixed-use building located at 926 Southern Blvd. in the Woodstock neighborhood of the Bronx. The undisclosed borrower will use the loan to complete a gut renovation and reconfiguration of the loft apartments and street-level retail suites. The 50,700-square-foot building features residential units and 6,700 square feet of retail space. The non-recourse, interest-only loan features a 24-month term with one extension option, flexible pre-payment and is inclusive of facilities to provide future funding for capital expenditures and interest and carry reserves. David Cohen of Ready Capital negotiated the financing.

NEW YORK CITY — Global fashion retailer Michael Kors has agreed to acquire Jimmy Choo, a London-based luxury footwear and accessories brand, for approximately $1.35 billion. Jimmy Choo PLC (LON: CHOO) has approximately 150 company-operated retail stores, 560 multi-brand locations and more than 60 franchise stores in locations worldwide. The company has a strong presence in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. With this acquisition, Michael Kors Holdings Limited (NYSE: KORS) hopes to grow Jimmy Choo sales to $1 billion; balance its portfolio with greater product diversification; enhance the company’s position in the men’s and women’s luxury footwear segment; and enhance exposure to global markets, with a particular focus on Asia. NEW YORK CITY — Greystone has provided a $78.4 million HUD-insured permanent loan to refinance Boro Park Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Brooklyn. Fred Levine of Greystone originated the financing for the borrower, Centers Health Care. The borrowers have invested more than $20 million in renovations to the property, which it acquired more than five years ago. Boro Park Center features a variety of clinical services, including amputee recovery and training; cardiac therapy; comfort care and palliative care; dental services; isolation rooms; occupational therapy; oxygen management; peripherally inserted central catheter management; physical therapy; pleurx management; post-surgical orthopedic care; respiratory management; speech therapy; stroke rehabilitation; and tracheostomy care.
